My BEST 'friend' Kenneth....

The fav person who loves to look for Ian on Sundays is uncle...opppsss kenneth....he loves to vibrate Ian...well sometimes Ian seems ok while other times...here's a shot Ian playing with his 'friend' and he seems ok with his 'friend'...Ian, remember this is the uncle who captured all the candid shots of u (yah some shots are really candid while others and imposed by Uncle Kenneth)...continue to be 'thrilled' by this friend =) look at his ssmmmilllleee....

A gd wkend to share with fellow cousins...

For the past month, mama has not been sharing lunch with ah mu for a long long time and we have not been meeting for Fri dinner for even a longer time...so on such gd opp evening, we could go share an evening together we went to botanical gardens to feed the fishes...well when we were there, mama just recalled those days when Ian was really small and when we tag along to feed fish...we even have to bring along a bottle of expressed milk in case the new baby gets hungry...and now he has grown so much and now even able to observe the fishes swimming to eat the bread...and can join in the fun with seth gor2 feeding the fishes...

And on a sunny sat morning, we went out for breakfast together and it was truly a gd time for Ian who has been cooping at home for some gd days....except that now he wants to eat as well together with the adults...so we had to bring along bananas to feed him and sometimes giving him some table food like bread too....

Wk 37 - Ian is keeping more awake than ever....

This week, we see Ian getting awake for more hrs....he can take an hr nap or so and it can last him for 3 or 4 or sometimes even 5 hrs awake...he used to nap every 2 hrs awake...so dunno whether it's for gd or not...coz it means mama getting more busy with him in the day as he doesn't want to nap and want to be 'entertained' hhmmm...trying to dig out more toys for him as he can be real bored with the usual ones...and when bored, he would attempt to 'climb' on mama...well we also realised giving him a pc of fruit can keep him real busy for some gd time...but also real messy sigh....just hope for more time out of house so he can be busy seeing things go by and dun need so much of mama's presence....

Wk 35 - Ian trying to stand...

For the past weeks, Ian has showed signs of wanting to stand...when put him down to sit, he would straighten his legs and want to sit on his high chair instead...so this week, we tried to put Ian standing on the sofa and indeed he could support himself with the sofa cushion and he seems to enjoy the feeling of standing...hhmm wonder how soon he would stand on his own...then guess we would be busy busy...watching where he goes...hhmm and pulls I suppose...

Wk 35 - Ian has his first try on porridge...but he dun seem to like it...

After beancurd, popo also cooked porridge for Ian's dinner and dinnertime came...mama thot he would love it but after a mouth he refused to take any more...wondering issit coz there are too many ingredients in the porridge (cod fish and carrot) that's why he's confused...anyway daddy finished his portion and mama would try to cook porridge again another day

Mama remembered Ian has some more food jar yet untouched so took them out to feed him coz it's pretty tough to make him keep quiet while daddy and mama eat dinner in peace...so started feeding him the pumpkin and sweetcorn jar food and he loved it...hhmm we wonder if it really tasted so gd coz he kept asking for more and within 2 days he finished the whole jar...hhmm got 1 more creamy banana porridge jar food ready to try next week =) sounds delicious huh but to us adults, it smells real soury eee...maybe this whets Ian's appetite hahaa

Day 248 - Ian 1st tasted beancurd...

On a usual Wed that popo drops by, she brought along beancurd (dou hua) for Ian to try...being an easy eater, he loves it when given this new food and finished the portion that was taken out for him, of course without the sugar syrup...he seems a pretty food lover...

Hey, Ian is eyeing on food...

Ian's getting more and more interested in adult food....lately, he will stare real hard when we eat in front of him so there was this evening when daddy and mama were sharing fruit, this boy started groaning when we both were taking our fruit....and there he was trying to get our attention that he wants some too....so after much thot, mama gave him a piece of apple...IMMEDIATELY he stopped his moans and started sucking his given apple intensely...nothing could distract him from his apple...here's a shot captured of his intense look hahaa....ok ok mama will start on more solid food...

Wk 34 - Help....Ian's getting constipated...

This week, we see a constipated Ian...he has not pooed for some 10 days...well according to some breastfeeding guideline, babies shld not not poo for more than 10 days...so some weeks back, he did not poo for 10 days and we were abt to bring him to see PD but well, after making appt to see PD, he pooed the nite before going to see doc...so saved some $$ for daddy....but this week, he cries each time he poos coz can see it caused alot of pain to him....aiyo we panicked and tried to make him gulp more water...to get more fluid but this boy just love biting the teat rather than drinking...so got advice from ah mu to get this apple and prune juice (for babies) so daddy and mama scouted for this 'juice' for Ian on the deepavali PH....hhmm we got ourselves a nice spot at the Sushi Tei and daddy started feeding Ian...hhmm but he gave this look....

