Check who's nua-ing on bed

Here's Ian lying on his bed just to play with the tissue which he has pulled out from the tissue pack...wonder how he learnt to nua on bed...coz these days mama would see Ian picking something from the side table and the next moment he would be checking his mattress and then lean back and lie down playing with his new found 'toy' hhmm just amazed how he knows he can rem that his mattress is safe to just fall back and lie...just worried he would do it some day on the concrete ground....ouch!

Wk 50 - Ian's getting real talkative

Ian loves checking himself out in front of mirror...guess he's just amazed with another being who looks exactly like him hehee...here's a pic of him smiling to himself hahaa...anyway these days, we see a real talkative Ian...he's talking baby language which we dun understand and he can keep rattling on....hhmm wonder if ever he would be given the comment in his report book as a talkative boy...hahaa wonder where the genes come from since both parents dun seem the talkative sort (unless some of u think otherwise hahaha) hhmm just wonder if Ian means what he's saying...or he's just mumbling on...sure hope he's not scolding pple coz mama scolded alot of pple when conceiving him...no choice, its due to work hahaa...

Day 349 - Ian celebrates yuan xiao with mama and daddy

Here's a pic of Ian checking out the tang yuan which mama has made for yuan xiao...eerrr not make lah but rather cook those pre-packed kind...Ian's most keen checking out the tang yuan but nope...none for him since he can't take nuts yet...but he's sure attracted by the round yuans hehee...guess kids just love round things huh...next yr maybe??

Wk 49 - Ian is starting to move his feet along the edges

Well this week, we see Ian moving slowly but steadily along the edges of sofa and TV console...hhmm guess with the 'carrot' of things at the end of sofa and TV console, he's surely making his move worthwhile...just wondering when he would take a bold step but not grapping onto things...hhmm well this has been a great improvement already

Celebrating advanced yuan xiao with Iong extended family

On the last Sun, the Iong extended family celebrated yuan xiao with a potluck at a shelter cool-ly situated at the Botanic Garden (near the eco garden) and each family brought SOME food to share but there were alot left over still....hehee the bigger kids were running ard whereas the 3 babies meet on their prams...most comfy in their prams and checking out the greens ard them

Well some of the family members were real kind to help carry Ian (coz getting a bit bored in his comfy pram), here's a shot with biao jiu who seems to be quite gd with kids...bringing Ian ard and telling them the things that are ard...hhmm guess Ian has been quite gd with biao jiu...just enjoy the view 'up' there huh

And yi-maa was real gd with carrying Ian as well...she even managed to make Ian to nap...hhmm gd training for yi-maa's future grandchildren to come hehee and we all cant wait to ask if yi-maa could help to take care of kids for some while hehee...anyway it was a gd time catching up with yi-maas, biao jiu, biao yi and gu2 in the greenery =)

Wk 49 - Ian is finally finishing his bottle milk feed

We have been trying to give formula feed for Ian for some months but he never seemed to like his bottle feed. He can suck a little and crawl ard and then forget abt his bottle. Or he can play with his teat and bottle but never to drink the milk. FINALLY, this week we see Ian finishing his milk altho its only 120ml (ie 3.5 oz) which is real little compared to babies who are younger than him but it has been a great achievement having him to drink from bottle...hhmm it also means mama can put him in others' hands in evening so mama can go party hoohoo! just waiting for Ian to hold his own bottle...on some nites only =)

Day 344 - Ian goes for his 1st test drive with daddy

Ian went car shopping with daddy and mama and had his 1st test drive....it was at quite a deserted teban gardens car showroom....but Ian had a gd time checking out the car seats and even tried on various steering wheels hhmm maybe he can tell us his preference....maybe more room for him to crawl ard....well wait and see when we get a real gd deal =)

Ian meets up with more aunties and uncles this CNY...

This 2nd CNY wkend was supposed to be a busy meetup with mama's friends and ex-colleagues...somehow only the Fri dinner date was on (sat and sun appts are postponed) but also gd for mama who just lost her voice. Well, Ian was super gd during the Fri dinner date at Changi Airport T3, despite little nap in the day...he was smily to aunties and uncles (even to the waitress at the Swensens restaurant who came and wished him Happy Valentines' Day and played jokes with him) well Uncle YM has always been attracted by Ian since some mths ago and tried again this time....Ian was ok to let him carry (gd for mama and daddy) guess Uncle YM really loves kids...hhhmm Auntie D...time for one kid soon =)

well well it was a time for the little ones to 'earn' ang baos....Ian din quite know what is ang bao, after a while he threw them on the ground...hhhmm not like Baby Manfred who held on quite close to his ang bao...hhmm wonder what Auntie SC and Uncle M taught him...hhaha well hope Manfred grows up soon to join us at the dinner table... well to Auntie SC and Uncle M...we came thru this journey, easier times are coming ahead =) next CNY, Manfred would be running ard with Ian hhmm

