Labrador outdoor fun

We just love Labrador park coz it's near our pl, it's small area but yet lots of space to enjoy e sea breeze n push e pram ard w Joann n yet there is quite a huge playground for Ian to play while his sis naps. So it's been great to see how we progress w each visit.

This am was so Gd weather we brought Ian's bike n also e 'plastic balloon' he has requested to play since uncle Winston bought for him for e kluang trip. Hmm was alot childhood memories for mama n daddy as we blew e 'balloons' hee but these are fm daiso n quite cool. See we made a balloon-man haha.

Yes, enjoying e sea breeze is so cool n Joann was joining us in e fun! Then she dozed off for a Gd hr in her pram while Ian went for his playground fun. Gd to see how e boy is growing to do his own climb up to e longest slide n doing things out of his creative mind. Well we had our crazy play at e rocking stand (dunno wat u call tat) but we had a Gd time w Ian on that haha, guess we din hv such fun stuff at playground at our times so compensate tdy! Well well just so thankful for such Gd weather for such fun! Well certainly w b back n Ian just can't wait for his sister to join him soon! In e meantime, she's cooperative n we left only aft she woke up fm her nap in e nature.

Last day of Sch hols - visit to national museum

We hv been wanting to visit national museum of spore coz Ian went there for his last Sch field trip n tdy we went there aft church. Actually mama visited this museum while she was preg w Ian as it was e coy's educational trip n this museum has changed so much!

It has this high tech gadget called companion which u see Ian hanging ard his neck so wherever u walk ard the designated part of the museum, u punch e number n it w explain e exhibit for u, well e boy was excited abt it except that soon he told mama he doesn't understand wat e uncle is saying. Hmm we are in for e children's season 'island adventures' it was bringing e kids back to e past n they did a boat part w some 'detectives stuff' to study e past. Well Ian was keen for e badge making. It din hv as much activities as e ACM.

Well we couldnt find e exhibition Ian went w his Sch on clothing, it might b e previous exhibition but we saw an exhibition on cheongsum n boy, was Ian excited coz he learnt abt qi pao in Sch n he went round snapping pics. Well really nice collection of cheongsum n they even got late Mrs LKY, benjamin sheares' qi pao n a whole lot collection, it was interesting to see e whole exhibit. It was a nice outing to e museum except we din see wat we set out to see

Family day out!

We hv been to a few family day out event but being there b4, we were abit scared of e hot weather n all e waiting. We reached early at waterfront promontory, got our goodie bags n started e game booths. Boy, there was so much to play but under e sweltering hot sun, so we quickly went thru those booths we were most keen.

Of all, we chose e caricature booth as it was nice to hv sth as keepsake to bring home. The 3 kids had their faces drawn on e 'wall' n 1 pic to bring home but both pics drawn by diff artists. Do they look like Ian? Hee ya a chubby Ian. Din get Joann drawn as she was sound asleep in e pram.

So many goodies for e kids n see each of them hv their fav 'goodie' to bring home! N we got more tics for more family outings yeah to family day out!

Kluang trip - back to nature!!

We planned this trip some time back w some church friends n Ian was so looking fwd for e trip as his cousins r going as well n he just loves msia n hotel! Just prior e trip he was staying at e north n he was abit apprehensive to go as he was afraid we might go wo him haha so when e day came he was real excited. It was a short 3D2N tripn e boy wished it could last forever.

This trip is interesting as Ian hardly associate w older boys fm church, yes usually it's girls he looked up to. So this trip aunty boon n uncle SH brought e 2 P6 nephews n e dynamics were v diff. E kids just wanna stick to them n e 2 boys really looked aft them. Yes, to e extent making sure Ian doesn't miss any 'treats' fm e folks. Hmm so he had so much ice cream, drinks, snacks n even games w them. It was a Gd time at e new hotel we went n e kids would gather to play. Even outdoor, we had soccer, flying kite n playground fun!

Visiting e organic farm n animal farm was fun too. We learnt so much n seen so many plants at e organic farm n was the yummy organic steamboat lunch we had. At e animal farm, e kids fed goats n ostrich n we saw e goats going home scene. It was an experience we dun quite get it back in spore n kluang is a Gd n quaint town which is v near spore. We had endless feasts yes even durians as there was a durian stall just opp our hotel n our hotel serves yummy bf! Hee was Gd for e soul n tummy n Gd for e adults n e young!

Upon going home, Ian just wished we could stay there longer. Guess now his fav pl would b msia 😉

Madagascar movie n fun at discovery ctr

Guess e last visit to SDC left a deep impression on Ian that tdy he kept wanting to go play at e hall n tikam at e shop but it's all diff. We do come here almost every few mths n quite impressed how they do change e stuff. Tdy we were stuck playing some imagery games n even game show. Was a fun 4hrs we spent there, they even had sdc's grand prix. E pic u can see daddy learning to drive race car remote w Ian. N we played some machine which could take pic of us n even allow emailing of pic.

Quite a high tech n informative pl to learn abt NE. Beside e 3D Madagascar show which Ian enjoyed it e 3D effect (yea he put on e glasses n tried to clap e effect haha) we went for e special exhibition on 'will spore collapse?' a pl to ponder on how we shld conserve energy n stop wastages. It highlighted how much we are wasting 5% of food daily n whether we w hv enough food by 2050. Quite interesting exhibition making us seriously think if spore w collapse. Once again, a Gd trip out as a family!

