Since Ian's da-yi likes the picture of Ian scratching his head, here is the picture of him doing both the scratching and sucking of fingers...is there any reason why both the hands must be doing things at the same time?? Isn't it tough to coordinate doing 2 things at a time?? Sometimes it can make mama laugh when Ian tries to aim to put his finger in his mouth but doing it wrongly and it went to his nose =p

My Favorite Toy

Ian has been most fasicinated with the new toy which is on loan from cousin Joy...as there is endless playing of music and fascinating lights so Ian is very thrilled with the toy...this is a toy that can keep him quiet and attentive while mama and daddy get busy with daily chores...well it's also training Ian to hit and kick on the right spot....keep trying...

Fashion Show - clothes from various people

Here are some of the clothes which are gifts for baby Ian and as he is growing bigger, mama thinks it would be better to take a shot of these clothes for keepsake before he outgrows them hahaa....altho quite abit of his clothes are from his jiu jiu who biaed to BKK and got loads of them....so BKK got cheap and gd infant clothes....and for those of you who dun see pics of clothes u gave to Baby Ian...well he has yet to grow till that size to wear them yet...dun worry mama will surely take pics of them for Baby Ian to thank you all =) and of coz Ian is endowed with plenty of clothes which are passed down from his cousins....so mama has headache each day with so many clothes that Ian has...he is so blessed being the younger baby =)

11th week - Sucking 1 finger and scratching head

Ian is getting better at sucking his finger and now he's sucking 1 finger instead of whole fist...sometimes when we are in living room, we know that he is awake when we hear his sucking finger sound...boy, it can be quite loud...either he is asking for milk or he's trying to suck himself to sleep but soon you will hear him cry when he is not satisfied hahaha

What is funny is when Ian sucks with the right hand...his left hand would be cordinated by scratching his own hand...seems like his both hands must be busy at the same time...but coz of his long nails, often his head gets scratches all over...don't babies feel pain?? hhmm

This week, mama also started bringing Ian out for shopping as GSS starts hhaaa...well mama carried him for 5 hrs and boy, mama's hands almost gave way when come home but it's worth it...just to get out of the house and enjoy the shopping and eating hehhee....see how Ian is smiling when he gets home too... he also enjoyed shopping as much as mama does =) well think GSS ends only in July rite?? hahahaa

Will sleepiness cause babies to smile???

We are just curious if sleepy babies tend to smile more?? Coz we observe Ian smiling when he gets real drowsy and going into dreamland...he must be real happy going into sleep and mummy tries to capture such shots coz it's really sweet smile...don't u think so too?? Maybe there shld be some studies done on this hahahaa Ian can do his future thesis on this hahaa

Week 10 - More wakeful moments....and sucking of fist

This week, mummy observed that Ian has more wakeful moments - he tends to observe more things around him and does not fall asleep easily....mummy has to pat for really really long before the little Ian gets 'drowsy' so imagine the muscles building up hahaa....but means mummy also spending more time patting him to sleep...and less time for herself sigh...

This week Ian is also learning about his mouthing experience...he is sucking his hand so much that the mittens get real wet so mummy decided not to wear his mittens at home...and ended up he sucks his own fist...and makes a whole lot of noise hahaa...sometimes he tries real hard to suck to make himself go to sleep but cries coz he never succeeded...if only he can, then mummy no need to pat so hard hahaa...GD TRY, IAN!!! Another observation is he is only sucking his right hand and his left hand is always scratching his head hahaa...well so daddy must keep on trimming his nails if not he would be scarred all over....

My cousins...

Here is a picture of the cousins taken together at the Chng Residence celebrating Mother's Day together and look at Kor Kor Seth there waving at the camera....while Joy and Ian look so lost in the photo taking. This is sure a memory shot which the cousins can laugh at when they grow up....

Happy Mother's Day!!!

This is the 1st mother's day the family is celebrating but it's sure mummy's wish that Ian will grow up soon to wish mummy 'Happy Mother's Day!'...it should be soon rite???

Ian turns 2 months old

9 May - Ian turns 2 months old and he is in tis outfit which was given by his grandma for his fullmth and doesn't he look like he has outgrown his clothes already???

Ian is placed in his stroller whenever mama wants to bia shopping on Fri nites and wkends =) Hope he can sleep well in the comfy stroller...

