Does Ian resemble more of daddy or mama??

hhmm this is a common question pple ask when they see Ian....and so far, alot of pple say Ian resembles daddy more...hhmm so mama decided to take both daddy and mama's younger pic and do a comparison....jiu2 suggested doing a poll hahaa...well guess u all can guess which pic below belongs to who huh....

So what do u all say?? Well daddy's yi yi-s say Ian resembles daddy more...even the salesgirl says so when we are out shopping....po2 says Ian's losing mama's looks....well lately Ah mu says ah ba rem daddy's looks and says Ian resemble mama more...so what is ur vote?? hahhaa well for 1 thing...Ian has got daddy's 'poser' genes hahahaa

Day 233 - Ian attends the 1st bday party and had his 1st balloon

Today, Ian attends Junette Jie2's bday party and he was overwhelmed by the many colourful balloons in the function room. Thanks to gu2 who also had a Mickey balloon and party set for him....here's a pic of Ian with his 1st balloon and mickey 'band' hahaa....doesn't he look cute and innocent...guess with all the many fanciful things at the bday party, its no wonder every kid loves bday party...

Here's the really pretty bday cake for Junette and with request from Ah Mu...managed to capture a shot of it...it looks like a pretty gift cake huh...and its actually made of 2 layers...upper layer with orange lychee which is suitable for the kids while the lower layer is for adults as it has some liquor taste...hhmm interesting huh...most imptly, Happy bday to Junette and will post the pic taken once its updated on the blog

Wk 33 - Ian was not taken care by Mama for 1 whole day

Well for the past 7 mths Ian has never left out of mama's sight for more than 3 hrs (as that is his feeding time span) so 1 fine day coz mama had some training to attend, Ian was out of mama's care for 1 entire day....well dunno if this boy really misses mama but mama sure misses his fussiness and smiles too....well it is a gd time for him to slim down as well coz whatever milk that was expressed for him, he din even finish 1/2 of the amount....and he could still survive hahaa and the amt he consumed was lesser than what newborns are taking...whether is he storing up milk for the past days to survive on such days when he had no choice but to drink from bottle...anyway here's a nice pic of him smiling to mama as we had a 1/2 day break as daddy took lve to take care of him in the am...guess he can't quite express his feelings abt missing mama's presence....hhmm

Wk 33 - Ian sits in his playpen

Ian has been able to sit more steadily on his own and now he can be placed in his playpen to play with his toys...here's a pic of him playing with his stacko toys again....hhmm 1 observation mama realised is Ian took the color ring that is similar to his dressing...wonder if it's coincidence but 1st realised it when he was wearing green...coz mama has started showing him the clothes he is wearing everyday (as he does not like the clothes to be put over his head so thot that by showing the clothes to him, he would be more assured what is going thru his head hehee)

Little busybody checking out for mama??

These days Ian can't be left alone most of the time...he would be constantly checking out for us...here's a pic of him checking out if mama is still there even when he's busy with his new toy...if no one is in sight, he will burst into loud cry and tears....the kind of cry can make anyone who is looking after him to rush out from whatever duties to check him out...only to see a smile on his face after realising that we have not DISAPPEARED!!!

Ian has always been seen as an easy going and anyone-can-carry baby....so we never knew it would cry for mama sometimes when carried by others...last Sun was 1 of the times Ian cried for mama at the 1st sight of mama even when carried by Ah-Gong...well Ah Mu says this is separation anxiety...hhmm guess mama has never quite 'disappeared' from his sight for too long yet...wonder what would happen....

Day 223 - Ian is able to sit on his own...for a while

When placed Ian on the sofa, he would try all means to make himself sit upright on his own and sometimes he can sometimes he will topple...but now he's getting better...he can hold his leg or support himself on the sofa and sit on his own for a few seconds...just can't wait for him to sit on his own and be busy with his toys

Day 221 - Ian starts to practise blowing his 1 yr old candle

This week we see Ian starting to blow bubbles and can have his saliva all over his mouth...sigh it can be more messy when he tries to play a fool when mama feed him the rice cereal....guess he's just exploring this new act or perhaps he's rehearsing to blow his 1 yr old candle...well abit too early rite...hhmm but at the way he is blowing...no one wanna eat his bday cake coz it would be splattered with lots of his own 'bubbles' of saliva eee.....

Wk 31 - Ian can pass things from one hand to another hand

Oppss...this pic is not to suggest that we have run out of toys for Ian to play and end up letting him play with the gold card....just that mama was busy calling regarding the cc and let Ian toy with it so as not to make so much noise...but thanks to Ah Mu who reminded me that Ian was able to pass things from 1 hand to another coz this is another milestone for Ian...well he has been able to hold things quite firmly with both hands now....such that he would yell loudly if ever someone tries to take away things from him...well well babies can be possessive as well huh....

