Thanks Uncle Kenneth for your prezzie....

Yeah finally collected the present from Uncle Kenneth.....guess we just missed meeting up for the Christmas on several occasions...today met Uncle Kenneth in the church car park and that was the 1st thing we rem abt Ian's present.

Its a doc set....something mama has wanted to get for Ian but din have a chance...well its mama's wish for him to be a doc...hehee so see if this prezzie can be some kind of stimuli for Ian?? hahaa no lah, most docs seem to aloof so better not...oooppsss anw here's a try to be Dr Iong hehee
THANKS to Uncle Kenneth who never fails to get a present for Ian and hope he will get more pally with you soon =)

Ian went for wedding lunch with daddy only

So far, we have been attending wedding lunches and dinners as a family except for those that only invited daddy or mama...for past few mths, daddy has been having wedding dinner on Sat nite so mama had to settle Ian back home after dinner at po2's place. However, today mama for some reason had to 'work' so daddy decided to make a bold decision to bring along for the wedding lunch.

Ian took an hr nap after church...woke up at the instant the march in of the wedding couple...how timely coz it means daddy has yet to enjoy the lunch (while Ian naps) it was a buffet style lunch at Rasa Sentosa....daddy could not quite lve the table to get food...so gd thing his boss was nice to take food for daddy....and Ian could take the bread

Guess its an experience to handle Ian alone for the lunch and daddy said too busy to capture a shot and so no pic....hhmm let's see if there would more of such experience again hehee

Ian's 1st bike ride

Daddy has always wanted to bring Ian on a bike ride...guess wish fulfilled on a sunny Sat morning at East Coast Park...Ian fussed abit when putting on the safety belt but when daddy returned after riding him ard, he was plesantly sitting there...guess he enjoyed the breezy scenic ride and when they returned again, Ian was actually dozing off...guess the journey must have been so smooth that he fell asleep...
Check him out on the small bike....well guess he could cycle on his own huh....was a nice morning out with ah mu's family...guess the next time we could try double bike and ferrying Ian then the whole fam could be having fun together....let's hope for more sunny days ahead

Then we proceeded to T3 for lunch....din know there was a little indoor playground for kids and daddy brought Ian there for some fun (the playground is behind) and Ian enjoyed the fountain on the right

Din know Disney was the theme for the airport now so managed to capture some shots with the infamous characters....now Ian could say Mickey coz he has mats with Mickey and everyday he's pointing to mama and say Mickey...ya wish we could go Disneyland some day huh....in the meantime its just some shots with the characters which is gd enough for the kids
Was a long day out coz the kids napped on the go, guess we are seasoned 'traveller' to have the kids nap in the car hahaa....was a tiring day but fun in a way coz we could spend more time out and the ladies could shop at Expo opppss....

The day daddy had leave to clear

For all these yrs never quite heard of daddy having lve to clear....but he had 1/2 day this yr to clear...despite all the busy helping pple's wedding, taking lve when mama was down or even taking hols with us...guess we din take long hols so he had some lve left tho not v much...but mama was most glad coz it meant more time spent with us

Mama and daddy enjoyed a nice yummy lunch at Dan Ryans (coz Ian was snoozing in the pram) so we could enjoy the lunch together and catching up hehee coz it was 1 of mama's fav place when mama was working and had some bday lunches there...so Ian skipped his lunch and brought him to telok blangah mkt for our fav fishball noodle
Thereaft we proceeded for a nice swim at SAFRA and Ian's most excited with his watering can...took quite some time to ask him to go and bathe tho
We weren't hungry yet so decided to go for a walk at Labrador park....mama and daddy used to go there when dating days and last brought Ian there when he was really young (think was 3 mths old) how time flies....now he could enjoy the walk along the sea and checking out birds and dogs that are around
Then we visited the playground there....din know there was 1 there till we walked on...guess when we din have kid, we din quite bother to check all these out...so here we are....Ian was happily walking ard the sandy place....guess he walked the most this day....checking out the playland but din quite find something suitable for him as it was meant for much older kids coz there were ard a dozen of expat kids there playing

And he finally found a slide to play and he went for a few rounds...guess every slide is diff to him huh....just that this looked real steep but he balanced really well down his whee slide....
Then we headed to Pasir Panjang hawker for dinner...it was known for their fried kway teow that came with a heap of vege....was super yummy dunno coz mama was hungry or what hehe...guess it was a well spent 1/2 day together with daddy on an unusual Fri...hhhm just wish every day could be like that hehee means daddy gotta save more lve huh

Happy Boxing day!

