Ian's visit to Henderson Waves (via Hort Park)

On a sunny Sat morning, thot of letting the father and son to go under the sun since both abit runny nose...so we trekked the Hort Park area again...the last we went to was the Alexandra Arch and today we went the other way to the Henderson Waves...there is such contrast, the Arch they used steel bars but for the waves they used wooden planks...but this time was gd coz Ian was in the pram quiet and soon zzz...the next time we shld attempt to walk to the Harbourfront area =)

Ian's 1st flight holiday

Yup, this is the 1st time Ian took a plane and he's barely 18 mths old (how fortunate!!!) but abit apprehension before we embarked on the trip (tho we booked this hols some mths ago) coz of the political tension in BKK...dunno safe for kids but when we went there, it was nothing of what we have imagined! We see no riots but many friendly Thais...guess it was also coz we were with kids so had alot of attention...and on the BTS, they were children friendly, standing up to give up their seats immediately for us....and even when we went money changer, Ian merely pointed on a toy train and that lady immediately came out to give Ian that toy...hahaa we got a free toy instead

We had gd time eating and shopping (more for Ian's stuff and they were cheap!) guess Ian was a little bored but he was gd with the sling and slept well in it tho not so gd on the pram....it was new env at the hotel or perhaps Ian din exercise for some time so he was taking his 1st step on the carpet the moment he was put down...guess he shld be walking soon since he's taking little steps...guess hols is gd for him since the last hol he slept thru the nite and this hol he started walking...then perhaps we shld go holidays more often hahaa....before Ian turns 2 coz thereafter it's more ex...he's gd on the plane, can really zzz flat since we were on budget airline and lesser passengers (since of the advice not to visit BKK) and he enjoyed buffeting on the flight since we got his food on board...and coz we were with kid so we had priority to get seats =) that was why we decided on budget too...esp mama dun like plane food...maybe more budget flights to come??

What's Ian doing????

It's the 12th time Ian is staying over po2's place and this week mama brought Ian over coz thot po2's knees weren't too well and checked on some of the things Ian was doing...he insisted to 'play' with po2's hp and there po2 took out another old hp and he was super 'high' playing with the 2 hps...look at the smile on his face...as if he's doing some hp biz huh...anyway wonder why kids love to play with phones...and these days when mama's on the phone, Ian would pick up mama's hp and talk as well...he even did it on MRT when po2 sent Ian home...according to po2, there are strangers who asked if Ian knew how to call with the hp....hahaaa he looked as if he knew coz he was really 'talking' on the hp leh

Well staying over also drew the relationship Ian has with po2 and ah gong closer...dunno how true, po2 says Ian would await for ah gong's return every wed nite even if it means beyond his zzzz time...he would rush out when he hears the gate sound and when he sees Ah gong, he would rattle on non-stop hahaa as if asking why he's back so late...ya he's mimicing ah gong even...this is a pic of Ian asking for a toothpick when he saw ah gong having 1 after a meal....he even observed how ah gong did it and did exactly the same...sigh as if he has alot of teeth to use toothpick lor....well well this boy is sure acting 'big'

Ian's lantern-FULL mid autumn this yr

Ya indeed its lantern-FULL coz just din expect so many lantern 'gifts'...on the left was a paper made one from Sun Sch which they made lanterns but Ian wasn't there but the teacher was kind enough to pass Ian a lantern some weeks back....then the doraemon one came some weeks back when po2 bought it for him while he 'camped' at Yishun....and the 3rd one was from ah maa who got it as a gift yesterday and passed to Ian...wonder why also...

actually po2 bought another one for Ian yest (coz 1 each for the grandchildren) which is in the shape of dragon....din bring that back coz Ian's play pen too full with lanterns already...so left it there for him to 'admire' when he stays over Yishun...and also the music is too loud for mama =) so 3 are enough...guess we dun need to get for Ian any lanterns since these should last for some gd yrs hahaa....well Ian had another doraemon lantern which po2 got it last yr...its still there except no music but mama actually pumped with air to recycle for the yr's mid autumn (assuming no more new lanterns)....coz these lanterns came as a surprise huh

Ian visits the Hort Park and Alexandra Arch

On a cloudy Sun noon, we headed to the much talkabt place - the Hort Park...saw a couple taking wedding shots there coz its their wedding day....quite a cool place to hold wedding actually...will explore the hort plants more another time and we headed towards 'embarking' the Alexandra Arch which would walk to the Henderson waves...din quite make it there coz we were taking turns to carry Ian (since we left the pram at home) and made a detour out to the TB Hill while daddy picked up the car (ie went back the whole track back)

But it was a gd time for mama to walk the TB hill with Ian while waiting for the car....coz fond memories of the place - had some team building activities at the shelter there before and mama used to walk the track with colleagues whenever we had those healthy lifestyle Sat morning walks....memories...memories....will be back better prepared to make the whole track since we know where to park and where to walk =) its a cool nature walk place (except Spore's weather is a little too humid tho!)

Ian goes Bird Park wo Mama!!!

Yup, its time for Godly Woman seminar and this Sat, the kids went for a happening excursion at the Bird Park....hhhmm coz Ian's been captivated by birds whenever we pass by those trees near our place so thot he would be excited to see the aviary full of birds...daddy went with ah ba, jiu2 and the 3 kids....Ian wasn't quite attracted by the birds...maybe he can't quite see them from afar...daddy said Ian's fav was the Hawk Show...coz he could clap along with the audience tho he din know why they were clapping hahaa....when they came upclose encounter with the birds, Ian was fast asleep in his pram (as usual coz so far we been to zoo and bird park a few times already and Ian never failed to zzzz in his comfy pram tho he was perspiring all over...dunno he's so tired or his pram is so comfy) and so here's a shot of daddy feeding the bird on 1 hand and the other hand protecting bird from 'attacking' the sleepy Ian hahaa...well mama was wishing if only she could be there...well we could go again when Ian's abit older and more appreciative of the birds

Ian goes Orchard!!!

