Ian behind the wheels??

Normally Sun morning after breakfast...we would take some time to 'roam' round in order to get a car park lot in church premises (coz the 1st svc has not ended) and on this special sunday...while mama went to get a drink...Ian was behind the wheels with daddy...looks as if he's really controlling the wheel huh...hhaaa no lah the car is parked outside the 7-11 lah....not safe driving baby like that lah (in case anyone mistook and take the pic and show police haha)

Baby Ian finally got a shot taken with Baby Manfred

Ian has visited Baby Manfred twice but din get a chance to take a shot with him....well we did it on the 3rd visit within 2 weeks...hehee but Ian just got distracted...well Ian is happy with this new playmate and am sure Manfred will grow up very soon so his mama would enjoy her motherhood...Auntie SC, press on....Manfred would soon respond to your smiles and tickles and won't be so at this stage for long...so enjoy the 'peace' while u can coz when they start to crawl and walk...u would be busy busy chasing them...enjoy the rest of the maternity lve and we see u real soon again....eat well and sleep well k =)

Day 205 - Ian went for the 1st housewarming...

Ian attended the 1st housewarming at Auntie Jocelyn's place (also known as Auntie J) and he had his try on the shiok queen size bed...he wish he could get such a big space for himself huh...well Auntie Carol had a gd time carrying the boy as if she was attending Body Pump class hahaa...let's see if Auntie Carol complains of muscles ache hahaa...well here's wishing Auntie J have a gd stay at Simei and enjoy her master bedroom hehee

Well well now Ian had a gd time of play with Auntie Denise and Uncle YM as well....altho they came late, they enjoyed tickling Ian and letting Ian scratch them (hhmm hope it din leave any scar huh heee) anyway this is a candid shot coz they both were so engrossed 'entertaining' Ian...hhmm they look like they love kids coz they assisted to carry Ian later at Auntie SC's place...well well why dun u both consider having a playmate for Ian and Manfred SOON!! hehee then it would be more fun....

Day 204 - Ian attends wedding lunch at Conrad

On the sat noon.....daddy and mama after Ian had a power nap of 1.5 hrs then brought him to attend Uncle Justin's wedding lunch at Conrad...this boy was fascinated by many things in the ballroom but he was most terrified by the umpteen 'yum seng' that was going on...it just startles him each time a table cheers to the couple...well we were sitted with a couple friends who has a gal who is only 2 mths younger than Ian and we were exchanging alot of 'baby talk'

Ian was most comfy napping on mama's arms like that till he forgot his feeding time =)

On the way back to the car...mama let Ian figure out the chocolate box from the wedding lunch..hhmm let's see how long we can drag before letting u figure out wat is in the box...

Day 203 - Ian's 1st MRT ride..with JOY

For the 1st time, Mama ventured out shopping with Ah Mu in MRT with the 2 kids coz thot it's easier than to fold the prams into cabs coz it can be cumbersome esp with 2 babies...so here we go...it's the 1st time Ian ever took MRT and he was just awed by the many pple ard him....he was just looking at this auntie who refused to look at him...wonder why hehee...when other pple ard him was checking him out...when he realised auntie din want to look at him and smile...he suddenly burst into tears hehee...wonder is he sad coz auntie din look at him or he is just overwhelmed by the crowd ard him hehee...

Does Ian really look like Seth part 2?? hheee

This week mama heard some more comments on Ian resembling Seth...hhmm so mama chanced upon this pic and took Ian wearing exactly same tee as Seth...but din take a closer shot like Seth's...anyway made Ian dun smile and took a pic....now checking out...the eyes look diff but the face shape looks almost the same...hahaa whatever well they r cousins so there shld be some resemblance esp they r more than mere cousins hehee....for those who say Ian been having a cutesie smile...dun u think he looks real innocent with this look hahaa..as if huh

Day 200 - Ian's very FIRST mid autumn festival and lantern

Wks before the mid autumn festival, popo has gotten a doraemon lantern for Ian....he's fascinated by the light and sharp music (hheee) and all we did was hang on his playpen for him to 'shang' the lantern...he tried by his own means to grab the lantern but could not...hehee so mama got him to hold the lantern and take a shot (before he puts it into his mouth AGAIN!! aarrgghh) Here's a pic of him happily holding his OWN lantern...but later on we went to celebrate the fest with Ah ba, Ah mu, seth gor2 and joy jie2 but mama forgot to bring his lantern...arrgghh gd thing he can't play with lantern yet if not...hahaa he will 'tear' the lantern apart

We had a gd nite of checking out the Tiong Bahru park which is really near our place and there are lots of old playground stuff which we found out...hhmm can check it out more when Ian is bigger and can learn to appreciate play more than now....

