Happy Birthday, Auntie Lorraine!

Have a blessed birthday, Auntie Lorraine! Of late, Ian has been asking of Auntie Lorraine once in a while out of the blue...yes, Ian knows how to call AUNTIE LORRAINE! Though still teaching him that Auntie Lorraine is also jiu-mu hehhee....Auntie Lorraine is one of those whom Ian will rem even in daily life and v much attached to her when he sees her....and of course attracted by all the songs and stories that Auntie Lorraine is always teaching Ian....now his fav is the little pig goes to market =) of course telling the story using Ian's little toes =p

On such special day, just wanna thank jiu2 and jiu-mu who has been such wonderful companions for Ian...hope both of u enjoy this whole birthday week of celebrating both your birthdays! May God continue to use both of u (together) to shine more light and touch more lives =)

An animals' farm day!!!

This morning, we tagged along with ah mu and ah ba's family to visit animals at the East coz we hardly explore the East....we were 1st at the Gallop Stable and here's Ian trying to cajole the pony to eat his feed hahaa....the ponies were kindof 'tired' or aloof hahaa the kids were trying to feed them but they din move at all!!

Next we went to the Kid's kampong....it houses many animals for the kids to have fun with....

Here are the 3 kids enjoying their time in the animal farm....kindof commercialised but never knew Spore has such farms...thot only Aust has such farms hahaa...well they were really happy to feed so many kinds of animals...presenting the 3 animal lovers...think their parents are too ahhaaa =)

Here's the usual fish feeding (we usually do it at SBG) and so here's the seasoned Ian feeding them tho the lot here seems alot hungrier than the SBG's and wonder if all the kois get to get them coz we were dishing out lesser feeds than the no. of fishes....

Here's the rabbits....Ian 1st tried feeding them with his hand straight to their mouth and guess their teeth bit him and he retreated with an Ouch hahaa...then he learnt that he could only put thru the pipe....oh boy the animals here look real hungry as compared to the ponies earlier hhehe

Here are the ducks...quite interestting coz the ducks will be quacking away and till u feed them then they will be busy scrambling for the feed hehee...the kids were thrilled by the quacking ducks!

Here's Ian's fav (as in according to our observation) coz they were the least hungry looking and he could slowly put the feed thru the pipe...when he's done he looked so happy saying 'Done done!' hahaa what a farmer....by the time he finishes feeding, the animals will be hungry again coz he was feeding seed by seed

And here's the tortoise which Ian sat real close to see them coz the ones at SBG usually are quite far (or we dun allow him go too close to see) and he was happy to come so close to the animals as he's always fond of animals as he's always pointing out to them in books...now they come alive to him!

And we ended off with some fish 'window shopping'....the kids were just happy loitering to see the many fishes that were on sale....guess they had a FRUITFUL day....for the animal lover kids

Happy Birthday, Jiu2!!!

Mama particularly like this pic coz both Ian and jiu2 are blowing out the 2nd candle (coz ah gong blew the 1st candle and Joy there waiting for her turn with Auntie Lorr) and dun they look cute?? hahaa....well have a blessed bday, jiu2....Ian can't express his greetings to you but this boy sure looks fwd to having u ard the place....this chalet was a really gd time for us and the kids to catch up with u and Lorr....wishing u a truly Happy Birthday and may u continue to walk in the way of the Lord and be the WISE jiu2 and brother to us =)

How the kids have grown....

Managed to 'steal' the pics from my sis blog hahaa....here are the 2 pics to compare how the kids have grown over the past yr....last end Jul we also went NSRCC and they enjoyed the BIG space to play and to have fun together....this yr they sure to enjoy more coz they have all grown 1 yr older....even the place has been refurbished and we could no longer see the same chairs ard hahaa....hhmm this is a place to mark their growing up yrs together =) but this time there are sure more 'fights' coz the 2 little ones are more mobile and can talk ALOT and sure to fight back sigh =p guess its the 3 of them that brings so much 'noise' and warmth to the place =)

We are back at NSRCC!!!

Yeah a yr ago, we went to this resort and we liked the place coz there were lots of activities to do and we could all stay in a BIG house....this yr, daddy managed to get the chalet again (also to celeb dad, Ber and Lorr's bdays!!!) and here we are at Changi village to check out the ferries...Ian was totally fascinated by the 'closeness' the planes were to him and he was non-stop 'airplane' from 1st day till the last day of our stay...guess he's never tired of hearing them flying pass even when he's in bed...guess staying near the area must quite get used to the sound huh

here we are at the playground (before the rest of the family join us on the 2nd day!)...Ian loved the sun but it was a little too hot for the rest of us hahahaa

So went the indoor playground and Ian was 'driving' his car....hahaa as if...its the kind of flintstone kind and he was moving ard the place....he and his blue car!

Then there was cycling coz ah mu brought along this pushing kind for Ian,....he had endless ride on it...just that we were taking turns to push him sigh....what a bike!

