The HOT weather is here....

but it may mean gd news to the kids....for the past nites when we were feeling warm in the nite, we might complain the hot weather is intolerable but to think of the flip side, it might mean more fun for the kids since the hot weather we could go out for more outdoor fun....so we finally made our way to SAFRA mt faber after a noon nap and its been a much mentioned activity with ah mu coz the kids love the pool....and finally we made our way by bus to the pool....
Here's Ian sitting in the bus and checking out for Seth gor2 and Joy jie2 and was hoping to share biscuits with them....
Here's the 3 kids with their pool fun and they just love being in water with their little watering cans watering whatever 'plant' they can imagine in the pool hheee

What can keep the 3 kids quiet while the mummies bath?? BISCUITS!!! Here's the little biscuit picnic in the shower room with their water bottles in hands as well...yummy gulp gulp!
It was a gd Fri noon...with daddy coming to pick us up for dinner so the hungry kids do not need to wait too long for their nice dinner....we have been going Waraku Jap restaurant coz we found out they have gift for their kids meals....and esp the outlet at East Coast which is more children friendly

Check out the 'door gift' the kids had for the dinner....and hahaa dun they look funny in their lighted nose glasses and moustache?? hehee this will be how Ian look like if ever he wears glasses and has mostache eee.....well its a gd start of the weekend fun =) well with the hot weather ard, we shld hit the pool more often since the place is quite accessible for us!

Till the last biscuit....

will Ian give up....last week daddy brought back an interesting pack of biscuit...coz its ocean creatures biscuits....filled with biscuit in the shape of fish, squid, starfish and the past Mon, Ian was asking daddy to bring him out (for work we supp coz he said bye to mummy) so we used this biscuit for him to stay home....he was real fascinated by the shapes of the biscuits coz he was eating each and saying 'fish, star, squid' and mama kept asking him for one so he won't be finishing the biscuit alone...left the last piece and mama capture the video of how this little boy tried to dig to get that biscuit and he was relentlessly trying to 'fish' it out no matter how many 'can mama help u' coz he just wanna perservere and get that piece out hahaa...quite funny

What a sunny Sat morning!

Whenever there is bright sunshine in the morning, we thank God for that coz it means the kids can be out in the sun and exploring new things...this morning, we went to SBG Jacob Ballas Children's garden not to play the sand or the wet area....but we were there to explore the nature and it was a hot but yet enjoyable time for the kids....

Here are the cranking machines for them to work before the energy could be changed into mist or light....the kids just love turning the machines to see the effect...

Here are some puzzles for the kids to know some of the fav fruit, insects etc....
Here's a thrilled Ian by the touch-me-not and he was 'ouch' whenever the leaves curled in....that's why the name is that =)here is Ian with dayi in the bush maze....finding the way out of the maze!

here are the kids checking out the musical instruments made of the wood....they had fun making 'music' together

Here's a nice nature walk with the trees....a shady place away from the scorching sunshine

We are here under the manmade waterfall....guess no natural waterfall so we could make do with this....cooling place coz of the water

Finally we stopped by the cafe for the kids and us adults to replenish with water intake coz it was just so so hot....but we are glad the sun came out otherwise we won't be able to explore this other part of the garden and check out new things esp with the kids!

Ian's riding a bike!

For some time we got this pass down bike from ah mu (which is locked in our storeroom outside our hse ahhaa) and mama din dare bring it out for Ian to play coz its those that need mama to push...somewhat like a pram and was worried this memory superb boy will bug me day and nite to play the bike....so last wkend we had a chance for the 3 kids to play bike...so mama brought it to exchange for a bike which Ian was playing so well on

It was another pass down bike to Joy jie2.....but asking to ride on it for a while, this boy just refused to come down and return to jie2 and so we ended up exchanging the bike which mama has kept for some gd mths

On a boring Tue afternoon, mama brought this exchanged bike for Ian to play along the corridor...he seemed to enjoy it more when the 3 kids were playing on their bikes....for now, he was busy checking out the corners of the corridor....but was quite surprised this boy could manoveur the bike quite well....turning to the other direction he needs to turn....well this could be a sport along the corridor for the moment while mama relaxes at some corner hehee

Thanks ah mu for the pass down bike so Ian can have his fun even just outside the house =)

What a GLORIOUS mon!

