What a 'rewarding' saturday....

Since Wed, mama has been telling Ian about this eventful Saturday when it would appreciated if he could stay gd so that mama and daddy can attend a talk at Ngee Ann City and thereafter buy some toys for him...so we brought him to taka real early...see the shop behind is barely open and there Ian is zzz in his pram, taking his early morning nap...

Just afraid that the place would be too cold for him, we put on a real stylo jacket for him...and there he is with his sleepy eyes...but he kept real gd throughout the 2 hr session and we got him loads of toys from Taka Craziest Toy Fair...indeed it was crazy coz there were so so so many pple and we had to manoveur around with his pram....but gd thing was he does not know what are toys yet...we got 2 bagful of toys for him...so all these must have been worth it for his early waking up and qiong with us....

Wk 20 - Ian starts his hearty laughter =0

If you have observed Ian's earlier pics...he normally would grin or give a wide smile...this week we were surprised at a few occasions when Ian gave a real hearty laughter...it sounds like he's having a great time playing with mama and daddy....Here's a pic of him really laughing....but but mama read some magazines that babies at this age can learn to say mama or dada so mama tried...and the best part is when teaching him to say 'mama', he would laugh and laugh and laugh...hhmm is mama such a joke?? hahahaa...anyway this boy loves people talking to him...but there are occasions he would smile at the person talking to him....but there are some times he would be grouchy...so if he ever frowns or look grouchily at you...take heart, it's just 1 of his bad moments hahaa...perhaps just woke up from some bad dreams or mama making him 'fast' from his milk hehehee

Ian becomes aware of his surrounding...

One of the normal wkday noon, mama brought Ian to ah-mu's place for lunch and when placed in the playpen, he looked fine. Just when the famished mama tucked happily into her lunch, there she heard Ian's loud cry....hhmm then saw a tearful Ian found himself in the unfamiliar playpen. Then we wonder if he is becoming more aware of his surrounding....these days we hardly hear Ian cry anymore...so that cry must have mean some fear in him...well well we shall observe if he is getting more fussy...here is a pic of him zzzz in mama's arms coz mama dun dare put him down anymore =( anyway when he came home, he was happy on his king size bed again hhmm

Ian learning to drink from bottle

Since Ian turns 4 mths, Mama has been thinking of letting him try other stuff besides milk...so on day 137, mama gave him the 'porridge essence' (hhaa the water remaining from cooking porridge lor)
Since he loves to hold stuff then made him hold his own bottle...this is gd training for him since he got itchy hands and legs hahaha but he still does not like to drink from bottle...sigh gotta start training...

Day 137 - Ian's 1st visit to the zoo

Ian attends Baby Javier's full mth celebration...

Today, Ian attends baby's full mth celebration for the 1st time...but he was overwhelmed by the many pple at the place and was always checking out...there were numerous pple who carried him but he was sleepy...so made alot of noise...finally slept in mama's arms when we waited to take pic together with baby Javier...hhmm it seems so long ago that Ian was Javier's size hahhaa but this shows that Ian feeds well mah =) and am sure Javier will catch up soon.. yeah....1 more play mate for Ian...

Ian's feasting on a fish??

Now we see Ian wanting to chew on things....sometimes when he does not get enough of his own fingers, he would grab mama's fingers to suck then to chew...wondering if he is teething so gave him a fish teether....it seems quite shiok but it's messy too with all saliva drooling

Well his natural soother is his thumb....he seems to be able to suck himself to zzz on some occasions...it just makes us wonder WHEN....

Is Ian abt to turn????

Ever since the PD warned us abt Ian being able to turn on his own...we've been real careful coz he is really showing signs of turning...

And mama just realised Ian loves looking into the mirror at himself while he's on his tummy tummy time (there is a small mirror at the toy) hhmm Ian checking out his hair if it's neat haha
But he sure loves his tummy2 time as sometimes he would make noise when we make him back to his lying position...but his neck is surely getting firmer with each tummy time =)

Ian is a 'grabber'....

These few weeks Ian has been quite into his grabbing habit....he would grab daddy's glasses...po-po's (ie maternal granny) gold chain....mama's hands (to put into his mouth to suck and bite) and his own clothes...
So mama decided to let him hold his own rattle cum teether toy....but look how bored he is with the Pooh bear rattle...so for new parents out there...dun buy too expensive toys for kids...look how fast they can get bored with a toy...gd excuse huh haha

It's Ian's fav tummy tummy time...

