Ian with his new found FREEDOM!!!

Today being jiu2's guo dali so we headed to Yishun early the morning as mama has to be the 'mei po' for the day. So we headed to SAFRA Yishun for Ian to have some fun before napping at po2's place. This boy was so excited in the pool with his Pooh float that he happily wandered off in the wading pool as he found his portion of freedom in the pool...he could walk ard freely wo mama or daddy's help and he was actually singing as he waded...dunno if coz the radio was loud in the pool so he was 'dancing' with the music but he was really on his own....free and independent hhmm but still gotta watch this boy coz he went ard trying to gather 'new toys' which were others' property sigh....

Then we proceeded to po2's place to do what was tasked...po2 was pasting the 'xi' word on the cans of pork leg, and of course this little boy also wanted to help....and he did stick a few of the stickers on the can...hhmm little mei po's helper hahaa wanted to have a hand in the guo dali but he was disappointed when he was left at po2's place to nap while mama and daddy went off...well he's too young to tag along yah and besides he needs the nap for the afternoon league of fun...well well it was a fun guo dali as we learnt more abt Auntie Lorr's happening life and also visiting their new home...well as the guo dali is over, it meant the wedding day is drawing closer and the couple is busy with the wedding prep and hse reno....just can't wait for them to be less busy and have more time with the family...it will be over soon ya Jiu2 and future jiu-mu....hehee and we could drop by the east more often =)

We finally found Ian's sunglasses!!!

Since mths ago, Ian has this habit of trying to grab daddy's glasses (and he can grab it real fast) and we decided to get him his own sunglasses so he would not take daddy's instead be contented with his BLUE glasses....but we lost it some weeks ago and only found it recently as we were clearing our heap of newspaper to garung guni man....and here's the boy in his Sunday suit before going church and with his stylo mailo glasses....so glad we found the glasses so daddy's glasses can be spared =)

Is Ian on some advert??

Since Ian's been quite into mood to take photos these days so mama will take out the camera to capture 'nice' shots of Ian...here's a shot of him trying to fit into a biscuit box (which mama intended to recycle it to use to contain toys) but this boy flatened the box the moment he sat on it....and he posed for mama to take a pic...well well this is his fav biscuit for the moment, a packet is needed for him to sit thru some quiet moments while mama and daddy sit on the mezzanine floor every Sun for worship

And here's a shot mama wanted to capture this boy playing with his new handphone toy but instead he put down the phone and tilted his head for me to take him of his pose....hahaha what mama can say is 'BUAY TAHAN' well well but then again, how long would Ian be in such camera mood so better capture all the nice shots while we can =) before this boy cringes his face

Ian learns to sing his 1st song

And its the Happy bday song coz this past wkend we celebrated twice of Joy's bday (altho its the next Sat) Yesterday was at gong2 and po2's place when u see the kids excitedly gather ard the table....guess Ian has been standing excitedly ard the bday cake table some mths back (when it was his cousin's bday) but now that he's older, he learnt the song
So when we celebrated the 2nd time for Joy, he actually sang 'Happy B...., Happy B...." hahahaa and even knew when to blow the candles and this time he actually blew the 2 candles for Joy jie2 hhmm gd thing its Joy jie2 and she was ok with the candles blown...
Here is the pic of Ian clapping and humming excitedly at the sight of the bday cake...guess bdays are always an enjoyable and joyous occasion for kids...here's wishing Joy a really blessed 2nd bday and many God's blessings to be bestowed in your coming yr...hope Ian and Joy will get closer as they grow up since they have the benefit of just being 4mths+ apart in age

Ian got a new Pooh float

This sunny Sat morning, we visited the SAFRA pool with ah mu, ah baa and Seth & Joy and ah mu brought along a pooh float for Ian (as seth outgrew it) and this boy had a gd time with the float coz earlier he was gasping in the pool as the water got into his mouth, with the float he could cruise better in the pool, he was in fact humming while cruising in the pool by himself...see how happy he looked in the float...thanks Ah mu and Ah baa for the new 'gift'...now he can explore better in the water on his own

A sweet for you??

Ian has this habit of rummaging thru pple's bag...he did it to mama's bag and now has the habit of doing it to po2's bag so there was this day he found a pack of ricola sweets in po2's bag and went distributing sweets to mama and po2....he did it one nite when he stayed over po2's place which was in middle of the nite...po2 din want and asked him to zzz and this boy got 'angry' and threw the box away....hhmm perhaps he felt his 'GOOD will' was not appreciated?? ahhaa so the next time Ian gives u sth, better take it huh...this small boy has pride huh...but its also time to tell him not to force upon pple when someone says NO

Where is my shoe shoe??

Since Ian's been cruising ard, the word 'shoe' means a whole world to him now...he knows when we are going out, he must go wear his shoes...and when mama says shoe shoe he knows it means going out...but lately he can make request by taking his shoes to us (which means he wanna go out) aarrggh so no choice, we have to keep his shoes in the cabinet and he's not happy when we do that coz it means he can't go out....sigh also dunn whether to keep or not...guess its a whole new world with his boogie shoes on hahaa now he can walk the whole corridor and wave to mama that he's walking already...guess he can't wait for the day he can run the whole corridor on his own huh

Ian's enjoying his megablok play

Megablok was his 1 yr old bday present from ah mu and ah ba coz they found it gd for such small hands coz Seth has been playing for a long time even till now...and for the past mth or so, Ian's enjoying the stacking up of the megablok...see how tall he can stack now (altho with some help from mama coz he dun stack them firmly enough so mama helps to stack it firmer)

well this is quite an achievement for Ian coz he has been trying to build tall tower....he was real glad when he did this...he even clapped to applaud his little effort...well this toy was meant for 1+ but never expected Ian to enjoy the toy so soon coz initially he was just biting the bloks and then he moved on to trying to aim to stack them together and waaalah now he has grown to be able to stack them up....hhmm it is a gd progress to see how his little hands can come to play and best of all to SELF PLAY....ya sometimes he can enjoy stacking and humming his song away hehee while mama enjoys her own indulge of tv hehee anyway thanks ah mu for the introduction of this toy =)

Ian's 19 mth old already!