Well here is a lamb ride which daddy is helping Ian on....he can't quite play yet but he's happy just sitting on it...well mama hoped u can grow up to learn to be a lamb....as meek as a lamb huh hehe...well here's a pic of Ian enjoying mid autumn fest innocently...coz in future Ian might know what is mooncake and might be requesting for them...or might be requesting more fanciful lantern or fire sparkles like we saw some kids playing at the playground...well just enjoy them when they are so so innocent =)

Day 199 - Ian's 1st try on papaya

On a warm afternoon at Ah mu's place, Ian was offered to share papaya with joy jie2 and so he had his 1st try on papaya. Mama also thot it would be gd for Ian who has not poo-ed for past 1 wk to try some...he did like the juicy papaya but not for long...hhmm afterwhich mama had to finish the papaya coz Ian had enough....well well another try on papaya some other day huh.....

Wk 28 - Ian doing his little gymnastic stunt...

This week, Ian loves to stretch his fingers to reach for his little toes....he will do it lying down and sitting up...well well for many men (and some women as well hehe) sit and reach has always been a tough item to pass during sch days...if only Ian can continue his posture till he reaches NS hhaa then he will sure pass his sit and reach....and this will also train his abdominal muscles needed for sit ups hehee...

Day 193 - Ian is starting to love his rice cereal

After a week of trial on rice cereal for Ian...mama is getting sian of it coz it gets drippy and messy...sigh and worst of all he's not keen and mama has to express milk hahaa...lots of excuses but this week tried rice cereal again and he seemed to love it....look at the pic...he's actually turning to aim for the spoon...well altho it's still drippy but mama will press on coz it's good for Ian hehehe...

Together at his breakfast table is a book from gu2 which he's v trilled by the light on the book and music as well...that is the 'entertainer' for him as daddy and mama have their meals on the dining table....this week he managed to play with the little icons on the book...but hhmm soon it might just 'spoil' coz he loves to turn and turn and turn the icons even before the music comes on...sigh

Day 192 - Ian's 1st try on banana

We have been wanting to let Ian try banana...and we had some super overriped ones...hhmm then did it like puree and fed him...somehow dunno issit coz banana is sweet...he seems to love it and keep wanting more...guess most kids got sweet tooth huh...well well at least this is natural sweet and can keep him occupied on evenings while waiting for daddy to come home...

Meeting up with fellow cousins...

Well last Sunday was a gathering with Ian's fellow cousins....gu2 and gu zhang came and join the family dinner with mooncakes...well took a shot of Ian with Jayla mei2...hhmm guess gu2 and gu zhang aren't aware that the 2 kids had a shot together...but but this Ian can't keep his hands still so here is the shot...that cheeky can't wait and move his hands and say Hello to Jayla mei2....who is of the same age as him...

And after all had dinner, all the cousins gathered for a shot together (of coz with some of the parents whose kids can't stand on their own yet hahaa) well well can't wait for all of them to grow up..but then would be a noisy gathering huh....hheee

Ian attending the 1st church wedding

Today, Ian attended the 1st church wedding in his life....well he did see the bride walk in but soon after he slept on daddy's arms but he woke up to 'entertain' all the aunties and uncles by SMILING at them...this boy really knows how to win pple's hearts...hhmm and before we went off we took a pic with Auntie Maggie and wishing her a blissful and blessed marriage...

Visit to Auntie Serene's place

Although Auntie Serene (or issit Serene Jie2 ehehe) has shifted somewhere near our home some many months ago, we only met up at her place 1 rainy Fri...and Ian loves the red sofa...and had a gd time flipping on the sofa...

