Wk 59 - Ian starts his BOO-GY BOO-GY dance...

Now Ian has a 'dancing' corner....he uses the play gym to play music so that he can do his boogy dance...he would swing his arms and move non-stop till music stop..guess that is his 'music-player' when he feels like dancing...if not whenever we play DVD or he watches program with music then he would start swinging...it's quite hilarious esp there is some parts he would bend down as if he were giving a bow...hahaa whenever mama and daddy try to imitate him, he would laugh real heartily and continue his dance as if he has a 'partner' now hahaha....well well it just amazes us how he picked up such habits out of the blue....hhmm maybe shld tape this down some day =) and get him his boogy boogy shoes hehee

Day 414 - Ian starts to love water fun =)

Since Ian was barely 5 mths old, mama and daddy been trying to bring Ian occassionally to swim and he has been fearful of water getting into his eyes when he was 7 mths old...and after several more attempts he still seemed fearful. On a real fine Sat morning, after accepting ah-mu's invitation to tag along to 1 north club since Seth was learning swimming, we tagged along and was skeptical of Ian going into waters coz the water was cold, he was fussing for dunno what...thot he was sleepy coz he can't be hungry after a full breakfast...after letting him crawl on the ground, he started crawling towards the waters....so we decided to change him into his suit, and there he is enjoying the waters and was not afraid of water getting into his eyes anymore...he was in fact enjoying the water fun till he forgot abt the pain on his knees as it was small pebbles on the ground....he ventured further and further...

and even enjoyed the ride on the animal rides and was trying to reach for water to have more water fun...well well we will be back again since Ian had such an enjoyable time...he din quite wanna go for bath well...hope he starts enjoying water and it will be more fun times ahead =) thanks ah mu for the invitation that brought along realisation of Ian overcoming the fear of getting into cold waters =p

Wk 59 - Where is MAMA???

After a yr of staying home with Ian 24/7, mama finally got a work assignment to be out of home for 2 hrs in the evening so Ian has complete attention from daddy dearest only...mama was out for 2 consecutive evenings and Ian must be wondering where mama disappeared to coz whenever mama came back, he would gave loud cry as if mama bullied him...hhmm guess its also his sleeping time...after checking with daddy, then realised Ian has been scouting the whole house to look for mama (i.e. the kitchen, the playroom and the bedroom) hhmm guess he thot mama climbed out of the window hahaa...anyway guess such bonding time with daddy shld be good and mama can take a breather =) from the sticky chewy Ian hhhehee

A cockadodo hat for Ian??

Guess we have tried to put things/toys on Ian's head so often that he's picking it up also...mama was opening letters and after coming to disturb mama's letter, mama just conveniently passed him an envelope and next moment mama caught Ian cheekily put the opened envelope on his head and started giving his funny giggles hahaa....guess in midst of his terror moments, he's quite cute at times...just such time, mama wonder whether to laugh at his cheeky tricks

Ian's getting climby

Ian's been getting quite climby these days....he would flex his legs and try to climb on the sofa...he's succeeded in climbing from his mattress to daddy and mama's bed...at nite, when his whines can't get mama's attention, next moment he tries to climb onto the bed...sigh wonder if its something in boys...
when he gets bored with his toys, he starts trying to climb on the tv console....this is scary if he's left alone in the hall coz wonder what he would do if he ever gets on it...sigh and the part abt mama screaming at him would make him CRY LOUDLY!!! guess his abs muscles are really building up coz he seems to be able to do sit up soon whenever make him on a lie down position hhmm

Here's Ian with his granduncle =)

Here's a pic of Ian with his granduncle...sounds old huh but guess the granduncle is in fact quite young...hhmm attended a full month baby gal of another granduncle and quite alot of the relatives wanted to carry Ian to bring him ard the hse...as such, mama caught this shot of this granduncle wanting to bring Ian out of the hse to see the kids play basketball...guess its gonna be quite a way to go before Ian can start playing with the bigger kids...in the meanwhile, its to enjoy being carried on arms...and sitting for feed and more feed...after attending quite a couple of baby shower last yr...this is the 1st attending one that is born this yr =) guess more to come this yr

Feed the swans??

With a leftover bread for the past week, we decided to head towards botanical gardens to feed the fishes...turtle and swans....Ian was staring at the loaf of bread as mama starts pinching and feeding the fish...coz its his beloved bread hahaa....he must be wondering why mama dun feed him but instead threw the bread into the waters...he just stared at the bread being tossed into the waters and his eyes were fixed on the swans as they gobble up the bread =) wonder when Ian would be able to 'part' with his fav bread and start feeding the animals...hhmm

Thanks Auntie Serene for the oatmeal cookie!

On a fine Fri noon, it was so sweet of Auntie Serene to bring mama and Ian out for a meal at Dempsey...while mama is catching with the old fren, Ian had a gd time 'feasting' with his meal, fruit and biscuit...and he was asking for more so Auntie Serene was nice to offer to get a cookie for the boy and he was happily munching his cookie at the restaurant...and gave all cheerful smiles to Auntie Serene...guess he's just happy to be out of home and after a hearty meal, he slept comfortably in mama's arms while on the way back in the mini cooper =) guess he must have felt so comfy in the mini...