And of coz for our dear 'expat' friend...the gathering was also to catch up with Auntie HJ...well the same qn goes 'When are u gonna come with ur Mr Right?' hahaa....its gd to capture each shot of gathering with Ian coz we can recall how Ian grows thru each time meeting up with Auntie HJ...ehehe guess the next time Ian would be heavier and more active..dunno if Auntie HJ can still carry him (shld be able lah since Auntie HJ goes GYM mah and carried heavier weight than Ian hahaa) well have a gd trip back to SH and we sure all hope to bunk in ur apartment....some day =)

Ian's standing on his own

Wk 49, this week we see Ian getting more inclined to stand on his own....he used to find mama as support to stand but this week he was trying to stand on his own...check him out pointing at the chart in his playroom...as if he knows what is each picture...but he was talking as if he were teaching mama each alphabet...rather then the other way round....maybe he is teaching in his baby language...but well let's see if he starts to move along the wall...coz now he's climbing onto pillows to get on to our King size bed....and often stepping on mama so he could get onto the sofa..but he's still busy cruising around the house...often have to do his 'rounds' before he could get back to his mattress for afternoon naps...now he's learning to nua too...taking a 'toy' he found cruising ard the hse and lying on the mattress fidgeting the 'toy'...hhmm wonder where he learnt this...wait till we capture a shot of him doing it =)

Ian's 1st Valentine's Day

This year, mama and daddy had a super 'noisy' Valentine's day coz Ian has added more noise and life to our Valentine's Day...here's a shot of him taken with the card mama prepared for daddy....he was most keen to read it but well he was kept quite far from the card to refrain him from chewing the card =) Happy Valentine's Day, everyone (or maybe its a belated one) guess its kindof different esp now with the little one celebrating Valentine's day with us...not so much of light bulb but all attention is on him instead of US...well see if ever Ian would get us a valentine's gift in future =)

Ian's getting bouncy...

Now we see a super bouncy Ian on his high chair...sometimes its so hard to get him seated still for us to feed him at times, there was once daddy fed him while he was bouncing but he missed the spoon and ended up biting his tongue....there he was wailing for nothing hhmm some asked if we let him watched too much of Tigger show...hahaa well guess he's just exploring and realising bouncing can be fun...well he just gotta learn to sit still when the spoon comes...

Record Broken - Ian visited Sentosa 3 times in 4 days!!!

On Seth's gor2's bday(which was on chu xi), ah ba had the whole day off so we had opportunity to tag along to visit Sentosa and we chanced upon the flower bonanza (tho some parts were not ready) and took some pics...
On 3rd day of CNY, we went for a family outing with the extended family to Sentosa and to the flower bonanza again...it was super crowded but the flowers were really pretty...mama and daddy had a bonus ride on The Luge as po2 was ard with ah mu, dayi, gong2 to look after Ian while daddy and mama had a raving gd time on the luge hahaa...just recalled those days when it was couplehood...well well we cant wait for Ian to grow up and join us in the fun...well we had a stand in 'son' Seth coz he loved the Luge and we accompanied him hehee...Ian, ur turn next time huh...
After visiting the Sentosa flower bonanza, daddy thot it would be nice to bring ah maaa who is a flower craze fan to visit the exhibition so we jio ah maa for a cool evening visit on 3rd day of CNY (ya Ian visited Sentosa twice in a day) but kinda mistake coz it was so so so SO SO crowded...there was a traffic jam at Sentosa...hhmm never quite expect everyone to go in the evening but after walking it makes sense coz it was a whole lot cooler and lots more to see coz we managed to catch glimpses of fireworks from the Song of the Sea show...but it was alot crowded...hhmm there were nice stops to take pics with the flowers but it was long queue so mama captured this shot to see the diff in the views of the flowers in day and nite...for folks who missed the exhibition...it is till 17 Feb so another wk more...

