A trip to the EAST and the day with DAYI!!!

For a change, we took bus to ECP as dayi was off that day woohoo and off we went in a bus that takes us direct there and here's the happy boy who loves taking bus and often request to take bus ride (coz we do take MRT to the north every wk) and here's the happy boy who kept requesting to press the stop button but halt till we finally reach our stop which took more than 1/2 hr but he was quite occupied with the lookout at vehicles out of the window and can't wait to see beloved DAYI at the bus stop!
It has been so long while we took the underpass over to ECP from Marine Parade and we did and the boy was gd in walking till he told dayi he LOVED walking haahahaa and we stopped by the beach to enjoy the sun, breeze and the sea and Ian was blowing his bubbles there....guess its sch hols, the park was pretty packed with pple on such a Fri, we took more leisure walk to Parkway Parade

And to our surprise, the mall was with Toy Story theme and the boy was so excited to try every ride, here he is on the Buzz Light Year, there was a place with swings but tried to avoid as he could go on swing NON-STOP =p

And here's with dayi with the dinosaur and guess he just loves riding on every ride

And of coz the slide and he kept going up and down till it soon got swarmed with more kids and we had to go in the mall as it was getting hot....
And here's the poser on the ride hahhaaa and it was interesting as there was a xmas tree with buzz lightyear at the top of the tree and we had to hull Ian away and at the mall, there was a meet and greet Woody and Buzz LightYear and Ian kept asking to take pics with them but we had to purchase $30 to make it for the next shot but we couldn't quite find stuff to buy and also the next timing was too late as it would be Ian's nap time....aft shopping ard, we took another long bus ride so that Ian could nap on the go and this was the 1st time we really tried Ian nap on the bus and he did well and we then met daddy for dinner
And that nite, he got his request to stayover dayi's hostel again and he loved it....guess what he can't wait to shoo mama and daddy away as we fetch them to the hostel....he was so afraid mama and daddy might wanna stay over too hehehee thanks dayi for going out with us for the whole day and also allowing Ian to stay over the hostel again =) we could do more for dec =)

Ian's orientation at his school!

Have been preparing Ian for this day as we thot it might not be easy for a boy who hasn't been used to going sch and he has been saying No to going to sch but today he was glad he made it to the orientation coz he seemed to like his sch more now that he can put images abt sch into his mind...guess the last we went was almost 1/2 yr ago and he doesn't know much abt the sch except a BIG cross at the church building
We had some time so brought him ard and to the toilet where he washed his own hands and needed to make sure he could pee on his own...had the principal talked to the parents and apparently today were orientation for the new kids on the block only....was quite surprised to see only a few kids in Ian's class then realised we were the only few new students to the class as there is prenursery class so Ian's class probably had 10 kids from the pre-N class and since the class was size of 10 and now increased to 15 in Nursery so there were only 5 new kids
Made all the payments and had to get uniform for Ian....this looks quite HUGE on him, guess we never quite get uniform before and the principal passed by and commented the set we got him to wear probably could last only 3 mths so we had to get a size bigger and this is IT! Doesn't it look huge anw guess most of the kids were wearing huge uniform....hhmmm and baggy pants is in the fashion!

We then went back the class since there were lesser parents and wanted to ask the form teacher more questions hahaaa and we found the name list and to our horror, there are only 2 girls in the class and there are 13 boys...wonder issit a boy boom yr as we experience that in Ian's Sun Sch class as there are no gals sigh....perhaps we shld really enrol Ian into a boy sch hahahaa...anw his name is spelt wrongly and there is a neighbour staying our blk who will be in Ian's class hhhmm interesting huh saw the parents so wonder if they both will clique!

And in the class we found the 'time-table' for his nursery class so just capture a shot and know when he has art, music or comp class since english and chinese is done everyday. The interesting part of the sch is they have 2 classrooms for the level and 1 is for Chinese and the other for English and so when they are having the class, they go the appropriate classroom with the appropriate charts ard they shld speak the language....hahhaa strange huh but will see if it works out for Ian anw glad we stayed a little longer coz mama thot there was no sch on 3 Jan (since 1 Jan is on Sat) but the teacher told us there is sch on 3 Jan but its shorter ie 830-10am....so at least we wont booboo and turn up on 4 Jan only hahhaaa

And of coz how could the boy missed out on the toy fun and he was doing his fav cooking since there was such an extensive set of cooking set there and he could spend endless cooking time there if we had not hull him away! Wonder if its a gd start to his new phase of sch life aaawww its his first and ours too!