Ian's been 'cooking' for a week

Ian's been busy 'cooking' for the past week...guess its a new toy so he's thrilled at how he could 'whip' up in his pot and pan...even with his sizzling grill pan...hahaa he would crawl ard with his pot and a spoon...then daddy would ask what he's cooking...but he would crawl even faster thinking daddy would be snatching his toy away hahaa....wonder how long this toy will thrill him and guess he's thrilled by kitchen stuff...his fav but yet forbidden place in the house - kitchen so mama let him set up his own 'kitchen' toy hahaa...but when he's bored he would be chewing his brinjal or ketchup bottle ard the hse aarrgghhh

Wk 58 - What's up with Ian??

Well these days u can see Ian with this look - CRY...coz mama training him to zzz thru the nite so no feed for his 3am wake up....so he would sit up...fuss and cry a little and then go back to sleep..seems to work after ah mu advised...he seemed to take shorter and shorter time to get back to sleep..just got to disturb daddy's and neighbours' sleep (oopss) and when Ian can zz from 12mn - 6am guess will cut his midnite feed...shall see when Ian can succeed zzz thru the nite..guess its gd for him not to wake up for his habitual 'feeds'

Day 400 - A jab jab day for Ian

It has been at least half yr since Ian took his last jab and its time to revisit the Everton Clinic again and this time its so different...we used to hover ard the clinic's door to stand by for Ian's turn..this time we sat in the clinic and Ian was playing on his fav blue chairs...well guess he din know what he was in for...hahaaa

Dr Phang examined Ian and after 1/2 yr, Ian only put on 0.9kg and he's now 10.1kg and he's healthy and bouncing hehee...We contemplated v long whether to let Ian take 1 or 2 jabs coz he's due for 2 jabs but we could make separate visit...so doc told us to take MMR 1st since its the compulsory jab...so Ian took the jab on his left shoulder and Dr Phang was so gd in distracting him with this invisible mosquito in the air that he din even crinch the slightest at the jab....we were surprised...he just looked STUNNED...as if the 'mosquito' took a ferocious bite ahaha but din know how to express the shock

So we decided to go ahead with the pneumococcal booster jab and it has to be administered on his thigh...this time he was super wary of the doctor hehee he was checking every move the doc makes...see even daddy dun dare to look at the needle...hehee no lah, daddy was trying to get a toy to distract Ian....and when the jab was given, Ian only made a loud yell and it was over...guess this time his shock came more anticipated and he was ok after the jab

Guess he must be glad when we made our exit from the 'dangerous' clinic hahaa...well its gonna be another 1/2 yr before we will come for more jabs but we must say Ian's been most 'brave' in taking the jabs and our fears have been unfounded...guess Ian's immunity has kindof strengthened with all these jabs and pray for more healthy yrs ahead! Till we meet the doc and the blue chairs again....

Wk 57 - Ian starts to cross his legs more frequently

For the past months since Ian's been sitting, we noticed he likes to sit with his legs apart or with a leg stretched while the other sitted on, this week he's crossing his legs to sit more often...wonder if its coz he has grown taller hahaa but dun u think this crossing of legs of this little one reminds us of those days when we were little in pri sch and crossing legs during assembly?? hehee anyway just brought out this 'kitchen set' toy for Ian since he's getting bored with his old toys and he seems to like kitchen coz that's the 1st place he would crawl to look for Mama and sometimes explore there on his own...anyway of his whole cooking set, he seems to love the brinjal best hahaa...but that's the most 'dislike' veg for mama...well well...

Is Ian tired???

These days, we see Ian conveniently lying his head on the sofa like that...just wondering if he's tired or what...he would even put cushion on the floor and rest his head on it but short after these 'resting' he would lift his head and give us BIG GRINS...guess he's just trying to trying to pull some tricks huh....or is he mimicing someone?? hehe

Ian turns 13 mths old...

well as mama celebrates bday, kindof recall a yr ago when Ian's always in sleepy mode and had to be carried to take pic...a yr has passed and on this same occasion and same cartoon character cake (from ah mu too) mama can't help but to thank God for seeing the whole family thru this past yr and as we see Ian growing up, its all thru God's providence that mama could stay home to look after Ian...some might see it as a luxury but as mama reads on the book (from Jiu2 and Auntie Lorraine) 'Feminine appeal' then mama realised stay home mum is not an option, its a calling for all mums to stay home and be with their kids...but somehow mama still has an urge to work so shall see God's calling but this past yr has been a transforming yr for mama...and truly wanna thank God for that! pressing on for more God-given yrs ahead!

Happy Birthday to MAMA!

