A little change???

It started on Maundy Thur that daddy wasn't back early coz he had to help out in church svc so mama thot why not start sth different and we were in the playroom abt 7pm+ with both Ian and mama done with our showers in our PJ....then mama started on the meaning of Holy Wk and we did some reading together and thereafter Ian asked to do some 'homework' (yes, he uses that word for work done back at home) and somehow he loves doing the chinese one tho he doesn't quite understand it and since then, we tried to do more often with such evenings with him learning his stuff rather than the usual play and doing other fanciful stuff which are not purposeful and on Mon nite, daddy had his try on teaching the boy chinese hahahaa....will do it more often since daddy hasn't quite been the one teaching the stuff and soon the 'task' shld shift to daddy huh when the little one comes along esp....see how far we can go with this little change in our evenings

A rare chance....

For some time Ian has been mentioning to us abt this tricycle in his sch which can ferry 3 pax which he has been most keen to cycle on but had not had the chance. And on this rare Wed that mama could pick him up, they were actually doing cycling just before dismissal time (as the K2s were away for field trip so the hall was empty so the teacher brought them there and the parents could 'view' them as it was just beside the waiting area.....) and mama could see Ian was yearning to be on the tricycle as he dashed towards it but a little too slow but soon the lao shi caught sight of it (wonder issit coz mama is there hahaha) and asked the boy who has on the bike to take turns with the rest and Ian FINALLY got his chance and he was most happy, not just coz he could ferry his friends but it was his dearest friend whom he has been mentioning so so much at home hahhaaa it's emily.....wonder how come he's so fond of this gal (well not the kind we are thinking) but he could be mentioning her name whole day long and they are not in the same color grp....wonder issit coz of her character?? hhmm yet to have a chance to talk to the gal but she's the one sitting on the bike....well the video serves as a gd momento as there is rare chance for mama to capture such shots since the usual play time is in between the time table and glad we have a chance to video it down and of coz shots of the play time =) but this sure means a lot to the boy when he was viewing them back home and 'showing' off to his daddy hahhaaa

Ian's 1st visit to the wave pool!

On such a fine Sat morning, we headed to Jurong Swimming complex which has the wave and lazy pools which we used to visit in our 'younger' days hahaha and today we are here with the kids and the kids always love playing the water and we were glad we made it tho made some detour.....and weather was SO SO gd! We rented the float and enjoyed the wave at the wave pool and then took some time lazing on the lazy pool and the kids just love playing at the kids pool as well....Ian was most keen to do the tower slides but he was too short for the height limit alas....he prob gotta wait for another 2 yrs to be 1.2m tall! Thereaft we headed for lunch at the place and the kids were treated to pizza and that really ends our morning fun well coz soon the rain came upon the place and we were out of the pool before the rain could come on us and we will definitely be back for more pool fun before the little one comes coz else too troublesome to lug the baby along haahhaa....we could do picnic the next time as we saw some pple doing that and that really saves time on eating bf and lunch hahhaa and water all the time tho got abit sun burnt just merely in the sun for 2hrs+

Ian's 4 yrs and 1 mth old!!!

This mth has been such a long mth with his 1 week of break (having stay over and outings) and it was also a fun filled mth with much anticipation of the little sibling coming along (and many many many questions on baby!) and we also had some movies (1 when we went tebrau during the wk break and another 2 on mama's bday at Spore Discovery Ctr) and we truly appreciate him sitting thru the shows (altho he might ask why issit so long) but guess this is a gd age to start movies but hhmm we only got a few more mths to enjoy such times...anw he's also enjoying DVDs treats....yeah mama gives him every evening so that mama could do some cooking and he has been enjoying Magic School Bus (as ah mu was borrowing for Seth some time ago and Ian got his hands on it) and it was on the series of Air Pressure (mainly science topics for the this series) and wonder if he got them but he has watched over and over again, guess he shld be bugging for more the next lib visit instead of his usual 3 little pigs which we haven't successfully borrowed from lib again as it's usually on loan (hot huh!)