As the past yr, this yr mama also captured the shots of all the presents Ian received (except 1 more which Uncle Kenneth has been wanting to pass to us...will add on to the post real soon!) and this yr Ian has learnt to receive presents except yet to express his thanks....so we will most prob see him do it next yr....so thanks to all Uncles and Aunties for your kind gesture of gifts...Ian will rem them...in case mama got bad memory so managed to capture all the gifts with Ian in the pic...some expressions might not be his usual CHEESY but he still thank you all from his heart...thanks for showering your love on this little boy....praying he will learn to appreciate the gifts and more impt the GIVER as well

So another THANKS to all of you to make this Christmas such a wonderful one for the little Ian and also our family =) Happy boxing day...rem its not the number of gifts you received but the thot of the giver

Ian's Christmas Eve and Christmas Day parties...

Well as the past yrs, we spent Christmas eve with mama's ex-colleagues and this yr was a little diff coz the 2 boys were busily walking ard the hse (as compared to last yr when both were still little babies) and this yr they both were happily receiving gifts...and Ian was alittle wary of the new env until he went into Manfred didi's little 'school tent' and both boys started playing happily...will get more pics from Auntie SC

This yr, Ian also started enjoying the table food and of course he was most thrilled to hear there was a cake...he started humming his usual birthday song (perhaps he doesn't know what Christmas song to hum hehee) and was dishing out his plate to ask for a piece of cake from auntie SC....sigh and this boy asked for a corner piece which came with extra chocolate coz he saw stars and asked for no exchange....hhmm well no chocolate for him but cake will do...mama was most pai seh when he asked for the other corner with stars to bring home =( kids do make parents pai seh huh....and this yr, Ian got more gifts from the aunties and uncles...hhmm what a fortunate boy compared to kids of the less fortunate

Well also this yr we see Ian's being more able to 'stretch' his zzz time...we went home past 11 and he was still in high spirits....hhmm he knocked out v soon on bed...guess he had a tiring day coz din have his usual super long nap...will catch up again some day

On Christmas morn, this boy woke up early despite late nite...as if he knows what is PH huh...he was most thrilled to see daddy at home coz it means we could go out...we had a nice breakfast at Mac and captured this shot with the Christmas tree hehee

Then noon we headed towards jiu2's new place...haven't been there since they got married coz they been busy and went honeymooning so we made the gathering at their place...mama brought along Christmas hat for the kids to play and take pic...here's a sleepy look of Ian...guess he shld be tired coz not enough nap again....anw its play time

This boy was busy playing with jiu-mu's toys and so mama din give him the cake (coz he ate too much yest hehe) and he started asking from dayi and ah mu...here's a shot of the contented boy who finally got his request for the bit of cake from ah mu....

We had the gift exchange and were looking at jiu2's wedding pics and also jiu-mu's younger pics....we all enjoyed the time spending Christmas together, the FOOD and of course also the cosy-ness of the house..sure will drop by more frequent when they are more settled in =)
There was a display of the precious moments figurine of the Nativity....and some ponder of the birth of Christ and jiu mu was sharing of how the kids ought to be taught of the gifts...that they shld look fwd to Christmas for the gifts as we look fwd for the gift of Christ among us....guess will start teaching Ian once he understands better so it means no gift or toy on any normal day and Christmas shld be the highlight for the whole yr just as we enjoy the birth of Christ on this special day....
Merry Christmas to all and may yours be a Christ-filled one....peace and joy to all!

