Ian goes for Post Christmas sale shopping =)

News have been showing of countries like US and UK with lots of pple going for post Christmas sale and so mama and daddy won't miss all these too hehee and here are some shots of Ian shopping with us...
The 1st pic was taken while shopping for ah mu and ah ba's bed for their new home...the 3 kids enjoyed playing on the bed so much till Seth started asking to take pic of 3 of them together...and it was hard to get all 3 to look at pic...see how Seth is being squashed between the 2 other younger kids hehee...well well dunno who's enjoying the shopping huh

And on another day..we were out shopping at Raffles City...qiong for some gd sale and then Ah Mu realised Ian was dozing in his pram hhahaa...wonder who is the more avid shopper huh..this boy dun wanna close eyes to see the sale...and finally no choice gotta succumb to the tiredness of his eyes and took a nap hahaha pretty interesting post Christmas sale huh =)

Ian's very first Christmas Presents....

For a kid we would think Ian has received alot of gifts from family and friends...well thanks for all your gesture of blessing on this little boy...hhmm coz he's too young so we captured pics of the gifts so that he learns to be appreciative and thankful for whatever gifts he has...hhm but the pic depends on his temperament so if he's not smiling at the pic he's taken..it does not mean he's not happy with the gift..rather he's curious what is in the gift...so here's the gifts he has received this yr =) thanks again...

Ian's 1st Christmas Party with the family

Well it was super heart warming having all of family members over at our residence for Christmas dinner...we all chipped in bringing our share for the dinner...Ah Gong gotten the turkey and Ah Mu and Ah Ba gotten the roasted beef from botak jones...daddy made the chicken wings and fruit smoothie....PoPo cooked her home made fried bee hoon...dayi made her super garden salad and chocolate fondue...Jiujiu and Auntie Lorraine gotten mudpie...it was a sumptuous dinner for everyone..well Ian had his share of sweet potato...can't wait for him to join us in the food..but well he had his share in the presents galore...everyone went home with lots of gifts and warm...it was nice giving someone else in the family something he/she has wanted and it was truly sharing warmth in this Christmas...well but truly Christmas isn't Christmas till it happens in your heart...guess we are glad to share this common Joy and Hope in this Christian family and wanna spread to all...

Ian's Christmas Eve Party...

This being Ian's very 1st Christmas brought alot of excitement..guess he's still too small to understand the meaning of Christmas...we had a gd meet up with mama's friends and we had a small Christmas eve gathering...there was log cakes, lots of fun for Ian and even a little gift from Uncle YM and Auntie Denise...but it was that evening we then realised Ian has progressed into a stage of stranger anxiety..guess he has not meet the uncles and aunties for some gd time...so he was a little tensed and was super sticky to mama...well he was pretty eager to play with Baby Manfred but gotta wait a while longer we guess before both the boys can really 'play' together....hope the next time Ian meets the uncles and aunties he won't be so tensed...hhmm wonder how long this stage will take...

Day 288 - Ian's little tooth is sprouting out...

For the past nites, mama sees a very easily irritable Ian in his sleep and mama thot it was due to his constipation and well after checking, we then realised his little tooth is sprouting out..though pic is not v clear but can see a little white spot there...coz the pic was taken when Ian was wailing...coz he won't let anyone see his gums unless he's crying....so guess Ian can sing the song...all I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth...wonder how long it would take for them to grow and certainly hope he has less irritable nites coz it means sleepless nites for mama too...

Wk 40 - Ian is trying to stand with support

This week, we see more of Ian trying to stand on his own...except that he always like to use mama as support and stand...it's ok if mama is sitting on the ground...sometimes when mama is asleep he would grap on whatever ribs of mama and stand and oouccchh it can be painful...well after mama shoo, he would then go on to mmmaaaammaa...so no choice since he gives such innocent calling...well some pple say he's gonna walk soon but wonder when...till then we can then know better what size shoes to get for him...

Day 286 - Ian's visit to the bird park

At the recent Haji PH...daddy brought Ian together with ah mu, joy and seth to the Jurong Bird Park...altho it was not the best of the weather, we all enjoyed ourselves with the bird shows and watching the birds...hhmm wish Ian could run ard and enjoy the nature but well he was gd...he was in his pram quietly and then realised he had fallen asleep..guess he did the same when we went to the zoo...but well he did enjoy some part of the bird park and we are sure to be back again since daddy could get his corporate pass...well what can we say...we just love PUBLIC HOLIDAYS coz we can be out with daddy...well well there are 2 more coming along the way and wish there could be more =)

Week 40 - Ian starts to say 'Mama'

Daddy has been subscribing to the online baby center website which sends email on what to expect during the week's devt and mama was reading this week's and interestingly, it mentioned that Ian shld start to mimic whatever we do so so...mama started this 'experiment' to teach him say Mama and true enough, after 10 mins or less, he starts picking it up hahaa...this is pretty interesting except that the email also 'warned' us of the baby mimicking us of how we handle each situation so we gotta start watching how we want Ian to grow up to be...definitely not a short tempered and impatient person...ooppsss...so we gotta change ourselves 1st...hhmm so raising a kid comes with a 'cost'..well well look at the happy smile of Ian...it just makes us wonder how happy a kid can be...and we definitely hope we can give all the JOY to this little one so we gotta watch ourselves...

Ian's NEATEST look....