We explored the zoo again today!

Daddy tried balloting for his corp zoo pass for Haji PH and we got it but it was super crowded at the zoo....never tried going on PH and to our surprise, it was jammed at the car park at 9+ in the morning but we got a lot and zoom off to the zoo as the weather looked GD! So we zoomed past the crowd since we had the members card...wonder how come pple will be willing to part with the $$ to go zoo when it probably last for half a day with such weather at yr end...anw we went the usual places for Ian to see the giraffe, zebras, orang utans....ya he requested to feed giraffe and kangaroos but not sure if he will play us out so we checked out the new places...

Today coz of the crowd the Splash Safari show was done over at Shaw amphi instead...smart choice as there will be ample of seats but also all taken by the time we show started but we got a gd seat but the only performing animal was the sealion...they cut short the show...guess we have been to zoo so often we know how the show is like and duration as well =)

What was new was the Animal friends show...wonder issit the 1st time they are showing it as the emcee said it was a brand new show at a brand new place but Ian loved the show as it was abt dogs and cats and he asked to go back again if we were coming back to the place

Nice show for the kids as there was a segment for the kids to go down and dance but it could be madness retrieving ur kids since there were so many kids going down...anw the last part they ended with kids patting the dogs there were at least 6-7 diff kinds of dogs and there was bubble blow time...Ian just loved the bubbles....guess a new place to check out if we do come back again

Here's Ian trying to catch the bubbles which were floating all over and he was checking out all the cat's and dog's house and asking who lived in which house as the 'houses' were fanciful and had doors and windows....hhhmm he really wanted to open the doors hahhaaa ya if u ask him abt the zoo trip, guess he will ask for the dogs and cats rather than the lions, monkeys and giraffe...so we din do the feeding this time as wonder if he will chicken out but well we could do it again some day

And we found another nice spot for lunch where there were plenty of kois while we have lunch, Ian could run up and down the stairs counting the turtles and kois.....soon the sky turned dark and we were glad we made it just in time to the car and when we turned out the car park, the road just near the mandai road was all filled with cars...madness how on earth will pple park so far and walk into the zoo?? Anw a lesson learnt not to come on PH and perhaps wkends coz we have been so 'pampered' with the little crowd on wkdays!

A JB shopping trip!

For the 1st mon without BSF, we were glad dayi invited us for a shopping trip to JB else it would be a usual stay home day....so we were happily waiting for dayi to fetch us before picking up po2 and ah gong for this special day out of home! Here we are at Tebrau City tucking into our Japanese lunch and Ian ate so much, he had fried rice with chicken and ate dayi's soba...just an easy eater as the adults commented as he could eat whatever we ordered (tho we did promise him sushi but this restaurant there wasn't) anw we adjourned to shopping and Ian din quite wanna walk so he stayed with ah gong on a bench and when we found them, they were both sharing a pack of nuts hahaaa Ian's new found snack and it happened to be ah gong's fav and they went for coffee break (tho we just ate not long hhmm what surprise ah gong can bring to Ian huh)
after shopping a while, mama knew it was Ian's nap time and he was asking if he could sleep while he was still in the supermarket's trolley and later when he really fell asleep it proved hard to zzz inside it as his head was swaying all directions and so mama had to bring him out onto a bench before letting him lie flat, this was the 1st time we tried this position coz usually daddy will carry him on shoulders which mama tried but thot it might be more comfy for both of us this way and he actually slept soundly for 1hr....hhmm we could do more of this huh since its so easy for Ian to nap on the go (really on the go since we couldn't bring the pram along!) So thanks dayi again for this shopping trip which we enjoyed so much that Ian was asking on the way home to stay in HOTEL....so spoilt when he sees passport and getting out of the country huh guess we could come back for more shopping, makan and movies huh

We went to daddy's company's family day!