This week, Ian has been having alot of tummy time coz we realised that he enjoys it...altho he will make tireless effort in trying to keep his head upright, however there are still grins on his face when he is on his tummy...only when we see him really tired then we will flip him over...and we can really hear him panting but but...he must be asking 'When is my next tummy time?' coz he enjoys it so so much =)

Day 127 - Ian goes for his jabs...AGAIN...ouch

Ian goes for his jabs again...and here is Ian's pediatrician with his jab

Day 127 - Ian goes for his jabs again and this time we took a pic with his PD, Dr Phang at Everton Clinic who is a nice and caring doc esp to kids and babies (unlike the one we met earlier sigh...) Look at the stringe Dr Phang has on his hand and the look on Ian's face hehe...well rem Ian, this is for ur own good =) At 18 weeks, Ian now weighs 8.2kg (put on 700gm over past 6 weeks) and he has grown taller at well now he is 66cm...hhmm now PD is warning that Ian might learn any time and it might not be safe to put him alone on the bed...hhmm headache man!

Wk 18 - Ian is starting to purse his lips...

This week, we noticed that Ian loves to purse his lips....either coz he finds himself drooling too much or he thinks this is fun hahaa...anyway caught this cute pic of him...mama's fav pic and its on mama's hp....doesn't he look chubbier than ever (for those who have been commenting that Ian is getting chubbier each week hehee)
Ian is watching a video 'God made animals' that is borrowed from church lib (highly recommended by ah mu again haha) and he is real fascinated by the colourful pics (but grandma says otherwise...sigh) or shld I say he loves watching tv prog (hhmm is it coz mama watched too much tv while conceiving him) but this video is accompanied with hymns and do hope Ian will grow up with all these christian literature...

Ian reading his book on the high chair....

hhmm we tried putting Ian on his high chair while we had our meals (as he does not like being alone in the room when he knows we are having conversation) so these days he join us at the dining table...except that he has his lib books to 'feast'.. look at the pic on the left...he seems like a diligent baby reading his book on colours...as if huh...check out below

There he is....looks like normal boys who get so so distracted (oh did I say boy...hahhaa..I mean kids hahaa) by things ard rather than his books...

Ian turns 4 months old...changing looks

Ian attends a wedding lunch for the 1st time...

Today, Ian attended a wedding lunch with daddy and mama at Pan Pac hotel...it was for daddy's fren (Uncle Joel) and it was a 9-course lunch (plus solemnisation) but Ian was grouchy (look at the pic which he was trying to 'punch' Uncle Ben hahaa) as he did not have his beauty sleep in the morning (as we had to bia to church for morning svc) and what is amazing is he only drank 90ml of milk to last till late noon...hhmm it really makes mama wonder how come babies get so distracted when they are outside and when they are home...they are always hungry...hhmmm

Week 17 - Ian is trying to lift his head off the ground

This week, we see Ian trying to lift his head even on sitting position...he is trying real hard to sit and even during bath time, he is trying to turn his head behind what mama is doing to his back. So we tried to put him on his tummy and he showed much efforts in lifting his head but it seems tedious to him...hhmm just wishing he could sit soon so we do not need to carry him so so much hehee

Does Ian look more like daddy or mummy?

Hhmm this is the common qn pple ask when they see Ian now....so does he really look more like daddy or mummy? Since he can't quite answer now so let him see it for himself when he grows up. As he can't sit v well yet to take pics with us so we went down to his 'level' to take pics with him hehee..it was quite fun 'squeezing' him in between us and look at the below 2 contrasting expressions we caught him in the pic (and of course crop us away coz we din look as gd haha)

Does the 'frowny' Ian or the cheeky smile Ian looks better in the pic?? HHmm wonder what he was thinking when daddy and mummy were trying to take pics with him....

Week 16 - Ian is talking more than ever....

This week, we see a really talkative Ian...guess his cold is gone and he is feeling ever better than before so there goes his rattling....and it's really on and on and on...hahaaa mama captured some videoclips of him talking and best...talking to himself for 5 mins...this is the talking alarm clock that wakes us up every morning (besides his punching fist and flying kicks to wake us up) so u can see who is the 'terror' at home hahaa...above pic is Ian trying to talk (again!) would he ever become the most talkative boy in class??