Indoor fun....

With such gloomy sat morning, we r glad we made plans to go Asian civilisation museum as its children's season this jun hols n ACM is having trail of Marco polo 'count to ten', they hv stuff over e museum for kids to participate n learn abt culture over china, India n south east Asia n they hv this little booklet for them to finish n we got magnets at e end of e trail. It was fun but more activities for kids in noon but would b super crowded so we r glad to made it b4 lunch n Joann took a Gd hr nap on e pram. Perfect!

Thereaft we headed to raffles city n they are having Lego fair together promoting legoland n Ian had some Gd time playing Lego there n see e many flowers Lego he made together w his name n he was thrilled to see e rides available at legoland hmm wonder when is a Gd time to make e trip. Anw ended up we bought lots of stuff at e fair hmm been into Lego buying lately as Ian is getting better at it!

Ian is 5 yrs n 3 mths old

As was collating e pics, this has been such a long mth maybe coz it's also hols but recalling e past mth, so many events n experiences that gave a diff perspective of how our boy is growing ie Ian's speech n drama showed his boldness n latest visit to USS showed how daring he has become, even at his classmate's bday party we saw how he played with his friends that really shows us that our boy is truly growing up! Just glad to hear fm PTC that he's coping so well in Sch n we are starting to get him on reading as he's picking up bits n pieces n glad he's enjoying e new experience of trying to read!

With e few occasions he was away fm home during hols, he truly missed his mei2 as he w always hug her n make her laugh when he's home. Yes, we truly thank God he's loving his sibling n in fact he's helping to look aft her making sure she doesn't bite this n that n mama is feeling his absence when he's not home coz he's been such great help!

We made a few family trips out to play like JB trip, waterplay n swimming fun, e boy loves fun n exploring more like e water play he's usually not v keen to get wet he played real well at waterplay. Just glad we had so much family time n certainly more in next few wks! Keep growing to b adventurous, our boy!

Visit to USS

Daddy's company was gonna hv family day at USS!!! Contemplated if it was suitable for Joann as its gonna b at nite. For our family who sleeps early, it's a tough choice but decided to go since its Sch hols n Joann will tag along coz it's family day n besides she shld b easy on e move.

Oh it was so many yrs ago we went universal studios on our honeymoon n that weather in states seem to suit better as it was hot n humid even at nite here so can't imagine going in e day.

Anw it snaked a beeline when we got there n weren't quite sure what we were into as there seemed whole swarm of pple n thot perhaps we try to catch a few rides n call it a nite. We headed to waterworld as all were supp to gather for speech n e action show. Ian got abit scared of e gunshots n pirates but effects were Gd to show him behind e movie scene.

Then e nite started so we tried e 4D shrek show which was not bad but Ian din get e spiders under his feet as he crossed his legs argh but got sprinklers of water on our face. Then we took e ferris wheel which mei2 was so fascinated.

Ian actually came for his ROLLER COASTER ride, we weren't sure he was really game for it but alas no queue so off he went w daddy. Ended up he was so game for it!!! It's enchanted airways n thot it was abit fast for kids but he loved it n wanted to go again n again n he wanted to sit e 1st row!!! So he went 5 times of which 3 times he sat 1st row (behind e dragon head) with daddy n twice on 5th row w mummy hee who's e scared one??

Madagascar boat ride n carousel dim fascinate him at all, he was into roller coaster n he saw e return of mummy n wanted to sit but was turned down coz of his height. Transformers was a little long so we went for accelerator which was like tea cups version except it spins faster n giddier but he was fine. We saw e firework n some street performance. Took pics w e cartoon character but e boy was tired. It is way past his zz time n e girl took 2 naps in her pram. It was too warm n we took supper at 11pm, rare sight but Gd to cool down b4 heading home. Long long nite as we touched bed at 12mn. Ian slept in till late e next morning, he was so tired he said he din dream at all haha n Joann took some days to catch her rest hee but it was a nice experience n best of all, we din need to queue for any ride. Yea, Gd family day but wonder where e folks went? Even capturing pics we were so in time for puss in boots, we were e last in q to take pics. Well more characters but e boy was just too tired. Gd achievement within a nite n e boy surprised us by his endless roller coaster ridesssss!!!

Sandart at home!

Bought some sandart for e boy to do this hols n he was so anxious to do but we got a crawling gal at home so tough to do it n daddy was home early on mon so he could look aft Joann while mama does it w Ian.

This boy was so excited n eager to do his Barney sandart n finally decided to do outside our pl in case it gets messy n sand all over. It was a wise choice coz e boy really swirl sand all over, can't imagine if Joann took some while crawling ard. Anw outside was Gd too coz breezy n we could check out e neighbors. Hee Ian asked abt whatever noise he heard, guess we not used to activities outside our pl so Gd to be 'outdoors'!!! Gd evening time spent n e boy was so satisfied thinking he had a great art pc but well he's of e age to do it quite nicely except still messy hee

Stayover starts again!!

Ian has been asking for stayover up north several times n he's just so glad e hols r here! He went for 3D2N camp n we dropped by to visit them. See how happy he is to see his beloved mei2. He claims she's e one he missed most sigh, looks who's more impt huh hee

Anw he really could ask for wat he wants. He bought stickers, markers n even got Mac's hello kitty. No wonder he loves his stayover. Anw last few stayover at e north as e folks shld hv shifted at his next hols. Last few times huh.....
