A hair trim for the new yr???

Altho this is the 3rd time Ian is visiting a salon, this is the 1st time he really knows what's ard him...he was checking out the next seat auntie who was perming her hair..must be wondering what are those curls doing on her hair...

Anyway this hair trim idea has been shelved for some wks as we could never get a gd time slot for auntie to give Ian a hair cut....she's been too busy lately esp CNY is drawing near...we finally booked a timeslot and there Ian goes for a hair cut...initially Ian was caught unaware of the razor going over his head...next seat auntie was trying hard to distract Ian after he was aware of the razor sound....he started fidgeting and was tough for daddy to catch him still...anyway think he looks neater with the hair trim...don't you think so?? At least neater for the CNY and do hope the hair grows more evenly (for the sake of a vain mama hehehe)

Ian's figuring out his 2 front teeth....

Eversince Ian's got his 2 front (bottom) teeth, he's been figuring them out lately...he's pursing his lips...sucking his lips and even making some cheeky smile when he's checking out his teeth...hhmm he's wondering what are the 2 teeth sprouting out of his gums huh...hhmm if they are edible hahaa...Ian, they aren't any food bites left in your mouth...there are more to come =) take real gd care of them huh...

Ian's got his own playroom....

On a special day as on daddy's bday, mama and daddy cleared up Ian's room and converted it to a playroom for him. As he's in the exploring stage, we decided to do a playroom for him instead of him 'exploring' the other parts of the house...therefore with LOTS of efforts, Ian's playroom is finally up and running...here's Ian checking out his new toys which were well kept as he's still too young for some of the toys...well he can just appreciate them as they are (with the plastic covers =)

Here's a shot of him happily biting a book cum teether for him...guess he must be excited with his boxes of treasure of toys but wonder how long this excitement will last hhmmm but with the floor mats and boxes of toys..they are sure to keep Ian busy for a while in the room...

In order to really keep Ian in the room, we fixed up a safety gate for him...so he cannot wander off esp when mama has to do some chores in the day, but well the 'locked up' Ian dun look too pleased ALONE in the playroom...he would stay at the gate and yell for 'MAMA....MAMAAAAA' sigh but that also shows a human presence (esp mama's) cannot be replaced by any toy hahaa

Anyway, here's a shot of Ian on the toy car (which is a xmas gift from dayi) and just wanna thank daddy for sacrificing his special day to do up the room and even the car just for daddy's precious IAN...thank you, daddy...

Ian celebrates daddy's bday for the 1st time...

This is the 1st time Ian is celebrating daddy's bday but as he's too young, he doesn't know what it means to cut cake and sing bday song but he was definitely thrilled by the burning candles on the cake and din know why everyone was eating a chocolate cake except him hehee...let's see when Ian will know what is chocolate huh...anyway HAPPY BDAY, daddy and thanks for being my daddy =) and may more of God's blessings be upon you

Ian's 1st ride on sky train and visit to the T3 airport

As part of the extended family's outing on Sat, we went to explore the T3 for the 1st time and Ian was real excited taking the sky train and holding on to the rail and checking out the train...hhmm wait till he can walk and run, guess he won't wanna be seated down huhBut the strange thing abt Ian is...for the past weekdays he can go without nap for 5-7 hrs but on this Sat, he was taking naps in daddy's arms wherever we went...hhmm issit coz daddy's arms more cosy to sleep...but check him out when the family is at the viewing mall seeing planes take off and landing, this boy can be so so sound asleep...wonder who's the tired one here huh

Ian starts to trail mama down in the house...

1 fine morning...mama thot Ian was still snoozing in his zzz so decided to check her mail...soon she heard Ian making sounds that he is awake...so mama continued typing away...who knows...soon Ian came crawling to mama's computer table and started playing with the wires...hhmm daddy, time to do something huh...and these days Ian could come trailing mama ard the house...guess he seems to know his territory v well...time to keep his boundary small hhmm

Wk 45 - Ian starts to wave...

This week, we would see an excited Ian trying to wave when he sees us wave...1 of the fine day when PoPo was going off, he even waved to say bye..hhmm guess he's in this stage of imitating adults...hhmm gonna watch our actions coz who knows he would be next imitating what we say...just coz we dun understand we dun know....no wonder pple say kids are the most impressionable lot...

Wk 43 - Ian's checking out other grounds

After wks and mths of crawling, mama was complaining why Ian still crawl ard mama only...then he started exploring the house on his own...he would crawl anywhere and mama starts to regret coz he starts to pull things wherever he goes...hhmm now he still explores living room only...cant imagine him going into rooms...messy messy huh....well now he can crawl after us esp when we 'abandon' him after reaching home to do our chores...hhmm

Daddy and Mama's anniversary holiday...

It's daddy and mama's 2nd wedding anniversary holiday and brought along Ian little light bulb hahaa...well well guess he had a fun time tagging along...though pple asked why bring him along since its wedding anniversary...the fact is Ian has never stayed with anyone over a nite yet needless to say abt 2 nites...and the truth is we have become such a family unit, it would be diff w/o him along hhmm now we do things threesome huh....guess no more romancing with this little bulb but sure more kiddish fun and laughter with this boy ard...alot of bonding with daddy during the trip (well when mama shops =) but daddy enjoyed his gd hawker buys from meldrum walk hahaa...feasting thru the trip....and Ian enjoying his snuggle with us again on king size bed...but still a little tense when swimming but now checking out other kids in the pool...wish everyday could be HOLIDAY!!!

Ian's 10 mths old and....

his favorite color is BLUE!! Well its quite amazing that at such young age, Ian has a preference for color...well dunno issit coz most of his clothes are blue or issit just a preference for the boyish color...hhmm what mama observed was...

with Ian's fav stacko rings toy, he would always hold on to the blue ring....he would topple the whole stacko toy and reach out for his blue ring...hhmm it has been for some time and mama is quite amazed how he has preference for blue as mama 'experimented' this at ah mu's place as there is also an exact toy and he did the same...hhmm wonder is there really such a preference at such young age..hhmm but the interesting is ian would substitute the purple ring for blue when mama tries to hide the blue ring...hahaa once he caught a sight of the blue ring...immediately he would throw the purple one away..literally throw hahaha how practical...no one can snatch his blue ring away huh...

Ian's 1st new yr...

Happy New Year to all!!! As we all enter the new yr, its our hope for all to get closer to our Maker in the new yr and even tho what is ahead seems uncertain (sometimes!), we know who we are gonna meet ultimately and here's a cheerie smile from Ian to all to press on this tough journey of life and have a super BLESSED new yr....thanks for accompanying our family esp in this past yr with the addition of little Ian to the family and it has been great encouragement on this journey of parenthood....its our prayer for little Ian to grow strong and healthy in this family of Joy and Hope!

Ian went for watchnite svc?

As daddy had to go church on New Yr's eve to prep the PA for watchnite svc, so mama decided the whole fam will go together as Ian is not sleepy and perhaps he would be sleepy on journey home. So this boy dressed in his pyjamas went along....mama noticed that when he's near his zz land time, he would be super smile-ly and true enough he attracted alot of pple's attention coz he was smiling to everyone...looks so friendly huh so everyone wanted to cuddle this smile-ly baby but who knows Ian would grounch and ask for mama each time someone tries to carry him...hhmm he just prefer to be a smile-ly but not cuddly baby hahaa...well his smiles are free but cuddle is priceless hhmm so sorry folks, must get close to him before u can get that cuddle