And on Sat, jiu2 and jiu mu joined us...and we had the bday celeb....yummy lunch and cake as well...the kids totally loved the cheesecake and we totally loved the company coz for once, mama din have to look after Ian, there were so so many pple to assist with the task hahaaa even to help with the feedings =)

Then we spent some time having fun by the beach....Ian has been asking for digging for past few wks since we got him the new beach set and here's him with his daddy and the sand

The breeze was gd...we are so thankful daddy's coy's chalet is sea-facing coz we were getting all the breeze even back in chalet...we din have to turn on air con too often coz it was windy all the time...we even had breezy steamboat time there....well well just so diff from last yr when we were golf course facing coz the current unit was under reno...this time there was so much space for the kids to run ard....just recall last yr Ian was still crawling ard and had to mind their nap time...this yr it was much easier having him walk and able to withstand the tiredness...often wanting more fun and not wanting to zzz

We had gd meal times together....here's Ian with his dear dayi feeding him, and sitting beside jie2 and ah mu....we had so much fun and gd food hahaha

Here's the kids waiting for their sushi time coz the 'chef' is preparing for the stuff and here they are waiting to see how sushi is being rolled....and they also learnt from dayi how to make strawberry cheesecake!!

And Ian enjoys his mealtimes with his cousins....or rather Ian has endless breakfast buffet coz there was so much food and he was nibbling everything....here's with Joy enjoying their cereal!

And the finale ended with the end product of the cheesecake made by dayi and the kids just loved gathering ard to take pics!!

Guess we will make plans to go back again this BIG house that can accomodate the whole family and they allow some cooking so the meals are much easier to settle now.....ya guess the kids just loved having fun together huh....we just love such family time

We are also glad daddy's coy has such perks that the family could enjoy....what can we say...dun we just love daddy's coy hahahaaa

We went NDP rehearsal (without Ian!!)

Yay...we have been trying to ballot for the NDP tics for to no avail...this yr, somehow daddy's coy was giving out some tics (coz they are 1 of the sponsor coy) and there was balloting for the NE show (NDP rehearsals) and daddy managed to get a pair...we did crack our heads for some time how to 'smuggle' Ian in (coz the tic strictly says even infants need a tic) so we were so reluctant NOT to bring Ian along...well we toss the idea either of us go with Ian but him being so young won't enjoy the show...so ah mu was nice to allow us to go for couple time while they brought Ian back to po2's pl for the usual family dinner and we could pick him up after the show =) its been so long we had such carefree hrs....and mama's dream to attend the show =p and to visit the Marina Bay platform

Some highlights....the forces coming alive and was so upclose and personal encounter...we were just in front of them...it looked as if we were the 'victims' hehee

Here's the National flag with national song...felt so patriotic suddenly hehee...been so long we sang the National Anthem huh....never had the pumas so upclose to us...

Teo Chee Hean was there acting as President...it was quite nice ambience with all the roaring audience altho I think most of the noise and cheering was from the pri sch kids =p

the F16....this was really cool...even there were lots of public watching from the Merlion at Fullerton....this was really superb having them flying over us!!!

The rain came so suddenly....gd thing we had the ponchoo...but it was kindof heavy downpour and we left to pick up our dear son....so glad we din bring him coz otherwise he would get wet with us....and maybe we couldn't stay till so late coz we did see some bigger kids not able to sit thru the show coz the continents marching and the gun parade was a little too loud and boring to them

We were really glad to have ah mu's family to take care of Ian till we pick him up....and we were sure po2, dayi and all will take gd care of Ian so we could lve him with them without much of a worry....we were just worried Ian might not wanna go home with us since he had so much fun with his cousins....ah mu was updating us of Ian's 'progress'....just glad Ian could adapt so well with changes even tho he woke up barely 5 mins and mama was preparing him that we won't be going po2's place with him....and glad he was all ready to go when we appeared at the door...

Truly this was a much treasured evening out and having our son in gd hands....kindof missed him tho we were just away for 4 hrs....can't imagine going trips without him ahhaa...not that we are planning but maybe could go for more couple dinners and have Ian babysit again?? hahaha but surely hope there's a chance to bring Ian to the NDP parade....next yr maybe???

Ian went barber without shedding a tear...FINALLY!!