The day mama joined Ian in the playground

Yes, mama really joined Ian in the playground hahaa...deprived childhood yah....last Sun, we were early for dinner at ah maa's home so decided to bring Ian to the playground just down ah maa's home...after watching Ian playing real happily, mama decided to join him....hheee he was surprised to see mama's on the playground....guess last time the playground wasn't as fanciful as what we see today....so mama did whatever Ian did...except the crawling tunnel was a little 'painful' on the knees hahaa here's the mother and son checking daddy out =)
And mama enjoyed the slide most hehee....could whee together with Ian...but just wonder if the next time Ian visits the playground, would he expect mama to join him too??? Hhmm that day the playground was w/o any children so mama could join in...hhmm will see how to explain to him...sigh din think of consequences huh never mind...mama had some fun too but soon ah maa was calling us from the window from 14th flr then we realised later on there were known to be some mozzies ard the area so can't play too long =)

A busy Sat day out....

For the longest time, we haven't been out whole of Sat...usually we would rush home for Ian's precious nap time but knowing we've tight schedule today coz the small grp which is taking place in the east in the morning and Christmas party at ah mu's and ah bah's home in the evening and we need to get stuff for the party...so decided to let Ian nap on the go...besides daddy says gotta make Ian zzz early tonite coz tmr gonna be in church early...so here's the pic of the cosy small grp we had in Uncle Ben's and Auntie Celeste's place....too bad Uncle Eugene left early with Auntie Esther....so here's the pic of the grp wo Jiu2 and Jiu-mu since they are busy today
Besides the gd food and fellowship....we were amazed (or rather mama was) by the mini Coca Cola Zero vending machine which Uncle Ben and Auntie Celeste bought in their stay in Tokyo...pretty cool coz we could really put coin in and get our Coke, here's Ian with his signature cheese coz he did press on the vending machine and the can did come out...hhmm till when he knows what is Coke then its banned! Hhhaaa anw he had his sinful share of toffee coz he asked from Uncle Ben when he was distributing to everyone....1st ever sweet and sinful 'dessert' huh, he had endless of 'buffeting' of the food prep while we were doing sharing....guess he had an extended lunch time =)

After Ian's nap, he was most thrilled to find himself in jie2 and gor2's home...with the company of both Iong and Chng family....with the familiar faces, he was soon busy running ard after being filled with the yummy food and of course with his usual 'dose' of dayi's hug...tho dayi not too well...hope dayi gets well soon for the festive coming up

Here are the cousins with their masks from the goodie bags prepared by ah mu...except Ian wasn't quite keen on the mask (guess he can't see properly) so here's the pic of the 3 masked cousins....this is the 1st round of Christmas party....so diff with Ian running ard unlike last Christmas when he was still crawling ard...easier to 'control' esp food wise hhmmm

It's Christmas time...

After digging for the bag, mama also found this Christmas hat which dayi bought for mama some yrs back...and dunno if this boy knows what is Christmas, he kept insisting to wear this hat and even posed cheese for mama to take this pic...ya we are counting down to the many parties for Christmas
And here's a shot the 3 little ones took while shopping in GWC...guess still abit apprehensive to have a Christmas tree in our homes coz u know never what these little ones end up doing...so for time being, it's just taking pic in the malls =)

A new care-giver for Ian??

Well we were out for dinner and shopping at GWC on fri evening....and as usual Ian fussed a little abt walking on his own...wanted to be carried but mama said No esp daddy wasn't there yet so so after walking a while, realised he was chasing after Seth to hold his hand...this nice gor2 was really walking slowly to pace Ian's walking....thot it was a really sweet and warm sight so captured this shot...mama was only helping Ian up the stairs by holding the other hand and immed after the stairs, Seth told mama to let go of Ian's hand...hhmm new care-giver huh...Ian also prefered Seth gor2's hand thereafter...but new 'trick' to ask Ian to walk on his own