Yeah coz our God is risen indeed.....today, daddy's on lve coz he had a busy wkend so its time for family time....Ian was most pleased to see daddy's still in bed today coz there's no boring Mon hahaa...so we headed to Sentosa after a nice bf (coz wkday is usually not packed with pple like wkends, the coffee auntie even offered a nice cup for Ian to sip his milo which we hardly see such 'offers') and Ian was happy with his beach set...here's the daddy and son digging into the sand with a nice view behind....it was such glorious weather to be out in the sun....hardly anyone was on the beach as we were quite early =)Here's asking Ian to pretend that was his bday cake hahaa and this boy was surely trying v hard to blow...maybe we could make do with such pretend bday cake and candle in future =) save cost mah =) anw its the family time that matters....no cake can compare with our family time =)

Then we walk along the strip and went for the close encounters with the animals....Ian loved watching the birds, he was pointing at the lorries he could see and even said Bye when we were going off...

Then we were checking out the area coz there is a sentosa amphi....there's actually animal show in the noon...we will be back someday to check it out....at the time being, it was upclose personal view of the peacock....as Ian was pretty thrilled with the sound the peacock was making so he wanted to come close to it but yet asking him to stand alone while mama capture the shot he vigorously shook his head....as if he knew the peacock gonna peck him hahaaa

Then we started wandering ard....still thinking of the Luge ride...dunno if Ian will play us out on the chairlift....we almost applied the Luge license card coz it means cheaper ride but guess not today coz Ian din seem to be in his best form and perhaps waiting some mths later might be better when he's more game and having him in Luge will be FOC....we shall be back...at the time being here's a shot captured with Oscar....see how Ian is holding tightly to the pole...thot he wont allow daddy to place him right inside for a shot...coz he doesn't like standing on ground off where we are standing...well he proved mama wrong....guess we cant watch Song of the Sea yet since they are only avail at nite so a shot will do....here's the fish with 2 front teeth =)

We actually took the train out for lunch at Vivo coz some wks back we chanced upon this bright idea of taking train out inside of parking at vivo coz its cheaper =) and Ian's keen to take the train so we had a gd Ramen lunch and headed back...here's the sleepy but yet high Ian laughing his way on the beach tram trying to pull off his cup straw and splashing water at mama....hhmm it was a nice relaxing morning out as a family coz hardly much crowd since its a weekday! Just love such times
in the noon, we brought the kids out to the SAFRA pool for some water fun since we din make it during wkend (coz when we arrived the pool it started its thundery rain) so here's the 3 kids with their float ready for the water fun=)

After dropping the cousins, we headed to ABC market for dinner...here's Ian holding the Avocado drink holding so dear to it....he was enjoying the new drink after his dinner....it was so long time since we visited the place coz we recalled the time when we brought Ian there was when he was a real small baby....sleeping in the pram while we were feasting away hahaaa how time flies and this time we were busy-ing with a busy toddler wanting to feed himself and hold his own cup...hope he doesn't break anything =p

Happy Easter!

This day meant alot to us....Two easters ago, Ian was still a baby and had his confirmation done during the Easter service so as today we saw the baby being confirmed....it seemed so close to our heart of our boy being baptised and remembering we as parents are to bring him up in God's teaching and guide him to be the person God has called him to be....on this Easter, he received 4 easter Kinder eggs from Uncle Kenneth who is so nice to rem this boy when he was in Deutscheland.....well here's the boy enjoying his chocolate and the little 'surprise' in each egg.....well gonna keep the rest and just give him the toy =) coz too much choc is not gd for the boy yet hhhmm

And Ian got a real egg from church refreshment as it is a must have thing every Easter coz it symbolises the newness of life....so last yr mama took a pic of him with the egg and this yr, he is peeling the egg on his own...we are sure he has grown over the yr, learning to be more independent and yet still have the love for egg....here's the clip and see how neatly he's keeping his 'mess' coz mama instructed him to only have the shell on the paper boundary given hehee...but he's sure using his every bit of peeling before he can enjoy the egg

Hope you all had a blessed Easter and we are having an extended Easter break coz daddy is on lve tmr as he is needed for church dinner tonite so more family time is needed on a Mon =)

Good Fri.....

