Squatting is the IN thing for Ian??

Ian's been gd at squatting even at a young age (as most of us would recall) and now that he can walk....when he feels like shopping mood, you would see him zoom ard the shop on his own but when u ask him to follow him, either he would wanna hold ur hand or he would just squat on the floor asking u to carry....sigh he's into the squatting game and if u still dun carry, he would just sit on the floor....dun think he's tired or what coz there were few occasions we still walked off after he sat down, soon he realised he's alone and he would pick himself up and walk on...sigh so if ever u see some kid squatting or sitting on the floor...check if its Ian...dunno how to make him walk on his own...guess it will take time huh....

Ian mastered going down the slide

Yes, the day came when mama felt the 'mood' of bringing Ian down 1 fine morning...heeding ah mu's advice to bring down a cloth to clean the slides...but it was so dry that no cleaning was needed....look at how happy the boy is at the playground....
Guess 1 of the 'skill' Ian picked up at such a late age was to learn to slide down...coz of his few times visit to the playground which had wet slides...well it only took a few tries down the slide and he was going down 'wheeee' hhmm wonder how he knew that was the word to use when u go down the slide...maybe it was a natural instinct???

Ya he tried all slides (coz it was a multi-slides playground) and he even did the twirl-ly one...only that mama din like carry him up and when he slide down happily, he gave the 'again' look...sigh so mama decided to lve soon as it was getting crowded (and mama dun like small talks hehe) so of coz when mama said 'Go Home', this boy was most reluctant...so mama carried him off a distance only to have him wanting to walk....and guess what...he made his own way back to the playground....he din even check if mama was with him....mama hid behind some pillar and this boy was still enjoying everybit of the playground....finally left after a while and din want to go home...insisting on more fun...sigh guess dunno when this mood of bringing Ian to playground will come again =p

Ouch! Ian went for his last booster jab

The last booster jab was supp to be taken @ 18 mth but it has been postponed coz of busy wkends and also Ian's lingering cough...here's a relaxed shot of Ian waiting outside the clinic...he was busy pacing up and down the corridor coz it was a long wait...never did he know what he was into hhmm
here's a CONTRASTING shot of him taking it at 20mth old when he is so so aware of the surrounding....tho he was alright with Dr Phang at the beginning when the usual check was done....he was even 'thrilled' with the sweets given by the doc...only when the alcohol swap was wiped on his arm, then Ian knew sth was not right...he was crying before he was given the jab but was alright after the swift jab into his arm....he was quick to say BYE to the doc as it meant away from the painful place hehee

well after much consideration, we shld head back soon for the chicken pox vaccine as the doc recommended for young kids to take esp when taking care of them might be tough and eventually they go sch, they can't afford to miss sch...so v much convinced by this trusted PD of ours...till then, we shall meet again =) mama with her cynical smile in the pic

We are in CHRISTMAS-ty mood already

We went to Tanglin Mall for dinner and was abt to wait for the Snow and Avalanche fun then realised its gonna be real wet so decided to come back another day when we are better prep with raincoats and all....so we took pics ard the place and had some time admiring the christmas tree since its not quite advisable to have it at home with little kids hhmm
Then Seth was quite sweet to say he wanna take pics with Ian and this Ian went up saying Cheese to take pics with the 2 cousins....well guess Ian just enjoys playing with the big gor2 as he was 'chasing' Seth in the shopping mall and doing whatever the older boy was doing...earlier the 3 kids went for a haircut together....to prep for jiu2's wedding =) thinking the 2 younger ones would be ok after observing Seth having his hair cut but but but it din do as we thot...they screamed out their lungs when the hairstylist touched their hair...sigh...guess need to go for hair cut more often so they will not have the phobia....anyway at least done with a simple trim to prep for the BIG day as well as CNY lah huh...too much a drama to go thru again

The day Ian was in the mood to say CHEESE

Ya mama will take pics of Ian once in a while (or quite regularly) and there was this day, Ian was so in the mood to take pics that he came beside mama and said cheese while mama was taking pics and ended up taking alot coz this boy was non-stop saying cheese
He even sticked his cheek beside mama's and posed while we took pics...well we did end up taking quite abit...well these are the moments when its just so enjoyable to take pics with a boy who is so so keen to take photos...dunno whether its training him to be vain or what hehee