Thereafter was joking with Seth if he could look after Ian in future so mama could go out....he said SURE...ya just imagine bringing Ian to playground and this gor2 will play as usual and only to find out the little boy has wondered further than he thot...hhmm for the time being its 2 by 2 tho Joy also wanted to join in but too long a line to walk...esp in shopping mall

A visitor on a Tue evening

It has been sometime since any visitor (that Ian hasn't seen before) visited us at our home on wkday nite so mama was abit curious to see what's Ian's reaction when Auntie Sharmaine came by...hhmm Ian thot was daddy at the door but after peering to see, he looked rather surprised to see an auntie instead (tho the auntie called herself jie2) and thereafter he seemed frozen to the ground...before that, he was still asking mama to do this and that...once Auntie Sharmaine came, he became speechless and frozen....after sometime of warm up, he was actually asking her to carry him....hhmm guess he's more 'friendly' to anyone back at his familiar home env huh....or issit Auntie Sharmaine looked friendly?? Well will try a few more pple then conclude hahaa...was a pleasant evening waiting for daddy while catching up with mama's ex-colleague...at least Ian's not asking for things and NOT sticky to mama hehe

Ian's 1st bag

HHmm of late, Ian's been so keen to carry grocery bags, mama's bag and even po2's bag so managed to fish out this baby Pooh bag which someone got it for his baby shower (hhmm how weird to give a bag to a baby) so he could carry his own stuff then mama could perhaps go bag-less?? hahaaa
Tried really hard to take a back view of this boy coz he doesn't understand how come take pic from the back since mama's been taking pic of him from the front hahaa anyway let's see if this boy will really carry his own bag (tho small to put much things) but its just nice for his shoulder

A church wedding on a sunday morning

So far the weddings we have attended are mostly on Sat...but today instead of going TA for svc, we went to Crystal Tabernacle for Auntie Sylvy and Uncle Richard's wedding...abit skeptical of the kids sitting thru the svc coz there's no cry room but after several sms exchange with Auntie Syl, she said it was fine for the kids to be in....see the 2 little ones feeding on craisins and crackers
Then we saw the bride and groom with their sword bearers (tried to take a pic of them but too many camera men and women in front to block) well we did have a gd view of the sword bearers coz we were just at the corner seat

Then we went for the tea reception.....what fascinated most kids was this pop corn station....both seth and Ian were fascinated seeing how the pop corn popped coz it was 'cooking'....Ian was going 'OOoohhh' and stunned with the pop corn that kept popping out....well it was a gd time celebrating the happy occasion with the couple...shld see the wedding pic on facebook soon!

The sun is out so we are out in the sun!

On Fri evening, we were out at East Coast park coz daddy was back early and here's the excited kids when we took a walk along the beach after dinner....Ian was alittle apprehensive to walk on the sand....he was literally frozen on the sand as it was uneven and he was afraid of falling....here's a cute shot taking the 3 little ones....guess they are happy the wkend is here!

On Sat morning, the sun was out and ah mu jio us for some sand play....well it was the same stretch of beach which we went last nite, Ian wasn't afraid of sand and started digging his sand pit...it was tough getting him to look at camera as he was totally engrossed with his sand play

Here's a shot we managed to capture after a long while....glad the sun is out coz it has been so long since we are outdoors since been busy with jiu2's wedding and weather hasn't been too gd these days...will take a sneak outdoors whenever we can since the kids love it! But its getting tougher as wet weather is here these days....glad we could go out in the morning since it is raining in the noon....

Isn't Ian so auntie??