Weather was gd in the morning....gd thing we had ah mu's family to ride on for the morning otherwise it would be seem boring as daddy was AGAIN needed in church.....sigh endless duties needed in church and just made the wkend seem shorter....Ian was happily roaming ard the Marina Barrage tho he was abit fearful of the fountains....he was a little lost at the juncture of the fountains and was soon back to his self when he saw the watering can brought by ah mu....it was just nice seeing the kids playing with the water and having fun with the BIG space which allows them to explore....after their nap, we went to shao mu and it was Ian's 1st visit to chor2 and tai gong's tombs....the kids were kindof thrilled having to succumb all 'barriers' to pay respect with flowers before the heavy downpour came

We had a nice early dinner at Pu Tien at Vivo....the usual reluctant walker Ian was walking all the way with dayi....thank dayi for motivating Ian to walk from harbourfront to vivo and then back again....guess it's the 1st ever record he made walking so much in a shopping trip

The kids came by their fav Hi-5 mobile ride and they have always been contented just sitting on it but gong2 thot it would be gd to have the machine moving...sigh and Ian was indicating the coin slot portion coz he sat on it too often to notice it....here's the video taken of the 3 kids enjoying the ride....and its all their fav cartoon programme just that recently the time slot has been changed so kindof out of their routine....well well so the kiddie ride to make up for the missed episodes?? Well ah mu has ever told Seth that we would take such rides only when Ian's bigger (coz those days he was just a baby when we 1st chanced upon it) and we were glad there were 3 seats so the 3 kids can be contented with their seat....guess over time, we realised it's kindof waste of $$ to spend on these rides so we never ever let them sit on it moving...tho there was once some parents wanted their kids to sit and Ian got a free ride on....so here's finally a chance when the 3 kids are seen on the ride....gd thing we only have 3 kids at the moment in the family ya....otherwise the rest can stand at the pole stands hahaaa well well enjoy huh!

Ian turns 25 mths old!

Surprisingly, this past 1 mth seems so long....it seems like Ian has grown quite abit in this past 1 mth....now he's more independent, he can be left to play on his own and even left in the care of others (eg Sun Sch) and often or not, seen loitering during shopping trips....hhhmm often he's the one doing shopping...there was once we were in a Nike shop checking out shoes for him and there was a pair we were keen but it wasn't his size, he insisted taking off his shoes and wearing that pair...the salesgirl was at the corner laughing at this boy coz he placed his own old shoes on the rack....insisting to wear the new pair...since then, we never dared to bring him to enter shoe shop coz it always end up having to pull him out from the shop

He's also a little helper these days...every morning he will help mama to pull the comforter and make the bed when we wake up....he will even fuss if mama did the bed wo his help sigh and he has to throw his own diaper...there was once mama threw away and he fussed for so so long....guess he's old enough to do some bit of these household chores....he most wilingly will help u coz he knows there is a thank you word as a reward....and he will point to where mama is supposed to keep some things coz he rem where they were kept....

we thank God as Ian is never a fussy eater....except for carrots, pumpkin, potatoes...he's fine with any food he even took a pc of raw salmon when we visited a Jap restaurant this mth....he seemed fine except for his infrequent pooing so we gather its due to his molar not fully grown yet...he enjoys feeding himself and from the clip, he's getting better at feeding himself as the mess gets lesser hehee...we just wonder if he's gonna be left or right handed coz he seems to be able to use both hands to feed....well guess a little of genes from both parents huh

We are often awed by his memory power....he can rem things quite well....even aft a night's sleep, he can recall the things that happened the previous nite....and lately he has been singing a fish song taught by his jiu-mu that goes something like 'all the fishes in the water, swimming in the water, bubble and splash!' he just loves the part to say bubble and splash! He can sing before he sleeps and when he's in the car....he is just amused by the song....and for places we have been before, he would instruct us how to go and turn to get to the place and even anticipate what activity he was gonna do....just wondering how to tap on his memory power

He's also quite gd with his balancing as we would recall he would be able to squat on his legs for a gd long time when he was real young...barely evening walking yet...and now he loves to try thrilling balancing acts in playground...at home, he loves to stand on daddy's back on the bed...and then falling off and bouncing on the bed....he also loves falling back on the sofa....guess he's just active on his own...lately he has learnt to run so we are getting more careful esp when he doesn't like to hold our hands and walk....well he still fusses abt walking sometimes and we are learning to not to give in but surprisingly he only makes requests to us coz recently we were out with dayi and he was fine to walk with dayi as he was told to walk on his own and so we guess he might be just be more ok to walk with pple he dun hold hands with so often...the other person he loves to hold hand with is Seth gor2....he will want to follow where this boy boy is going

We are just glad this boy is growing well and he's happy with his childhood as often in this comparison obsessed society....pple are asking why dun send him to classes when we think ought to be enjoying his childhood and these classes can wait...recently read a book on Parenting: from surviving to thriving...its a reminder that this child is specially wrapped for us...indeed we wanna thank God for this special bundle of joy...tho it can be tough to discipline him, we know we are doing this so that he can be better shaped for God's use....