And some wks back we had a BBQ at AL gu'2 pl and in fact we had 2 BBQ in this mth and he truly know the idea of BBQ as he had so much fun in the BBQ we had in church that when we told him we were going for another BBQ the following wkend, his face just lighted up.....guess we could do more of this BBQ in our upcoming trip and the climate will be cooler for more fire fun hahhaaa....he also had some fun with the sparklers at the last BBQ, guess when he stayed over Jiu2's pl earlier this yr he was given the 'treat' to it and now some mths back, he is actually bolder and was enjoying it more.....now he's asking for more of the sparklers huh

And this mth we also visited the Asian Civilisation Museum coz it was a open day so admission was free and to our surprise there were quite abit of kids activities and Ian was enjoying some of them tho he was shy to join some but overall, he's gd at the museum as he can't quite understand the artifacts we guess but he was gd in walking thru and asking qns altho he din know what they were....it was a gd start to going museum and he was treated to a ice cream cone as there was a giving out at lunch time =) he's him with his colorful cone!

Yes and here's the sticker list he got last Sun for memorising the verse....guess it came a real surprise to us and also to him coz we expected him to chicken out last min altho mama went thru with him just that morning but he surprised us by carrying out the 'task' and he got a surprise reward in return...something he never expected and till today, he's still so happy and pleased with his reward as he will bring the stickers to zzz and then admiring them in the day sigh....guess this is what simple pleasures for kids and with his fav heart shapes! He just loves drawing heart shapes!

Happy 1 mth old after u turn 4 yo, our dear boy! And it has been fun and entertaining with u growing up each day and truly enjoying this precious creation of God!

Ian's 1st bible scripture verse memory

Ian's Sunday Sch gave an daunting task some wks ago, telling mama she's trying scripture memory verse for e kids but somehow there was a wk break coz of combined svc so mama forgot to 'practise' with Ian n when we did during breakfast last sun, Ian couldn't get all in n he was just saying aft mama. Then teacher said will try again n this wk with a little more practice n perhaps Ian had a Gd sleep previous nite, he was able to memorize during breakfast time hhee n mama was abit skeptical if he would do it actually n HE DID IT! Haa with such practice it was Gd for him n as a booster, he was given a strip of stickers by the teacher as he seemed like e only one who did it. Just glad we didn't give up hope aft the 1st try n looking at how he's remembering all his songs n lessons fm Sch, perhaps it's time to do scripture memory, maxing e memory he has at this age! Anw for now he rem this verse:

Happy Birthday to mummy!

The day finally came as Ian has been counting down to mama's bday after his passed.....n on this day, daddy got 3 bday egg tarts to celebrate mama's special day early in the morning and Ian was most pleased to hv that for bf and knowing that daddy was gonna fetch him to sch =) =) thumbs up for him as he dun need to walk with mama hahhaaa....after we dropped him, we had a nice bf before going to visit the gynae to see how our other little one is doing....it's fine and we will be going for detailed scan in 4 weeks time woohoo so fast into half the full term soon! After Ian's sch, we went for a quick lunch as we were going SDC for the 3D movies....intended to watch 'Hop' but Ian fell asleep in car so we let him napped while we catch the Rio show, we watched this Ultimate Wave first before Rio coz it was complimentary with daddy's corporate pass and it was abt windsurfing and Ian kept asking when is the cartoon coming on hahhaa so we had round 2 of 3D show thereafter and it was nice watching the Blue Macaw show and so much abt Brazil....guess it is kindof a quiet bday coz soon we won't be able to have such luxury of sitting in theatre watching shows and that's why we are here for some movies hahhaa

Here's a bday cake for mama as daddy went to get in order to celebrate the day altho we already had some rounds of celebration but well the choc lover boy wouldn't resist eating the choc cake huh! But it was nice hearing the boy kept on saying 'Happy Birthday, mummy!'