Always enjoyed going family days, guess one of mama's most missed thing abt not working is FAMILY DAY! For daddy's coy's family day its quite extensive coz the company is HUGE but its usually on Sundays! We have been to zoo (when we were still dating back then!), went to Downtown East (when we were newly wed n could still take all kinds of rides!), then to Sentosa (on the day Ian turned 1yo and took a bus ride ard the terminal where daddy was working) and today we skipped church and went for a run at ECP....and of coz only daddy did the 5km run while Ian with mama just went along the beach and....
after digging some sand under the hot sun, we went under the tentage (after 'parking' Ian's bike at some tentage stand) and he went on the booths to play all the games, he was super hooked on this bowling one coz he could amazingly went all the pins down (thot it was easy or sth but there are pple who can't strike all down) and maybe Ian knows he could do this best so he kept going for this game after failing at the basketball game, he also played golf game and he got so many colored pens as prizes...all the kids there were going crazy at collecting pens! A gd way to 'waste' the time while waiting for the runners to come back!
Then of coz it was the breakfast time and this boy was eating so much food and yet asking for popcorn and it was a madness queue for the popcorn which took forever to get this pack and it was a precious pack and was a time to get to know daddy's colleague and some of them said Ian has grown so different coz the last they saw him was he was barely 1yo+ when he attended some wedding lunch with daddy in a pram

Thereafter we went on for lunch at Waraku and here's Ian riding his bike to the car park....what a different Sun as we had to wake up earlier than going to church and by 7am daddy was waking us up to go for this event as the flag off was at 8am but gd thing Ian was so looking fwd to his riding of bike that he got up so happy to go CYCLING! Guess we could look fwd for more family days since Ian's older to appreciate the family day! As he was cycling, he was actually shouting 'P-S-Aaaaaa' coz earlier there was a game played to see who could shout the coy's name and last the longest hahhaa so now he knows daddy's coy!

Our 1st at the Universal Studios!

heard so much abt the RWS and USS but haven't quite been there and weren't planning to go USS since it has been advised the kid will enjoy more when he's older and moreover we have been to the US so haven't plan to go USS but today ah mu jio us to go the after hrs of USS and sounded quite interesting but it was drizzling so we managed to check out the whole place on feet and the kids were asking if we were gonna stay at the hotels as it was getting late....hhmm nothing of that, we just walked ard and it was a pl for pple to go when u feel like spending $$....yes, coz everything is costly there and the queues for dinner was madness so we were glad we packed dinner and enjoy the place there and then ending with nice dessert at Coffee Beans

However there was a 'lesson' learnt for the nite as we walked ard, dayi promised the kids to get them candy from candylicious for for our kids who hardly eat lollipops, the luring of candies in the shop was just irresistable so we walked ard the whole shop and let the kids decide on their candy.....seth being the oldest chose a real colourful lollipop and the other 2 were influenced by him as they wanted the same as gor2 and while queuing up, mama was dissuading Ian from taking that lollipop as it would probably be messy and it didn't look attractive to us...so tried to ask him change to M&M minis coz chocolate was also a rare thing for him.....he din want initially as the other 2 were persistent on their choice of the lollipop but later he relented and chose M&M chocs....coz mama knew he was a more choc lover than candy

Verdict was the other 2 din like the lollipops as it had this cinnamon taste and while Ian was enjoying his M&Ms and the adults having the cakes and drinks at Coffee Beans, the 2 kids just wrapped their candies and said it wasn't nice....well well this was just a lesson learnt to listen from the adults as we know better what they like but it was a gd lesson for all, even for Ian who din want to heed mama's advice but later he was happily sharing his choc with gor2 and jie2 and even had some to bring home as he couldn't possibly finish the whole pack that nite but it was a treat for all to go USS to chill out and we could come back again tho the car park is super duper ex and yet FULL!!! Wonder issit a place for pple who have no better pl to spend $$ then u shld consider coming here!