And here's a pic Ian took of himself coz thereafter he was imitating mama and went ard with the hp and taking pics and thot this pic was not too bad tho not quite focused...but at least could see his face and smile...enjoy taking pics then, Ian

Ian's 1st visit to the home's playground

Ya the day finally came when mama decided to bring Ian to the playground after much procrastination coz Ian couldn't wait patiently at home for daddy to bring us out for dinner so decided to bring him downstairs for a walk while passing time...but the afternoon rain made the slides really wet and this boy was really attempting all means to play the new 'toy-land' so he climbed on the drier area and started making funny faces at mama
Here's the boy trying to attempt coming down the slide...of course to be stopped by mama coz it was WET WET WET!!!! Actually this is the 2nd time Ian visited the playground coz the 1st time daddy brought him there it was wet too but daddy din allow him to play and brought him away....he was screaming his lungs away (according to daddy) and mama was home so daddy asked if mama could hear him screaming which means he must have screamed really loud sigh...guess all kids love playground huh....the next time mama will learn from ah mu and bring a cloth along to clean the playground....so Ian could enjoy and also to benefit other neighbouring kids lah =) see when mama's in playground mood again hahahaa

Ian's 1st try on the yogurt

Mama has been wanting to feed Ian with yogurt so as to improve his digestive system and since po2 just gave us some so mama tried this new food with Ian...hhmm it has been some time since Ian tried new food and 1st look, he was like shaking his head saying no but after looking at mama taking it a few mouthful 'yummily', how can this food lover boy ever resist trying it and after taking a few mouthful he was like loving it....hhmm guess he is quite a keen new food 'tryer' but most imptly, really hope it will help his digestive system....guess the next time he sees such small container of yogurt he would be more excited =) here's Ian posing cheese with the yogurt but was also busily holding his toy knife too

Big baby or small baby???

This week, Ian chanced upon a new bib that was nicely kept in his playpen and started playing with it...keep asking mama to wear it for him coz he finds it funny with an extra cloth round his neck....hhmm Ian din quite use bib for his 'baby-hood' coz he din drool when he was teething and he wasn't given too wet food (hahaaa coz mama dun like all the mess) so it looks quite weird with him asking to wear bib these days....well well guess he was just deprived of it...sorry pic is abit blur coz these days hard to ask him to stay still (except for moments he would love to pose Cheese for mama to take a pic)

Ian's 20 mths and....

he loves doing puzzles....ya this is a fit-it-in puzzle which mama din want to open for him to play as the advised age was 3+ and after much bugging coz Ian tried to tear open it and so just let him play with it....initially he just learnt to hold the puzzle....and then slowly matching the correct animal into the correct slot....and then getting the puzzle fixed into the correct position and this past week, he has mastered doing the puzzle really well...mama just wonder if the advised age is correct....guess never underestimate what a kid can do huh...and with practice they can make it! so still contemplating whether to bring out more complicated toys for Ian to try out hahaa...well it just amazes us how fast the kid is growing and perhaps soon mama would say 'Stop growing' coz it means we are getting old too

It's an animal adventure wkend!!!

We started off visiting the botanical gardens on Fri evening, after a yummy dinner at the food court at SBG, we headed for a cool walk in the unusually quiet park and Ian was excited to see the fish pond, he went so near the edge we were abit worried he might fall into the pond, but he sat at the edge and pointed at the fishes...it was a nice evening walk in the park coz we din expect it to be that quiet on a Fri evening

On the seemingly bright and sunny Sat morning, ah mu jio us to visit the Hay Dairies goat farm, though its Ian's 3rd visit (once when he was still a baby and another visit some mths back) mama thot its gd for this boy who seemed keen in animals (from the last zoo visit) and now that he can walk on his own it should interest him...true enough, he was busily feeding the goats and din mind the goats coming so close to him...while he was trying to get more feed for the goats, he din notice the goats were all over him (chewing on his hair, on his cloth fabric and checking out his fingers) but this boy just enjoyed them, he even pat them and pull their ears...see this pic of him 'talking' to the goats hahaa guess he knew it was harmless...hhmm only to goats huh, Ian....be careful of other animals which are not as gentle...