This car seat borrowed from a friend has been much great help to mummy and daddy coz he can be carried around in this car seat while the parents have their meals and he can be found comfortably sitting there snoozing away...and this is often the scene u see him in church mezanine floor...while church friends do disturb us saying we are trying to enforce warnings on him at such tender age, look at the 2 warning signs that are just next to his head =)

Ian does not wipe his mouth....

This is a picture of Ian trying to smile after his satisfying feed and he has forgotten to wipe his mouth, that caused many milk marks left on daddy and mummy's bed...endless washing of bed sheets...

This is the all time favorite pose of Ian....in the surrendering position..sometimes daddy will disturb him by putting him in this position in order for him to get to sleep faster...wonder if that works...of course not lah, daddy dun be lazy...PAT ME!!!

21 Apr - Ian had his first jab

Ian took his first 6-in-1 jab on 21 Apr at Everton Clinic....he weighed 5.3kg at that time (wow..he put on 1.5kg since birth) and before he even took the jab he cried, not coz he was afraid of the jab but more so he was HUNGRY...hheehee he waited too long for the doc and grew hungry...well mama will make sure he is not hungry for his next jab...the whole process was video-ed down by daddy...and he is due for his 2nd jab and plus Rotavirus oral on 2 Jun 07...

Ian's passport to travel...

Both parents were 'gan jiong' to do passport for Ian so that the whole family can travel soon...so bia-ed to take a picture of Ian...din want to go studio as we are unsure when he will be alert to take picture so both parents took picture on their own and thank God the photo was allowed to do passport and after much trial, here is the 'stern' looking Ian in his passport photo....doesn't he looks chubby...let's see how long he can pass through the custom with this baby look face as the passport is supposed to last 5 yrs hhmmm....

Ian got baptised on 8 Apr 07 - Easter Sunday

Ian got baptised on Easter Sunday with her cousin Joy in TA church. In the picture you can see Ian is being baptised with water, it is a significant event for Christian as it means that Ian is a child of God and being parents, we will groom the boy to be a Man of God...

Ian's baby shower on 6 Apr 07 - Good Friday

This is our family picture taken on Ian's shower party which was held on 6 Apr 07 - Good Friday. Alot of friends and relatives came by to check out the new born baby. Ian received a whole load of gifts and ang baos . Pastor HF came by to give him blessing with anointment of oil on his forehead so that Ian would grow up to be a man of God .

Ian's cot

This is Ian's cot and sometimes he naps in this cot but he prefers parents' bed...coz more spacious and sure feels more secured huh...but poor daddy and mummy have to make way for his open arms position when sleeping...well coz he is Daddy's Precious and Mummy's Gem so got to make way for him...

Training for sleeping on the tummy

Mummy was trying to train Ian to sleep on his tummy but under estimated his arms strength, he could support himself on his arms and took a long time before he could settle down for 1 hr sleep only...but he prefer not to have his legs straighten...look at the odd position in the picture He looks like he is sleeping pretty soundly isn't he?? well mummy will keep on trying...since it's said that he will sleep better on tummy...dunno if it's true

Tired Ian on the bouncer....

mummy often put Ian on the bouncer in the living room in the day...on such a hot and tiring day, see how messy Ian can be found sleeping with his hands and feet getting out of the bouncer....he looks like some 'tao2 ge1' after some tiring working day like real....

Ian's little foot

Ian weighed 3.82kg and 52cm long at birth. He has long limbs according to alot of people, let's see if he would outgrow his daddy in future...here is a snapshot of his 'tiny' foot taken while mummy is feeding Ian...

Smile-ly Ian...

He is often found smiling in his sleep (could it mean he is having a sweet dream?? hhmm wat can he be dreaming of?? Endless flow of milk and honey?? hahahaa ) and here is a quick snap of one of his many smiles and check out the little 'pimple' at the chin area...well it has disappeared now..hhmm does it mean he has outgrown his teens years yahhh....mummy pining for that man...

Ian's eyes

When Ian was only a 12-day old baby, he is often found with his eyes opened (which is unusual) to observe the world around him, this makes him a curious baby. Here is the picture of him figuring out the black object in front of him (the camera lah!)

9 Mar 07 - Little Ian is born!!!

This is our son, Ian. He was born on 9th Mar 07. He weighed 3.82kg at birth which makes him a relatively BIG baby...This photo was taken soon after the delivery and with daddy's hand (as shown in the picture) trying to calm the crying Ian. So Ian Iong Song En is born in the year of the PIG (and many chinese believe it's a gd year to have a baby as it is the Golden Pig Year...which only comes every 60 yrs?? hhmm guess he would have many many other piglets friends...oink oink