Celebrate mama's bday!

after 2 rounds of celebrating mama's bday, Ian's wondering what daddy is talking abt when he woke up in the morning and heard daddy saying...its mama's bday and this boy sure goes on to sing the bday song hahaa...here's a 'special' bfast but he sure loves the milk more than the muffin
was kindof pai seh coz he saw a bday celebration room at the macs and insisted on having balloons coz he saw some pictures on the window...so mama had no choice but to ask for a balloon for this boy...sigh he has never been a balloon freak but he was sure happy for a moment after having his balloon....he was 'parading' ard for a while....but thereafter mama had to carry it...wonder who's bday issit!

Then he went for a carriage ride...ya 1 of those that's 20cents so mama agreed but quite a gd deal coz another kid could actually sit on the carriage but there was no kid ard in the vicinity coz we were out super early...even the macs auntie was asking why he woke up so early...coz it means more work for mama hahahaa...as if he cares!! hhmm
Then we went for the zoo again....coz the last time it was bad weather and Ian din play long at the kidzworld rainforest....but this time the wet play area is closed...sigh guess we will be back for the 3rd time....but weather was cooling...we did qiong quite abit before the boy zzzz...here's the shot he always request to take with the cow...then mama realised there is no real cow in the zoo to show him...fake one will do huh

Here we are at the fight back rainforest show...this time Ian enjoyed more than he did on his bday coz he was clapping along with the rhythm...guess his 'music' sense kicked in already hahaa...and he was 'wowing' at all the animals that crawled past us! It was super crowded on a wkday!

Here we are the splash amphi which we never did watch for the umpteen times that we came the zoo...but we realised the sealion is in the show so it was more entertaining than the earlier show...hhmm somehow missed those animal shows that were featured in the past...used to be more entertaining...well the kids animal show is suspended so we din watch it coz mama and daddy used it watch it when daddy's coy had family day there and we rem it was entertaining with running dogs ard...well so we only managed to catch 2 shows

And we proceeded to the kidzworld for Ian to see the small animals....and he was quite thrilled to see the horses, goats.....guinea pigs, rabbits, white mices, snake....guess he was a gd boy that day coz mama rem to give him instruction to walk or sit in the pram when he was tired...no carrying and he really obeyed....well so we had a gd time cruising the whole place....

It was kindof nostalgic to see the horse ride...guess most of us took such rides when we were small....Ian's abit too small to take the ride tho he did ask to go and see....guess we could take when he's older....then soon he fell asleep and we had some chill off time at the KFC...

Then drizzle came along so we went for IMM's indoor playground....but it was partial closed (for those of us who go there quite often for kids to play) so was kindof sad Ian couldn't try all the climbing but glad he overcame his fear of sliding....coz he was not into sliding for past few wks or mths...guess coz he took some bad slide experience...but we can't rem where...so he was back to his whee slide again

here's the firehouse to celeb mama's bday.....well we went Swensens and Ian had his kid's mini beef burger which he enjoyed so much....guess it was worth it for the price and they came with a cup of corn and it turned out that Ian loved the steamed corn...so mama could do this snack for him some days....he was enjoying the ice cream after the lunch....he was most keen to blow the candle out...nice to have such complimentary ice cream on bday huh =)
then we proceeded to SAFRA to swim since the sky cleared and Ian had a gd time in the water (as usual)....wonder if its his bday or mama's coz all activities were surrounded ard him....except for dinner coz mama's been wanting to go the Pernakan restaurant at the Keppel club so we headed there and for a long while, we seemed like we booked the whole restaurant coz there were hardly anyone coz we were early....Ian enjoyed his yummy food tremendously...he was eating so well....guess the chap chye was ok for him coz he couldn't take the beef rendang!

Then came the highlight of the day....DURIAN PENGGAT!!! Mama's fav and turned out that Ian loved it too...the last time we went there, Ian was scooping up from mama's bowl.....so this time we apportioned it out for Ian....he was taking it so fast, he shoved his bowl over to mama to ask for mama....guess he has mama's genes to love durian huh.....guess we could dabao next time coz we came specially for this hahaa...well it was a really nice day to spend with our family....guess we couldn't ask for more....it has been a string of celeb bday months for us....happens all our bdays are in the beginning of the yr...so gotta wait a long while before Ian could blow more candles....but it was a nice surprise with daddy getting an egg tart (as a bday cake) to celeb with mama early in the morning....