Well now that Ian's hair has grown somewhat longer (altho still a little patchy), mama has been 'combing' his hair every morning and here's the neatest look and mama finds it cute so captured a shot...hhmm with the parting, somehow he looks more like daddy...dun u think so hahaa..but with the water evaporating, the hair will start 'standing' again aarrggh...can't wait for his hair to grow longer so mama can do some 'styling' hehee guess that's how bored mama can get =)

Day 284 - Ian starts taking egg yolk

It has been said that egg yolk helps to build a kid's brain so mama started giving Ian an egg yolk...and po2 even went to buy black chicken's egg which cost almost 3 times more than normal egg...hhmm wonder if it makes them stronger but mama is sure it makes Ian fuller =) coz thereafter he din quite ask for milk =) so more egg yolks for Ian...

Ian's 1st visit to Spore Botanical Gardens Jacob Ballas Children's Park

On a seemingly boring Sat when daddy had to work, mama and Ian were glad ah mu and ah ba could bring us out together with Seth and Joy to the botanical gardens' children's park...altho Ian been to botanical gardens pretty many times, this is his 1st time checking out the children's park and he was thrilled to see so many kids with watering cans and running ard the wet place....but when given a chance to touch the fountain, he seemed abit tense..well well mama can't wait for Ian to go down and run on his own....we did see a boy with just a diaper running ard enjoying the water...guess Ian has to wait abit more till he can really enjoy the park huh...and water the plants maybe...so we will be back...

Here's a pic taken with an excited seth gor2 with his wet suit and watering can..except that both boys are so so distracted...can't wait for Ian to join Seth in for the fun...

Wk 39 - Ian can clasp his fingers

Well mama was trying hard to capture a shot of Ian in his chicken little suit and happened to capture this shot and realised that Ian can clasp his fingers already...dunno whether he has done it many times but this is the 1st time a shot was capturing his clasped fingers really well...hhmm guess if mama were to ask him to do it perhaps it won't be as nice as this candid shot as either the camera or Ian won't be cooperative...which I would think is the latter...well well which means Ian can start praying soon already hhehee

A new 'throne seat' for Ian...

Now that Ian is super 'climby' on us...we hardly can watch tv and enjoy the evening without him coming to climb on us (as he does not like playing alone on the mat) anyway the daddy 'invented' a new seat for him hahaa...and doesn't he look happy as well...he's clamped up between the sofa and that way he is happy and mama and daddy are free from his 'attacks' hahaa...guess he won't be happy with the 'throne seat' for long...

Day 274 - Ian's 1st try on the supermarket trolley

Now that Ian does not like to be of different level as us...we have 'promoted' him to sit on the trolley...it's also to free our arms from carrying a 'climby' boy...so here's a pic of him checking out the trolley...well for a min he was busy checking out the trolley bar...the next his arms are busy touching stuff hhmm busy busy grocery shopping huh...guess wait till he can ask for stuff then more headache huh...

Ian is 3/4 yr old

Time really flies...Ian is now 9 mths old and he has really grown from a newborn cry baby to an active baby today....just looking at how he plays his toys and sometimes self-play, it just makes us amazed at how he is growing....above is the slideshow with all the toys Ian has been 'busy' with but guess what....he can get real bored with the many toys he has...start to dig out more toys for this active boy already...wonder if ever they know what it means to be contented...hhmm

Ian playing on his new playing mat

Thanks to Ah Ba and Ah Mu with their early christmas gift of the playing mat as Ian gets more and more accustomed to playing on his own on the mat...initially he was abit apprehensive of playing on the colourful mat but he's getting more used to it...see the 1st pic, he was trying to scratch off the mickey and goofy on the mat as he thot was part of his toys...guess he's expriencing more play on this real soft and comfy mat....

Mummy, where are you???

This week, we often see Ian kneeling by the bed...no no, its not to pray...its to check if mama is there...sigh if not he would be yelling to call for mama...whenever pple ask if Ian is more sticky to mama, we would say no...but this wk proven otherwise..there were some occasions he insisted for mama..sigh even when mama is abit unwell he still wants mama to pat him to sleep...sigh never knew this preference would come up...
Anyway, upon seeing mama, he would happily crawl to look for mama...see the grin on his face...as if mama got any surprise for him huh

But the big obstacle is for him to crawl on the hard ground....look as his face as he tread on the hard ground....he's so comfy crawling on the mattress and bed and when it comes to floor, he would be sulky and wanting to be carried..sigh Ian, its part of crawling to get all the pain on ur knees and hands...

Ian's getting very 'climby'

This past week, we see a very 'climby' Ian...if there is such a word, be it on the sofa or bed, when he's on his fours, he would look for mama or daddy and start climbing onto us by supporting himself on his knees....he would find a thrill in overlooking what is on the other side and continue moving on our body parts but but...he can pinch us real hard and guess if ever any bruises are found on us, he could be the culprit...sigh some 'marks' of parenthood we suppose hheee

Ian got his doughnut balloon...

Since Ian's birth, its been amazing how strangers would walk up to us and talk abt Ian...aunties saying he's cute and uncles trying to play with him and so far, we have gotten 2 men who say Ian reminds them of their boys....as their kids are abt Ian's age so it's no wonder Ian attracted their attention and so at the Mac which we went, this mgr came up with the doughnut balloon specially for Ian...we never knew Mac gives doughnut balloons....hhmm anyway this boy sure knows how to hold his balloon...somewhat like a scroll huh...hehhee...well well end up he was more keen biting the straw then enjoying the balloon...