And he looks really happy in the pic taking with Auntie Serene...hhmm asking when is the next time I can come to play at your place....and I love the car models as well =)

Wk 27 - Ian is curling his tongue

Ssslluurrrppp....now Ian is learning what he can do with his tongue...so if u see him these days, he loves to curl his tongue and play with it...hhmm guess this boy is learning to experience different parts of his body...

Day 185 - Ian starts on rice cereal

Now that Ian turns 6 months old...he has to start on semi solid as breast milk do not contain all the nutrients needed for his further growth...hence mama started on this Nestle rice cereal for Ian...v sian coz need to express milk in order to mix it in...

Oopsss mama forgot the bib and look at the colorful bib passed on from cousin Joy and Ian looks so happy in the colorful bib...looks only huh hehe

Mama started feeding him with spoon as it is strictly to be fed by spoon....he had a few mouthful but alittle messy coz keeps dripping out from his mouth...sigh all the effort to put nice bib..express milk and make him sit for a nice meal but this boy...sigh

It looks as if I gave him some bitter medicine...hahaa look at the expression on his face..such grouchy look man...well well Ah mu was saying it took 3 weeks before Joy got used to it...and guess just gotta press on...sigh more expressing and more 'forcing' of 'bitter med' into Ian I guess...

By God's Grace...Ian is 6 months old!

It's amazing how Ian has grown for the past 6 months....indeed its by God's grace that he has grown to what he is today. Thanks to all who have been walking alongside with us to see his growing up months and have been encouraging us on with all your blessings (esp Seth gor2 who never fails to bless Ian when we part home...altho making fun of his botak hair also hehe) well here are snippets of Ian's slowly progressing to a cheerie boy today. Its been mama's fear that he would be a grouchy boy (coz of all the work stress during conceiving him) but indeed its awesome to see how cheerful this 6 mth boy is...guess it just melts ur heart to see him smile. (it makes all the staying home worth it!) Alot more moulding is needed in the months to come and hope you all will continue to walk with us as we see how this boy is moulded by His Master!

Baby Ian meets Baby Javier

It seems just not too long ago we attended Baby Javier's FMC and now he is abt 2 months+ old and almost time for his mummy to go back to work...so Mama decided for both babies to meet up....hhmm Ian was fascinated by another baby and was trying to touch baby Javier...well we hope it's touch and not scratch hehe...anyway sure got more chances to meet up some days again...now both the boys are botak...guess they would be botak again some many yrs later...

Ian's learning soccer??

On some evenings when Ian is not sleepy and daddy is watching soccer, daddy would carry Ian to watch soccer with him. Having a daddy who is a soccer fan, would Ian grow up to be one too? And would he be a liverpool fan like his daddy?? hhmm here's a pic of him kicking as he loves to kick his legs when sitted on the sofa...that is also where he watches soccer with his daddy...Ian, long way to playing soccer huh...u gotta work out your leg muscles first =)

Ian's 1st biscuit food in his life...

As Ian is nearing his 6 month mark, he seems more keen in our food...when we eat, he would be observing food into our mouth. So there was a fine Fri when out with Ah Mu, he was really making noise when we had our food, so got a little Pigeon brand biscuit (with seaweed flavour somewhat like wang2 that melts in the mouth) from Joy jie2 and though Ian gave a frown when he was given the food, after the 1st try he actually opened his mouth for a 2nd piece...hmm but continued with the frown on his face (as if mama gave him some sour plum hahaha)

well guess more chances of tasting new food in the weeks to come...but mama lazy to prep them hahaa..well at least Ian would know the 1st biscuit he took in his life..abit tasteless to us adults but sure is a NEW thing to him (both taste and texture...)

Wk 27 - Ian has his 1st try on the walker

These days, it is hard to keep Ian occupied with his usual toys and playpen....he wants to try new things so 1 evening we decided to let him try the walker which he 'inherited' from his older cousins as we also realised he is stretching his legs out straight as if he wanna walk(some commented that he could try ballet...hhmm he is a boy leh)...look at how thrilled the boy is as he 'cruise' ard the living room...and also the sounds the walker is making...hhmm wonder how soon this boy will walk...