Day 219 - Ian starts on formula for his last feed

Now that Ian has passed the 6 mth mark, we have started Ian on formula for his last feed...thanks to all the free sample, we have got a few tins to let Ian start slowly...coz this boy can't quite suck really well yet so we started slow with 60ml and sometimes mixing with breast milk....hhmm some nites he just drink abit and start biting the teat while other nites he can finish whatever is given to him....well well gd that he can start on formula as it means mama can now lve him with someone like daddy =) while mama goes to do some 'serious' work hahaha anyway really hope the formula will make Ian fuller and wake less often during the nite hhmm

Ian at Baby Manfred's Shower Party

Here's the pic of both babies crying at Manfred's shower party....guess both of the babies have been overwhelmed with the many pple...here's wishing Manfred growing as a healthy baby in the embrace of everyone's love. Well it sure makes mama recall 6 mths ago when Ian turned 1 mth old...time really flies and it has been an enriching process to see how Ian grows to what he is today....so Auntie SC and Uncle Marcus...press on in this parenthood journey...sure there will be some trying moments but the joy of Manfred will just make everything so worthwhile!

Ian meets Auntie Denise and Uncle YM again...

One of the couples who love playing with Ian is Auntie Denise and Uncle YM...guess these few weeks we have been meeting up more often...today we met again at Baby Manfred's FMC...will get the pic soon but had a nice shot with the other couple...guess Ian loves playing with Uncle YM's finger (esp the thumb as captured in the pic) well well today Ian is just too tired from the trip to 'entertain' u...hope the next time we meet he's in better mood hehee...hhmm isn't it looks more complete with a baby in the pic hahaa...can consider lah =)

Ian turns 7 months old

Ian turns 7 months old during his 1st hols to Msia (hhmm what a pamper huh...can travel at such a young age) and during the trip, we tried to give him the jar food...hhmm din quite work out coz he din quite seem to like it...thot that can 'entertain' and whet his appetite while the rest of us feast...guess he din quite like what was apportioned to him....guess what he loves??

Aiyo....whenever he saw the food going into our mouths he would be staring at the food...even when he's holding on to his Pooh teether...he would not fail to stare at other edible food that is before him...hhmm well well wonder when Ian will know how Piglet really tastes like hehe unhealthy for u huh

Ian's 1st HOLIDAY....

Altho it's the 2nd time Ian has been out of the country, this is his 1st hols (as the 1st trip to Msia was for church camp) and this 1 week hols, we brought him to KL, Damai Laut, Sitiawan (Ah Maa and Ah gong's hometown) and Melaka. Guess this is kindof the 1st time we had Ian sleep on the car journey and din take any nap on bed till nite time...guess he really misses his bed whenever the sky turns dark....we tease him as if he knows what it means for the muslims to break fast..coz he would be making noise ard that same time too

It was a gd getaway esp for Ian who can play with daddy whole day long and have Joy and seth as companions too.....well we had shopping spree at KL first (well alot of buyings were for Ian..sigh wonder who's shopping) and had nice sightseeing at damai luat and meeting up with 2 yi-maas at Sitiawan and the adults had lots of foochow cuisine.

Then we made our way to Melaka...actually Ian has been there while mama was conceiving him...guess it's kindof different with a tummy and now with a baby in hands....guess with Ian in the tummy...we still could shop and eat alot more hehee...just cant wait for Ian to grow up and can walk and run down the jonker street while we shop....well well we had lots of gd food at Melaka...guess the pics can just make us salivate and wanna go back again...

Ian joins an all ladies' lunch gathering

Welcome back Auntie HJ....so mama brought Ian along to the lunch gathering at M Square and well the aunties had a gd time playing with him...esp Auntie Carol coz just love to carry him and even tried to pat him to zzzz....Auntie carol would make a gd lunch companion coz she can assist to carry Ian while mama have her lunch hehee....anyway Auntie HJ, enjoy ur stay back home and hope to meet u again....hhmm if only we can go SH with u hehee....

Wk 29 - is Ian teething soon??

If u ever see Ian these days...beware, he 'BITES'! hehee...well guess some aunties and uncles have been victims already...well wondering if he's teething soon which explains his itching gums and need to bite in order to soothe himself...so mama has been the frequent victim...decided to give him more time to teether...but he dun look like can hold it long....and soon start chewing own fingers so guess he still prefers 'flesh' hahaha

Is Ian crawling soon??

After weeks of moving backwards, Ian has showed signs of him crawling forward...now he is on his fours and seem like wanna cruise ard but still making himself move backwards...wonder when is the day he will move forward coz means more headache coz need to jaga him ard liao...hhmm now he's always on his fours and already perspiring alot..dun u think he looks like he's doing push up?? hehee but lady's style

Ian playing with his 'doughnuts'...

Ian's usual playtime is in the playpen...but since he has been crawling backwards, he won't stay in playpen for more then half hr...this evening, mama put him there to wait for daddy and soon heard him playing lots of noise with his stacko rings....and heard him mumbling...taking a peek saw him holding the 'doughnut' ring and 'munching' away and mumbling...so took a shot of him 'munching' the doughnut...think it's his itching gums again....

Then next after a long while heard him screaming for 'help', taking a peek again...wonder how he got himself entangled with the 2 'doughnut' rings again hahaa...1 thru his arm and the other thru his feet...how come he could get them into him limbs but he can't get them wat...sigh he was calling for help to remove those rings coz he couldn't 'shake' them off hahaa...only make mama busy...but on the hindsight, dun u think he chose matching colors rings to wat he was wearing =)