Yah these days when we do grocery, Ian would ask for a bag to 'help' to carry as well....so we just gave him the lightest bag which is the newspaper....and he would sling on his arm....just find him so auntie hahaa so captured this shot...there was once mama brought him to supermarket to but spice for the dinner and he also wanted to carry all the bags....it was quite light but he was walking home and he tripped...an auntie saw the sight and she must be thinking the mama is 'torturing' the son to carry the bags...sigh little did she know the story behind carrying the bags...its HIS request and mama is innocent =p

Ian turns 21 mths old

and he is learning to count 1,2,3...4,5! Well lately, Ian's picking up things faster and he's more keen to ask what's the name of things....for the past week when he was at po2's pl, he was counting 1-5 with ah gong2...well guess he's been used to counting 1-5 since Hi-5 has lots of that...he's picking up words slowly but surely...but it also means we gotta be careful with our words...hhmm above is a happy pic when he saw daddy when he just woke up from his zzz on the past Mon...coz it was unusual for daddy to be home in the morning....and the best was daddy could bring us out for the whole day....we just LOVE HOLIDAY!!!

Jiu2 and Jiu-mu's part 2 wedding dinner

After a nice italian dinner last nite, tonite we went for another round of chinese dinner at Noble Hse Tung Lok...and we had the luxury of being in a private room as we had kids so can't quite be in the main hall...look at how happy Ian is with the 'Just Married' balloon...we did spend quite abit of time looking for balloons to decorate the place coz mama was i/c of the dinner
Here's the 'newly wed' ooppss the 2 little ones just loved playing with the balloons coz they could float in the air and they had lots of fun running ard the place with them....maybe Ber and Lorr looked like that when they were younger?? hehee...anw it wasn't easy to capture this shot coz both the kids just wanted to run ard but this shot Ian was actually putting his arms ard Joy...din quite expect that hahaa

Yah here's a nice shot of the lovely couple....pretty bride in red and handsome groom in suit....just pray that they will live a lovely marriage all their life with God in the centre of their home....enjoy ur honeymoon and will see both back with us real soon

Jiu2's BIG day has come!!!

Yup, the big day of Jiu2 has come! The kids were most excited to be dressed nicely for the events...so were the adults huh...all dolled up esp to receive this new 'addition' to Chng family...congrats to jiu2 and jiu-mu! Have a God blessed marriage and the family will walk alongside this new chapter of life

The TA2 sanctuary was filled pretty fast....Ian was busily walking abt the last row which we have 'chope' coz it was impossible for him to sit still in the front row...where he was, he was entertaining nearby guests....he was 'talking' and making funny gestures to make pple laugh...guess most pple love kids so they din mind Ian's little mischief

well the day was a day of meeting relatives as well...guess alot of the relatives were amazed how 'big' Ian is...guess we have not met some of them for ages....well they could say 'how cute', well many memories for mama coz it was this same sanctuary which we exchanged the wedding vows some 3 yrs ago....it feels v diff with a little addition now...gotta be busy with him running ard and little mischief hhmm

It was also a time to catch up with some of our peers who are not attending our church...here's a pic of the 2 little Ians....they are only a few mths apart but both are as active....let's watch them grow...alot pple commented the 2 Ians look so much like their daddies hhmm somehow the male genes are stronger huh

We headed home late after the tea ceremony in church for Ian's late nap...coz there was part 2 dinner at Rochester Park....its at this cool Da Paolo Bar which jiu2 and jiu-mu have chosen to have their appreciation dinner for their loved ones....quite cool with the name tags to indicate where ur seat ought to be....no name tag for Ian so the little mermaid behind is his...hehee he had some gd time playing with the stickers

We were treated to srumptous Italian food....we had steak and cod fish and ended with yummy Italian dessert.....ya Ian had a share in the food and was enjoying the steak as well....guess the steak was so thick he thot it looked like cake and was singing the bday song again hehee...

Well this boy sat down for almost 3 hrs and he was gd until the end when he got tired of sitting in the high chair...so got him to pose for some pics in his rugged outfit (as said by dayi) well it was a diff experience in the italian restaurant....and gotten to know jiu-mu more thru the speeches made by various pple

Here's a pic of the table we were seated but it was a nite of glorious food...hhmm we got another round of feasting tonite...will post pic of the nite again...till then, Jiu2 and jiu-mu, hope you both enjoyed the time sharing ur joy with friends and relatives....tiring but it is joyfully tiring we guess!