Ian's 1st 'coin machine' toy

Dunno if that's the name for those machines which u could get a toy after inserting a coin....but well there are plenty these days and Ian's always fascinated by these machines so 1 of our fav hangout place is Marina Square food court coz there's high chair, a wide variety of food and best of all, the machines could keep Ian entertained while we get the food...so for many weeks he's been contented just trying every knob at the machines....today, we had lunch with Uncle Ben and just moments after sitting down, we saw Ian wandering to the machines and only to see Uncle Ben frantically looking ard and soon we saw them coming back smiling happily...so mama din capture the shot of them turning the knob
Ian was sure exhilarated when he got his 1st toy (which he said came in a shape of an egg hahaa) and it was a Happy Turtle (ya that is the name of the machine) and he was actually kissing the turtle when mama 1st helped him 'crack' the egg....hhmm guess how happy he was with the little toy...guess that made his day!

He then had the turtle back into the shell and he put it back into the slot and hoping to turn more out....hahaa he din know how it worked coz he most prob din see Uncle Ben insert the coin...well well our 1st reaction was 'spoil market' coz we never 'pamper' Ian with such toys hahaa coz we will always come by such machines and it would be real tough to tell him NO if we ever got him before...so well Uncle Ben can be the machine 'angel' guess that's prob the 1 and only toy Ian's ever gonna get....but a side note, being there so many times we have seen countless parents giving their kids coins to get a coin....well wonder if that is pamper or what....for the time being, it will always be a turning knob gadget for Ian =) wonder what he would ask for the next time we are there hhmm

An advance bday celebration for mama

After the kids' nap, we headed to SAFRA Yishun as it was raining at the central part of Spore and called po2 to make sure the rain has left the north....it always bring so much cheer to the kids to hit the pool...here are the 3 kids pouring endless water on daddy....they just love the watering part....poor daddy coz he was the only 'adult' in the pool to watch over the 3 little ones
then daddy brought Ian to try the slide down....looks interesting from afar....guess the kids had so much fun in the pool it was kindof tough to get them to shower to go po2's place for dinner

After the yummy home cooked food by po2....we gathered for a little bday celeb for mama....just like this pic coz it looks like we got a little addition to our family....well the bday celeb just brings so much joy to the kids...even Joy was sure it was Ian's bday more than mama's hahahaa....maybe coz he was the one blowing hard at the candle!
And also the one who enjoyed the cake cutting....it was tough to get the knife off from him since its his 'fav' to cut things....so here he is cutting his own portion of the cake =) Ian, ur bday just passed...gotta wait a long time more....it's just so much fun and laughter to gather ard as a family

We have been the southern most part of Singapore!

Yeah this morning weather was gd after bf so we headed to Sentosa....thanks to Maybank card we have been going in foc....so here's Ian waiting for the beach tram....wonder why he insisted to wear his cap out today...was useful to shade from the sun
Here's the daddy and son on the beach tram...well the ride was too gd, Ian was sleepy after all the 'rocking' and when we reached the southern most part of the island, he din wanna walk on his own so daddy carried him across and sat at the bottom of the tower to enjoy the view

But after cajoling by Seth gor2, both were walking hand in hand across the bridge....Ian was enjoying the suspension bridge that he attempted to run...till gor2 said 'Not so fast' so he slowed down with the addition of Joy jie2....well guess now he's enjoying his walk....he just loves walking with gor2...gd to have 'motivator' for the little one to walk

They managed to cross the 'swaying' bridge and here's a shot of the 3 kids and the BIG one hehee

The rest of the time, we were on the comfy train ride coz weather looks gloomy....here's the Iong family with a family shot!

Here's Ian checking out the places of attraction on the train and he was fascinated by the moving of the train....

so much that he was soon running ard the train cabin with the 2 cousins...this is something he has always wanted to do on train coz we have our usual train ride on Wed when mama brings Ian to po2's place and he always ask to come down from his seat to walk....but never succeeded coz mama too worried he can't balance but this train isn't as wobbly as the MRT one...so he was gd in balancing himself on the train ride...except wonder how mama gonna convince him not to walk on MRT next wed hhmm...it was a gd time out to the Sentosa but mama still keen to try luge with Ian 1 fine day =) well we will be back!