On a Fri evening, we went Orchard for dinner...Wisma's Food Republic...hhm since we had Ian, we hardly dare to go the Orchard strip except last Christmas to see lighting and do some shopping but dun quite dare go the crowded places for dinner coz we find it a chore...but since mama's friend, HJ is back, we met up for dinner there....

Ian was cooperative tho he was eyeing on the 'feast' we got on the table and later mama succumbed to his request of some table food with his usual porridge, a SATAY....ya his 1st satay all thanks to Auntie HJ who made the suggestion and then Ian kept asking for it...hhmm he had a gd time with Auntie HJ and Carol as he was hi-fiving with both of them, even let Auntie Carol bring him ard walk walk after he was bored sitting for 2 hrs or so...

well well will see these 2 aunties some weeks later...but coz Auntie HJ is back from SH so its a milestone to take pic with her each time we meet up and just comparing the pics they have taken, it just show how much Ian has grown over the months Taken abt a yr ago when we met for lunch at Marina Square (so Ian was abt 6 mths old)

And this was at the Airport T3 this CNY so Ian was abt 1 yr old...so the 3 pics are taken 6 mths apart and can Ian was growing taller but the look is somewhat there, dun u agree?? That's what Auntie HJ said too =) but Auntie HJ, u look the same hehehe

Ian turns 1 and 1/2 yr old!!!

Yah time really flies...now we can say Ian's 1 and 1/2 yr old...it's a milestone to his 2 yr old mark (tho its known as terrible 2 as well sigh) and at this milestone, Ian has turned a 'blabber-boy'...tho Ian was talking quite abit previously but now it seems really some language we dun understand but he's sure talking....hhmm ah gong thinks its Hokkien hahaa coz he's been trying to 'teach' ian that language...well taped down some of the 'mono-conversations' he had(ie talking to himself) and here's a pic of Ian talking to his fav coaster....hhmm and sometimes he can rattle on for 5 mins or more...not sure if he ever will become a talkative boy but it just freaks mama to think Ian would be talking so much when he grows up hahaa...sometimes he talks to much mama can't even concentrate to hear the news on tv...hehee if mama asks him to keep quiet, then he would point dunno where and continue to talk somemore....so better keep mute...

Attending Uncle James and Auntie Rani's wedding

On the past Sat was a super long day for us....after breakfast we went home to prepare to attend Uncle James wedding lunch at M hotel...here's a shot of the wedded couple, it was the rare few times we ever sat on the VIP table (its Ian's 1st time tho) and here's wishing the couple a God-centred marriage

And here's a shot of Ian in his long sleeve shirt (1st time ever) to grace this formal wedding lunch event...well just glad Ian slept thru the solemnisation before the lunch as it was meant to be quiet in order for the pastor to convene the solemisation...and Ian woke up for his porridge lunch before the food were served...was super timely to feed this little boy before he 'covets' on the table food =)

Ian was fascinated by the pretty red roses on the table and then dayi brought him to the ones used to decorate the hall...while he was admiring the roses for a while...thereafter started plucking the petals of a rose in his hand

Here are the 3 little ones dressed nicely for the lunch together with 3 'bigger ones' carrying them dressing nicely as well for the event =) it was a nice time catching up since we had to sit on the VIP table for some hrs...well the next time these 3 kids would be dressed nicely again would be jiu2's and auntie lorraine's wedding...which is coming real soon...hhmm guess they would be dressed even prettier and handsome-r for the wedding since its the 1st ever immediate family's BIG DAY hehee we all getting geared up huh =) counting down too

And here's the tea ceremony for the newly wed....kindof memories for this wedding suite coz daddy and mama also stayed for a nite on their wedding day (thanks to ah ba and ah mu's gift) but we din take much shots that time (coz camera played us out) so here's a shot of memory and also Ian can collect more ang baos next yr from this new couple hehehe

well well as the whole event ended real late so decided to let the kids nap in the comfy car seats while we make our way to shopping time at Expo....kindof weird wearing so nicely to go for shopping spree but well we got some gd buys but just amazed how the long day went past esp with the kids coz they just had nap on the go....guess the more long days coming up again in Dec so this is kindof rehearsal?? Jiu2, auntie lorraine...dun mean to stress u both huh =) but we are getting excited hahahaa

Look what Ian's hugging to zzzz

Ya Ian's hugging his milk bottle to zzz....he has this habit of asking for the empty milk bottle after his milk feed so he can hug/hold it to zzz...always thot kids might have habit to hug soft toy or bolster to zzz but Ian's somewhat diff hahhaa...maybe he can dream of more milk in his dream land....well if only huh...then that explains why he can zzzz so long for his nap hheee endless milk 'buffet'

Ian's learning to self feed

For the past week, been waking Ian up from his long beauty noon nap and show him a bowl of cut plum with the blue fork then he would rub his eyes and start helping himself with the plums...guess its high time to let him self feed and he enjoys it...so its a perk to wake him up coz sometimes waking him up from zzz land can make him super grouchy hehee so this is a trick =)