Well it seems the mth just passes so quickly then Ian's 19 mth old....now he's more active and ever and sure to pose better for pics...altho still not quite sure where he learnt this pose, most prob is from Seth gor2 coz this boy sure loves to imitate the older boy despite the many 'accidents' he has...guess its still a boy thing...to emulate someone who is of the same gender or perhaps he's the only older toddler ard....hhmm and now Ian loves to arrange things in straight line...like the animal sorter in the pic...this is his fav pastime to just arrange them in order...and sometimes the remote controls at home and our hps as well...hhmm guess this is a growing up stage huh

Besides growing in size, Ian's growing intectually and wanting independence...these days, it seems interesting how much Ian's understanding what we are saying, just give him some instructions and he can follow them...just amazes us...but it also helps when mama needs to disappear to do some chores...at least now Ian knows mama will be back and he knows what WAIT means...hhmm at the same time, he wanna do anything like an adult, from drinking from a cup (sometimes instead of from a straw) wanna hold his own cup, feed himself. and even eating the food we eat too..sometimes dunno whether its gd to let him do it coz it also means mess...guess this is part of growing up phase huh

Uncle Kenneth trying too hard??

yayayaaa just saw this pic from the facebook and immed wanted to blog it hehee...dun u think Uncle Kenneth trying real hard?? hehee this uncle never fails to come to 'greet' Ian each time we meet him.....during the dinner, he attempted to come and carry Ian away...and finally succeeded...someone from Kenneth's table said he tried giving Ian some red wine?? hhmm well and Uncle Ben's niece sang "over the rainbow" at the dinner for the newly wed and Uncle Kenneth came later to ask Ian to practise for his...hahaa what song can Ian sing?? hhmm well well Uncle Kenneth, when is the day huh?? Guess Uncle Kenneth would be gone soon to UK, have a gd trip and take care and see ya soon....in the meantime will miss the uncle who comes and disturb Ian (ooppsss) and mama also misses the times she went UK for hols haaaiiii

Ian's 1st visit to the Esplanade

On a sunny Sat, we went along with ah mu's family to Esplanade as Seth gor2 went for a play there...so the younger ones were loitering in the Esplanade...yah Ian had gd time walking and crawling ard the place....mama was just remiscing the times when she went for musical after musical at the Esplanade...till we were bored at the atrium there, we proceeded to the Roof Terrace and took some shots...here's the ah pek Ian who's covering his head to shelter from the sun...dunno who him this tho, we managed to capture it down...think he can just imitating daddy who was taking the shot, checking if its too bright...ahahaa

And here's a shot with daddy, trying to capture the Merlion...can u see it?? hehee yah those were the days when we were dating, we could go up there to have some gd view but in the evening lah...now we got a lamp post that is as bright as the sun hahaa....well it's a gd visit to the Esplanade, ah mu is jioing us to bring Ian for the play the next round...wonder if this boy can sit still there...hhmm then daddy can go with him and mama can go watch Abba musical?? hahaa dreaming huh

A slightly longer mid week for us!

Since Wed was a PH, so we took time to go out for some fresh air....coz Ian's getting more stable in his walks so we put on his shoes and went with Ah mu's family to the SBG, here's the excited Ian with his walking shoes...
While walking thru the garden, we saw this cute dog (that looks like the paint advert) and the owners allowed the kids to pat the dog as the dog loves kids...here's a shot of the kids patting the dog except that this poser Ian....tilted his head for a shot when we fished out the camera...sigh what can we say?? Even the owner was laughing at Ian...gd thing ah mu captured this poser shot...whose genes issit again??

It was nice meeting up with Uncle YM and Auntie Denise after so so long...here's a nice shot taken...looks like some happy family shot huh hehee not bad Ian's quite pally with them after some time of warm up (or rather a long time tho) and was high-5-ing with them at the end of the gathering...Ian gotten more familiar with them...guess the last time we met them was some 6 mths ago and they commented how Ian has grown in height and weight too hehee...they are gd gauge for Ian's growth since we meet up every few mths....some day will take the pics they took and compare Ian's growth hehee...interesting to capture such shots...well well never fail to ask abt their B plan again hahaa

Yah on Thur, daddy took lve coz his gd fren, Uncle Ben was finally getting married hahaa..for those who know him will know why mama used the word FINALLY...anyway Ian was taking his nap when we arrived at Regent Hotel and nice of Uncle Ben to offer the room for ian to nap but this boy started playing in the room, here's a shot of him playing ard in the lobby while daddy was busy finalising the details for the wedding dinner...Ian was talking so much in the lobby to tourists till they asked if he was talking French hahaa...as if huh...then we waited for daddy to finish his work...well daddy never fails in helping pple...and there goes our plan to shop at the downtown and mama had to 'entertain' the whole day hmmm

Actually this is the 1st time we are attending wedding dinner since Ian's been delivered coz so far it has been quite fortunate that we have been invited for wedding lunches and church weddings so it has never tested Ian's eyelids for the nite...coz this boy zzz before 10pm so that day we stretched his nap time and nite sleep so that we could stay the possible max time for the dinner...so here's Ian stoning on Uncle Kenneth...well well guess its practice for jiu2's wedding that is coming up so he can stretch till dinner is over...