actually mama 1st went to the goat farm some yrs back on a coy's family day, hhmm never expect would enjoy as much today coz in the past, we just enjoyed the time out of office and have fun with colleagues...guess the lifestyle changed somehow over the yrs huh

then we went to Qianhu fish farm and were definitely surprised by the whole array of fish they have, no wonder they are public listed coy huh....ya, we went for turtle and koi feeding for the kids...no much thrill feeding the turtle coz they move slowly...

unlike the koi which all swarmed towards us coz we were the only ones feeding them...and they swim real fast....guess we shld be back for more activities next time as there are still longkang fishing and mama's keen on the fish spa (which is cheaper than those at those reflexlogy shops downtown) maybe could be back for some family outing there =)

just realised there's this boy with green tee loitering behind the pics mama took...hehee its Seth gor2 and guess he's the most active kid now (of all the 3) and wasn't just contented feeding the fish...hheee guess when all 3 kids are bigger, they could try the longkang fishing together

DAD....DY!!!

These recent weeks, Ian has learnt to call daddy....hhmm usually pple say they will call papa 1st but well Ian has learnt to call mummy before daddy...maybe coz daddy harder to pronounce?? hehe anyway this past week he will wake up in the morning/nap and ask 'Daddy, where??' hhmm this boy really misses the fun time with his daddy...no matter how mama tells him that daddy is at work, he would ask mama to hold his hand and walk into the rooms to call 'DAD...DY!!!' as if our hse is so so big....guess he thot daddy is playing hide and seek with him(which daddy does it sometimes) and here's a pose of Ian saying Cheese...taught by his dearest daddy....so if u ever see Ian posing cheese with 2 fingers poking his cheeks, pls rem its NOT taught by his mummy hehee...well just glad to see he's getting so much closer to daddy each day

On a see-saw with daddy

Yesterday, mama dropped by ah mu's place to pass sth to seth gor2 while daddy brought Ian to their place playground and when mama came down, she was surprised Ian was sitting the see saw with daddy....hhmm guess gone were the days when we sat on those wooden kind of see saw and these days there's this springy kind which could support any adult's weight...was quite a cute scene and so mama decided to capture this shot down...now with Ian walking on his own, guess the playground days shld be near =)

Ian's way of eating bread

When Ian 1st started taking bread, mama actually ate the corners of the bread before giving Ian the white portion of the bread....coz we usually think that is the best part of the bread...but recently, we observed Ian's been eating the corner of the bread 1st before feasting on the white portion...wonder where he learnt this or perhaps he's enjoying the corner portion more than the white one...how interesting!

A different PH...

On the deepavali PH, we spent it in the North...it was Ian's 3rd time to the zoo but this time was diff coz he was walking on his own already....or rather dashing on his own...yes, at some pt of time he din want to go where we were going and dashed to see what he wanted to see...dunno whether its a gd thing he din walk earlier so he could be strapped to the pram
And this time, we went to feed the giraffe (ah mu paid for the plate of feed) and Ian was most thrilled by it...mama was afraid he might consider to eat the carrot instead of feeding so held him up....he was thrilled by the whole experience as the giraffe came quite close to his little fingers...in fact the tongue of the giraffe touched his fingers hehee..so better have a quick wash by the sink nearby...we sure would be back to zoo for more since Ian's enjoying it more than ever and perhaps he could be stretched longer for his nap the next time since he woke up real early that morning

Usually after zoo, we would rush home for Ian's nap but that day, we went to po2's and gong2's place which was nearby for our lunch....it was yummy home cooked food and the kids enjoyed them (both for lunch and dinner) and the 3 kids napped there as well...it was a whole diff experience having the 3 kids napping there together as usually Ian would nap on days po2 have him back there for 'camping' and gong2 came back late and gave the kids an indulgent fruit party...yeah it was durian party, the 3 kids' eyes just lit when they saw and smelt it...Ian was in fact wearing his shoes (perhaps thinking of going out to walk) but when mama showed him the durian, his immediate reaction was to throw his shoes and went for durian instead....see how irresistable the durian is to him...hhm it was a fun PH spent at the north with the extended family!