Ian has been pretty easy eater (as in anything u give him, he sure won't mind) but for the 1st time, he actually shook his head when given the juice and gave a real sour look...hhmm we thot it was really sour and we actually tried it...din taste too sour to us...tried to feed him more...altho he shook head, he still drank some (hhmm scared of sour and still game to try) so we tried giving more...but ended up staining the clothes as he could not drink too well from spoon...sigh hope his constipation goes off real soon coz solid food is coming his way....

Ian's 8 mths changing 'look'...

Daddy and mama borrowed an interesting animal book from library and while reading to Ian, he seems wanting to hold the book and soon he held it to his face hahaa...so mama decided to capture a shot of every animal for his 8 mth old blog....hhmm which animal does Ian looks best in?? hehee

Ian attends Uncle Daniel's ROM....

On this special Sat, Ian attended Uncle Daniel's ROM solemnisation with the extended family and he looked super radiant with his hawaii outfit hahaa....too bright as mama would say...while the adults do the catching up, Ian would be busy munching away either his Pooh teether, baby's biscuit or even the bao from the char siew bao hahaha while mama has the char siew....anyway just a thot...for a baby who is barely 8 mths old, he has attended umpteen wedding lunches, church weddings, baby showers, bday party and now even ROM solemnisation...this must be quite a record yr for him...well just yet to try wedding dinner hahaa guess that would be a challenge for him as it would be past his usual sleeping time...

3 little 'surprises' that Ian has given so far....

Well 1 of the delightful thing abt being stay home mum is being able to experience and see 1st hand what little Ian is learning and doing.....so one different occasions mama was checking him out and gotten little 'surprises' with the things he has done...dunno whether is it coincidence but mama just took shots of them and decided to capture these thots down...1st was there is a nail clipper on the bed (can u see this orange string tagged to the nail clipper in the pic?) Ian would try all his might to reach for it...when he can't....he decided to pull the quilt cover so that the nail clipper would move closer to him hhmm just amazing that he knows this little 'trick;

As now Ian doesn't like clothes to be put over his head (well he would try to get the clothes out) so mama started showing his the color of clothes he's wearing and even telling him the pic on it...well and there were several occasions mama saw Ian taking the same color ring that matches his clothes...hhmm this sure seems mere coincidence but there were several occasions with this happening so it amazes mama

In the recent week, Ian has started playing on his own in the playpen and pretty entertained by his stacko rings and there was this time he got bored and was calling for mama then this was the sight mama saw at the playpen....it just looked so neat with all the rings tucked to the corner of the playpen hahaa...anyway, guess we all wish our kids be the one who says 'wu ji hua' when given a flower but it's more of mama's wish for Ian to grow to be a wise boy...wisdom not from the worldly view but from a spiritual view hehee....well well ah mu was saying the dollar fish oil pill each day really works wonder huh...how true! Just interesting to watch Ian grow....

Day 237 - Ian is starting to CRAWL forward

At wk 33, Ian is finally showing signs of crawling forward....mama would often watch him play on his own on the bed while on computer and lo and behold this day came whereby Ian was moving little steps forward on the bed....

It's pretty interesting to see how Ian started straightening his legs and then take little step forward...the funny thing is mama realised he loves to talk while he crawls haha...pretty talkative huh....maybe he's just glad he would explore things at a different angle and self-talking to say what he seen hhmm....baby talk we can't quite understand but guess it would be busy time for mama once Ian has perfected his crawling and start cruising round the house arrgghhh
Well well here's a 'naughty' shot taken hhaaa....of this little Ian trying to crawl on sofa even as mama and daddy tries to load him with his own toys....hahaa learning to balance leh....in order to get gd and straight posture we suppose hahaa...

Ian doing sit and REACH....

Now that Ian is past 7 mths...we see that he can sit really well on his own....glad he has reached this stage coz means we can put him on chair on his own whether at home or outside...just that this boy started reaching for things....look at how he can bend his back to get the thing that is within his sight but sometimes not within his reach...and he would try all that he can....well Ian, remember there is this stage that you can do sit and reach really well hahaa coz like most guys, u prob will fail sit and reach later on in life coz of stiff back...hahaa or shld we try to practice to do split with you like mama has always told ah mu to do to seth hehee