Ian's 1st CNY

This being Ian's 1st CNY was a really busy one for the 1st 3 days....guess having to time Ian's nap in between the visits were a little tough....hhmm last yr mama could just laze ard at the homes except with the BIG tummy...this yr was to carry Ian on our arms as Ian was shy of most strangers. What was amazing was Ian was quite ok with some strangers like Ian's granduncle (ie daddy's biaojiu) and Ian's gim po (mama's ah gim) and they could carry Ian for some gd time so mama and daddy can be eased to have lunch and break =) so so Ian is actually ok with some strangers but just wonder who....hhmm Ian has yet to know what is means to get ang bao from folks but he was quick to push away from pple he was shy...this boy sure knows how to reject offers from strangers...shall see a BIG diff when he understands CNY next yr when he can talk a little more and probably walk and run with the other kids

Anyway here's on Ian's behalf greeting everyone a very BLESSED chinese new yr and with all the goodies and greetings...remember to 'song4 en1' (sing of God's grace) wherever u go and whoever u visit =)

Ian's 11 mth old and...

he's got an egg tart??? hhmm nah...it happened to be on the 3rd day of CNY after going for the flower bonanza at Sentosa, we went out yum cha with gong2 and po2 and realised Ian's 11 mth old so got him to take a pic with egg tart but his eyes were really stuck to the tart haha...hhmm wait till u are older since u can't take whole egg yet....so mama ate the egg tart on your behalf 1st huh...well time flies...Ian's gonna turn 1 soon...alot of pple are asking any plans but well this boy doesn't know what is bday yet so so we still thinking hard =p...will keep u folks posted if there is any bday bash hahaaa

Day 336 - Ian's (and daddy's) 1st visit to The Istana

On a fine 2nd day of CNY, daddy and mama happened to pass by THE Istana and rem that it was the open house day hehee and then decided to go in to stroll since it was nearing the closing time...it was Ian's and daddy's 1st visit to THE Istana....tho mama did 1st visit it some 10 yrs ago hehee....so we had a gd time strolling thru the huge place as Ian was really comfy in his pram checking out pple streaming in and out...kids running on the green pastures and pple having mats sitting on the grass and admiring the sky....

There were alot of activities lined up for the day but guess we missed all....so we almost wanted to go into the main hall to see if we can chance upon the President's office and sit on his comfy chair...but we suddenly realise perhaps Ian might make noise in the nice indoor so we decided to stay outdoor for him to enjoy the fountain just in front of the building...lots of place to explore in THE Istana...there were even lots of slides transported in for the kids to play...even had those push carts ice cream stalls to entice pple we guess....till Ian's a little older think he would enjoy more running ard and checking out the huge compound...and maybe kick a ball on the grass =)
Well coz of the tight security, Ian had his 1st try to go thru the scan in the pram....well he was nicely push thru the gantry and guess he never knew what gantry he was going thru with those uniformed police checking all baggages....well it was nice evening stroll and Ian has been most cooperative in his pram and of coz putting on his legs at times to be more comfy...guess if he were to walk, he would most prob be dragging his legs coz it was really a LONG walk in....

Day 332 - Ian learns to clap...

On a duper super grouchy Mon morning, despite Ian's groan and moan on the changing mat, he started clapping...and he was super thrilled by it and since then he has been clapping...guess its a new 'skill' he has acquired and seems pretty happy that both his hands can come together and make some sound hehee...well guess this is part of his devt but it sure seems a thrill to him...well sometimes just reminding him of clapping will make him happier (when he's having one of those grouchy moments hehe) well this CNY, he learns to greet pple with claps rather than gongxi2 huh....anyway he's getting some rhythmic sense too coz when he hears music now he would wanna move his butt hahaa...quite cute...continue to see huh whether its in rhythm =)

Happy Bday to DAYI....

Today's dayi's bday....wannna wish u blessed bday and many of God's blessing be with her for this coming yr...it was an interesting bday celebration for dayi as it was a change from normal home-cooked food to having a pizza dinner at Gong2's place...Ian was super eyeing on the pizza as his high chair was just right in front of the pizza and these days he is SUPER excited abt food...even though he finished his porridge, he was asking for more as he saw alot of pizzas still on the table...no no to table food for Ian...hhmm wish u could too as there was a Mickey pizza for the kids...wait till u are older I guess...in the meantime have a super nutritious porridge dinner and with papaya (of coz!)

Ian's got a naughty seat in his playroom...check me out

Ian loves to play with this stool that is in his playroom....he would tumble it and start playing it like a drum and finally a day came, mama decided to put him sitting on it and he was a little lost being placed there hahaa coz his legs were off the ground and he would not crawl ard except to sit still there....sigh and look at his uncomfy look on his face...well this is how he looks when placed on potty too hahaa so know what to do when he's naughty except that being a mischievous boy...he is attempting to jump off the stool...wonder if it would ever happen...

Ian's 1st watch...

Gong2 came across a watch shop and decided to get a watch for Ian so he can wear it for CNY...hhm how would a barely 1 yr old kid know wat is a watch..true enough Ian's contented just holding it...does not like it to be strapped to his wrist....hhaaa so it ended up quite a gd toy for him on his high chair...just gotta watch he does not end up biting the strap....and he holds quite tightly onto the new 'toy'....get a watch at such a young age huh...