For the past 5 times Ian visited the saloon/barber, he's always leaving the place with much tears...for some reasons unknown to us, he doesn't like having his hair cut or even touch by strangers....so for the past weeks we have been telling him that he needs a hair cut and will remind him not to cry....well have not been having the chance to have his hair cut for past wkends...so on some wkdays, this boy will know that daddy's going out to work (ie go out without us) and he will tell mama 'Bye, coz he's going to jian tou fa with daddy' hahaa his new trick to go out on wkdays! Well so today we decided to bring him to the barber opp our pl coz its getting really long....reminded him NOT to cry and sit still....and uncle will cut his hair and he could say Bye and xie xie to uncle thereafter....he was really gd...sat on daddy's lap and allow the razor to buzz ard him only that at moments he will try to shove the razor away...hhmm guess he's growing up and he truly knows what we have been preparing him all this while...and yes, he did say Bye Bye, Uncle and xie xie uncle before he left the fateful place hahaa...so glad this boy is growing up =)

Ian turns 28 mths old

This month somehow passed quite fast....maybe coz it was mama's June hols and also daddy did take lve here and there...so with more 'off' days the time sure pass faster...this mth we see Ian talking ALOT ALOT more....ya sentences but usually with it starting with 'I want' hhmm still trying to ask him to say 'Please may I' tho its tough....hhmm he can mimic almost every word we say and the toughest word he has learnt is SORRY....ya here's a pic when he said Sorry and with the action (on an occasion when he did nothing wrong and he was fast to follow after mama saying sorry) but when on occasions when he did wrong, the pride gets into him and it can take really long for him to say....the longest we tried was for him to skip his lunch coz he din want to apologise so he ended up taking his nap without having his lunch...yes, he's learning the hard way but it sure seems easier for him to do the action without the word...there was once he took so long to say sorry while he was there drooling over his cousins having fun in the pool while he sits there unchanged coz dayi was waiting for him to apologise to mama...sigh man's pride!
But this month we also see Ian's fine motor skills getting better...he's able to wear his own pyjamas pants on his own...yes, sometimes running away with the pants and wearing it on his own....and he's also learning to button his own shirt on his own....we din train him but guess he wanted to learn to be INDEPENDENT so this is his way of learning...sigh long way to independence huh....and yest, he proved he could pull his own brief and pee into the potty at po2's house....man was mama shocked that he could do it...perhaps he could go toilet on his own v soon ahhaa...then off from nite diaper?? Just a wild thot =p

He's smart enough to know who to carry him and who will not...so when mama settles bath for him, he will walk to the bedroom for change but he will fuss to be carried by daddy or po2 who usually dun mind spoiling him having him carried....now Ian's quite game for long walks with mama...the last we walked to TB plaza coz the motivation was cake for him...so here's a pic of him carrying the polar plastic bag hahaa and later he doesn't quite like the cream in the cake...well end up it was dessert for mama and daddy hehee...and we could walk to TB market to get fresh fish ball for him...so more long walks with mama huh

Now Ian's so curious abt everything it seems tough to take pics in front of him coz he will wanna have the camera and take pic...here's a truncated pic of him taking a pic of himself...sigh guess the days to take nice pics of him will soon be gone...well teaching him he can't hold the camera but its taking so so much effort sigh....maybe we shld give him the spoilt camera to play ard hhahaa...

Time flies 28 mths of motherhood has gone in a gust of wind....mama was just recalling the days when Ian could hardly do much except zzz on bed and smiling here and there...now he's such a 'busy' boy making mama busy as well...guess this boy is getting more inquisitive day by day and sure more active moment by moment....happy 28th month old, our dear busy boy!

Playing improvised basketball at home

hahhaa what can creativity do?? Well Ian came up with the improvised basketball to play with mama back home....here's him on his blue 'platform' (from Ikea's chair) and trying to aim into an Ikea blue box while mama tosses back the ball into a pink stool (improvised as the basketball net for mama) and we have fun almost every day playing basketball hahaha....this is called fun back home without having to be under the sun...creative basketball we call??

A day spent up in the north!

Today after having our breakfast, we headed towards the North as we have a 'date' with the Tay family....they have been back from Edinburgh for more than 2 mths and the last we had was a welcome party and today we visited their new renovated home and Ian was truly thrilled to be playing the cooking set ALONE...coz the other kids were busy in the 'movie room'....well this boy just enjoys his turning on and off the stove, the tap to wash his 'dirty' plates and checking his fridge if its well stored....kindof tempted to get him a 2nd hand set if we see any (anyone got any idea where to get them??) coz he's always thrilled with cooking and he's always fascinated by such well furnished cooking set hahaa....maybe he will turn out to be some cook or chef?? hhmm

Then Ian felt abit 'ALONE' and started bringing some of the cooking stuff to join the kids in the movie room....he was happily tucked under the jie2's quilt and checking out what the other kids were busy with....for a different experience coz the adults were happily catching up in the living room and we were freed of looking after the kids...except for dayi who had to be 'dragged' along wherever Ian was hehhee

And thereafter we headed to po2's place to nap coz it was convenient and won't be afraid the kids might zzz in the car....well Ian napped a little only (maybe coz he knew the cousins were there) but he had a whale of the time there playing with his cousins coz since we were there early today, they had extended time of play tho they all had not enough of sleep....it is such fun with family time....just looking fwd for more of it =) just poor po2 was busy looking after the kids and also busy cooking for all of us today =p well guess special thanks out to po2 and not forgettting dayi who had to be 'wanted' by diff kids at diff time....just so nice to spend extended time with dayi today!