Ian's 1st visit to Comex...

Today we brought Ian to the comex at Suntec as we had some 'items' in mind to get...well and Ian was sleeping, wake up to check out the place and sleep again....there were some passerby who saw him cute (as Ian was checking out the place excitedly) and that man just held his hand and say 'So cute!' hhmm...wonder if his hand is clean...dunno whether it pays to be cute haha..anyway we bum into Auntie Denise and Uncle YM while walking back to car park...Ian was zzz but woke him up coz Auntie Denise is an ardent reader of Ian's blog haha..and has been wanting to come visit him...so they saw the sleepy side of him hehee...they were surprised mama and daddy were so on abt carrying Ian to comex...well well to ans that...guess when u have kids...you still have your life hehee...so so want to have 1 more playmate for Ian??? hhehe anyway end up we only got a wireless router for home as Ian is learning to crawl and wires ard the house means more danger...end up still got things coz of IAN....sigh

Day 176 - Ian takes his 3rd pneumo jab

Today, Ian woke up really gd mood...'chirping' away while mama and daddy still snoozing...well he din know what he was in for...hahah his pneumo jab...anyway guess perhaps he knew it was wkend and time with daddy again so woke up real gd mood....but slept while waiting for doc to come...but this little busybody woke up while mama chatting with the doc...and as usual he checked out his surrounding...and caught unaware kenna a jab on his thigh...this time daddy was there 'comforting' him...what a change huh..dunno why doc usually ask mama...so this time mama was taking gd pic of him...just glad it's 1 jab only and he only 'wah' a while and back on his feet again...hhmm next jab gonna be when he's 13 mths when he's gonna take MMR and booster jab for pneumo...by then he would be crawling and rolling...wonder if it's gonna be tougher 'distracting' him...deciding whether to make it 1 trip or 2 to the clinic...well well keep thinking...

Day 175 - Ian sitting on high chair for the 1st time in a restaurant

This week has proven it tough to make Ian sit in his pram quietly while we have our meals outside as he wants an elevated view as well...he does not wanna see table legs and beneath dining table...or perhaps he has been used to seeing us eat on high chair back at home...so mama din wanna carry him on the lap while having lunch so placed him on the high chair for the 1st time at Spaggadies and there he quietly observing pple eating...he was really checking out next table while mama had lunch with ah-mu till the next table pple came say Hi to him at end of the meal...and this boy sure knows how to smile at aunties...and 'cried' when pple walked off...sigh this boy just loves attention huh

Wk 25 - Ian has 'graduated' to sleeping on his own =)

This is a pic of Ian trying to 'crawl' backwards and coz of this, we thot its better to shift him to sleeping on the mattress...it has been an advise by many to let him sleep on his own but mama has been contemplating coz of sheer laziness...coz it means waking up and going 'down' on his mattress to feed him at nite..well for those of u who dun have a baby yet, hhmm it's no joke waking up in middle of nite trying to feed a 'needy' baby and then getting up to sleep back...and its for at least 3 times a nite and its worse for a difficult to get back to sleep mama like me...anyway Ian been infringing mama's 'territory' on the king size bed (as he's always rolling over to mama's side) so it has been a much contemplated decision...anyway with him crawling backwards so it had to be an immediate decision...it just requires daily sweeping to ensure no dust on the floor...well tried for past 5 nites and he's getting more used to it...din quite expect such easy transition...except that once caught him crawling backwards almost under the king size bed...sigh anyway waiting for him to zz thru the nite and Ian can graduate to zz in his own room....then he can crawl all he likes hahaha

Wk 25 - Ian is moving....BACKWARDS

One of the evenings while waiting for daddy to be home, Ian was playing in his playpen as usual then mama heard him making moany sounds then after checking him out then realised he has moved from one end of the playpen to another end...as the 'changing mat' that comes with the playpen has perhaps hit his head, he made those sounds...then mama realised that he has 'moved' and after observing...looks like crawling as he's lifting himself up with his arms and pushing himself backwards...sigh is this sign of crawling?? Getting busy already....