Our 2nd 3D movie in a mth - MEGAMIND

2 weeks ago, we dropped by Discovery Ctr to watch the movie we got somewhat 'hooked' on going there for movie so thot today was PH so asked daddy to try ballot the tics again and we got it and this time we invited dayi to come with us for the 3D movie and here we are at the pl again and this time Ian was more keen to put on the glasses coz he saw the rest of us put on (the previous time we were a little late so din quite prep him so he watched the movie wo the glasses on!)
Here we are getting ready for the show but it proved to be abit too 'deep' for kids as Ian was fidgetting and so were the many kids in the theatre(quite surprised with the turnout of kids in the theatre) but it was interesting how a bad person can be GOOD when he was sad that the evil had been destroyed and while getting a 'GD' person out, it ended up the person preferred to be evil coz it was easier....alot to think thru after the show and there is a phrase in the movie that goes 'evil is not bad, it is nurtured' in a way its true, in order to make a kid gd its not in the genes or even if he were born with sin (as we all are) we could still nurture them to do good! A gd movie for this PH and we shld see ourselves coming back again and again for the FOC movie hahaa

Our first attending ROM ceremony at MND building

Guess we never had a chance to attend a ROM ceremony outside of ROM and today we had a chance as daddy's pri sch friend, Alex was registering his marriage at ROM (which now is temp at MND building) and it was an exposure for us who have been so used to attending church weddings and hotel ROM and well, it was somewhat snappy (except for the anxious couple who had to rush home to get their ICs as they hv forgotten to bring) and then we adjourned to GoodWood Park for high tea, here the foodie boy just loved the spread of the food and was busily tucking in his food and din quite bother abt the boys who were of his age running ard till the groom's mum commented he must be a gd boy sitting there quietly.....hah that's coz he's a food lover and his fav food - kuehs, prata, chic wings, spring rolls and cakes just kept his mouth busy hehhee but it was a gd time for daddy to catch up with some of his sec school mates as well and for us, we were just glad we were out of the home for something different and enjoying food, of course! we did take some pics with the couple but guess gotta wait for the photographer to send to the couple before emailing to us!

BSF term ends today (for the kids)!

This was a shot taken on the 1st day of the BSF class for Ian and he was placed in a 3yo class tho he was just a mth to his 3yo bday and looking back, we have been to IBC (international baptist church) for 29 times and it was by faith we made it every wk(except for the 2 weeks when we were away for hols) as there were wks when Ian was having runny nose or cough and mama would pray God will somehow heal Ian so we could be there for the precious lesson and thinking back how we contemplated how to go there with 3 kids if the men couldn't fetch us there and back well so far we were ferried there and only made our way back once and by then the kids were older, we could walk to take cab home

Still rem there was some wks (abt a mth after the BSF term started) Ian din wanna go to BSF class as there was a boy who pushed him and for Ian who hasn't started sch proper he was not exposed to such acts and it just was by God's grace how we perserved and today, he has prep himself for nursery sch to tell teacher when there is such act in class done to him and we could just testify how God has led us thru the many weeks and we are sure slowly and surely the seed of faith is slowly growing in the boy's heart!
Looking at the contrast of the pics, we can't help but say it must have been the time spent every mon bonding with the kids that the children teachers just got closer to the kids and Ian had made a card for both teachers Mrs Tansy and Mrs Lynne, tho it was written with his somewhat beginner handwriting but he sure wrote it with his thankfulness to the teachers....every Mon Ian will tell mama of the hymns and activities he did in class and he just loved the playdough time coz he just couldn't stop telling daddy abt his playdough in class and he has learnt many hymns from BSF and his fav are Holy Holy Holy, Praise Him all ye little children and Good morning God. Of these, Ian's fav is Holy Holy Holy and he just can't stop praising the Holy God that even Auntie Lorraine passed him a CD that has this song and he will ask daddy to play it whenever we are in the car
And indeed may the Holiness of God be ever on Ian's mind and remember the work of Holy Spirit in the little child of God and the book of John has been a gd time to teach of the little lambs and for the children to feed on God's word, we will definitely be back for the book of Isaiah as we have seen how God brought us thru the learning of John

As a closure for book of John, this song just rings in mama's mind as she helped in a children's prog and the song just speaks so much of God's love and we ought to love coz He first loved us!
*We love(Clap clap), because God first loved us
We love (clap clap) because God first loved us
We love (clap clap) we love (clap clap) because God first (clap) loved (clap) us (clap clap)*