It's mama's bday and daddy was nice to take the day off to spend time with mama and little Ian...well mama requested to visit the zoo to relive some memories hehe..afterall mama ever planned some company welfare programme there so kindof fond memories of the place...also to show Ian some animals...well he was attentive for a while...guess we can try again when he's older...

then we made our way to visit dentist...it has been so long since mama and daddy went to visit dentist...hhmm Ian must be thinking why we were taking turns to go 'missing' hehee and he was bored at the clinic and hungry coz we missed lunch time...dentist making too big bucks lah so we had to wait...hahaa anyway had some gd time over later lunch and dinner too=) thanks daddy for spending a day with us so that the Mon din seem so so blue =)

And mama also wanna thank all those who sms-ed to give their greetings to mama...hhmm appreciative even at such an age, friends and relatives even rem mama's bday hahaa...feel so old on this day but also thank God for the many blessings bestowed upon us!

Day 394 - Ian enjoys crawling in water...

On a cool afternoon after some passing rain, the weather turned better and Ian gets a chance to join his cousins at the club's pool - sth which mama and daddy have wanted to let Ian try again - swimming in the pool since last few attempts Ian din quite seem accustomed to the cool water ard him...this time there was lots of space for Ian to crawl in the cool water and tho the ground was with pebble wash ie might be a little painful for Ian...but he seemed to enjoy crawling on the ground....at some times he even was hitting the water thus causing some splash on himself

He was a little tense at the beginning but he was getting more accustomed with the water as he checked his other cousins enjoying the water....well will try again some day as the boy was a little sleepy but it was a gd attempt...just hope he can be cruising soon in the pool w/o much fear soon

An early celebration for mama at the Sentosa

As we shared breakfast with Po2 & Gong2 and family on Sat's morning, so we had dinner out instead of usual Yishun dinner. And we went Sentosa for a buffet dinner also to celeb mama's bday in advance. Well it was a gd time walking in Sentosa before the rain came....guess we have been visiting almost every mth so kindof know where to go when Ian's bigger....the luge, the underwater world, the beach, the animal encounter, the songs of the sea and even fort siloso...so for the time being it's just walking within Sentosa and taking beach tram.

Before we had dinner, went shopping for animal hats...they were really cute but guess Ian din quite liked wearing caps so end up just took shots of him wearing them...hahaa but they were quite reasonable and mama felt tempted to get 1...anyway we headed for the sumptuous buffet dinner at Rasa Sentosa...was a plesant surprise with the seafood spread...yummy dinner and had a live band going ard the restaurant to sing as well...somehow we felt we weren't in Spore hahaa Ian was captivated by the band and even applauded for more...it was a gd dinner and Ian had gd time checking out next table's couple who were having romantic dinner but there was Ian giving the lady his cheekiest smile....so much till the lady was tempted to capture a shot of him...hope the pic isn't going anywhere...well wish we could stay longer to listen to jazz band but our dear 'Cinderella' had to be home for his zzz...till we come to Sentosa again, so long!

Day 392 - An unexpected 'outing' for the little ones..

On a fine noon when mama dropped by ah mu's place with Ian, something unexpected happened, Seth dislocated his arm...so with the 3 kids, we took cab to the ever trustworthy Dr Phang and here's seth sitting intensely on mama's lap for the doctor with his injured arm...well though this is not the 1st time, mama is amazed how Seth could be active even with his left arm down...guess this boy is full of energy and vigor to do things as he wanted to....well hope his left arm recovers its strength and outgrow the dislocability of the arm...

Though Dr Phang is no stranger to these 2 kids since he's their PD as well but they just can't help staring and wondering what is this 'stranger' doing to their gor2 hehee...well it was an unexpected noon 'excursion' as the kids were more excited of the going out of the house than the adults...

Wk 56 - Ian enjoying his HI5

Eversince mama noticed that Ian bounces with excitement when music with song is played on tv....mama has been wanting to borrow DVD to attract him to some educational shows...so so finally mama managed to get hold of a HI5 dvd from lib and here's a pic of Ian getting excited when songs were sung and danced...see how he lifts his both hands up in excitement...well well when it came to story time, he continued his usual wandering ard the tv console...sigh...maybe shld borrow those karaoke kind of dvd hehee but no educational purpose leh

Day 388 - a pleasant surprise for mama

On a usual Mon morning, Ian usually falls asleep quite easily coz of the tiring wkend...but on the Mon past, he was still NOT napping despite mama waiting for him for a whole hr...so mama decided to get on with the chores...went to the kitchen when seeing ian crawling to his playpen to have some 'fun' time...and din want Ian to come into his fav place of the hse ie kitchen so mama drew the kitchen door to do some 'work'....mama heard Ian making some 'complaining' sounds of not being let into kitchen...and it went on for some time...soon the complaint stopped...and mama was a little worried where the 'explorer' might wander to...and here's what mama saw...

To mama's surprise, Ian made his way back to his mattress and fell asleep with this position...well it sets mama wondering if mama's presence is actually needed to make Ian to nap...well can keep trying to see if Ian can make himself to sleep when he's real real tired...well that is after a long while of playing...
