Last ride home on Sch bus

Has been preparing Ian for this day. Decided to stop taking Sch bus aft taking for 8-9 mths coz po2 has shifted down n plans r that sometimes Ian would go their pl or our home so it seems hard to plan schedule so he's gonna walk.

Well his Sch bus taking has been a journey to see how Joann has grown. He started taking it home when she was born coz no vacany for taking it to Sch so he started w daddy fetching him. Initially with Joann's newborn sleeping schedule, had to risk having her nap at home while mama picks him just downstairs but timing can b an issue coz sometimes it comes back late.

Then slowly Joann grew with longer stretch of wakeful time n she could b left alone on playmat while mama picks Ian but still with a fretful heart w e little baby at home but no choice as weather was bad at that time n she was having bouts of cough.

Then came e time she was so movie n was Gd on pram so sitting on pram just to go downstairs was a highlight to a wkday. N now we shld b getting her on pram n sending Ian to Sch, up e steep slope, wonder how many times we will give in to catching a ride fm daddy as we recall how e boy perspires just walking there but Gd memories of it coz mama was expecting then. Tough to catch bus as it is super crowded tho it's just a bus stop away. Hmmm another chapter of walking or taking bus to Sch is abt to unveil, now it's 3 of us instead of just 2. Ian's gonna miss all e fun he has on bus ie exchanging biscuits or bread w friends or even buckling himself w seat belt on Sch bus. Wonder if he will request to take it again....

L-O-N-D-O-N

Some wks back, Ian came back saying he can spell London. Hmm wonder issit coz of Olympic that's y he's thot e word but it's fm Pastor who did fri chapel w them, wonder wat did e Pastor teach them abt London.

Anw some mths back Ian did talk abt castles n insisted mama bring him to England coz mama been there n so with London, he requested to go there hmm told him its v far away but he says he is fine w long flight. Ya, no sense of time yet then he changed his request to Australia then we explained mei2 too young then he asked for msia. Sigh wat can we say to a boy who is crazy abt going for hols!

But now he's quite keen on watching Olympics coz his minute to win it show has paused for Olympics. Well how time flies, 4 yrs ago mama was catching Beijing Olympics with him who was only 1yo+ n now he's grown to be an avid sport watcher hee

Last bit of memories at ah gong n po2 pl

Tonite was e last family dinner gathering up north. Alot of memories as mama grew up there n saw how we pass thru each phase of our lives n how each grandchild came abt.

So we took pics of e whole family there as its e pl where we had so much fun n fellowship over dinner. We would definitely keep e tradition at new pl but it's just an emotional ending at its e pl e old folks 'slogged' for e family n now they r moving to somewhere away fl where they r familiar. We certainly pray it will b for e better n that they will retire happily n healthily too.

For us, e kids dun feel a thing but it's a pl Ian had so many camp overs, w do a collage of how he grew fm a toddler to a pre-schooler now n for his keepsake when he grows up coz he had so much fun at e 'palace' where he is prince in e eyes of e grandparents as he indeed can get most of what he asks for. Things will b different when they shift closer tho he's asking to stayover w mei2. Hope he w continue to bring cheer to e old folks even at e new pl n no longer b a prince but learn to serve them too!

Olympic day run 2012

Yes, we made it again this yr tho v last minute reg but glad we could still register. Time flies, last yr we were still expecting Joann n this yr, she could go w us.

The kids had a Gd time despite e rain. We din walk/run e whole distance as it started raining bit. But e kids were entertained by activities going on n all e fun at e pl. guess they loved e stage performance n even e paper medal making. Will b back again next yr if there is ever such run again as its Gd for e kids to workout n hv fun at e same time

Sandart fun

Ian started asking why we dun go to ah mu's pl like we used to on fri b4 we had Joann. N tdy his wish came true when ah mu brought her kids along n we found a spot to do sandart. Initially it was outdoor but so coincidentally 1 of Ian's enrichment teacher was there so he shy-ed away n we found another spot which was Gd to sit down for sandart as it was breezy there n space for Joann to nap on pram.

The kids busy-Ed with their own pc of sandart n it was nice to b out of home. Thanks to ah mu n ah baa who then shared dinner w us coz daddy had to b late at work. It would hv been a long nite settling both kids but e dinner n time out made it a whole lot easier n now Joann is older, it's easier to settle both kids' bath alone n now Ian is sound asleep on bed, n Joann is still having her Rollin bed fun coz she took such a late nap. Well just glad wkend is here!

Ian is 5 yrs n 4 mths old

It has been half a mth of jun hols that Ian had much fun w e hols n stayover up at e north. Back home, he's having Gd time with e sister n alot of stuff he loves to do w e baby sister n she's e one he misses most when away fm home.

He loves hotel stay so much he even gave his own room a number, yes it's no. 547, wonder how this number comes abt but he truly loves hotel stay. Just e other day he heard jiu2 taking plane to msia n his immediate reaction was to follow him. Just follow anyone who is going hols. He was asking to hv bday party at gwc just like his classmate but once gave option of bday party or msia, he is sure to choose e latter.

He has started pri 2 of e Yamaha cse n he backed out on performance of his pri 1 just coz he din wanna sing in front of e crowd. Can't blame him coz it's quite intimidating but he's still keen on playing e piano so we continues n now his sister is joining him as 'accompanion' when he plays on piano, she w join him on e walker n stretching her fingers on e piano. Quite cute. Nice to hear how both r so used to being together! In e next mth or do, we shld make arrangement to hv them hv mummy time separately when po2 shifts down but sure want the sibling play together on certain days still. Nice growing up together!

3 course wedding lunch

Last sun, we attended auntie xiaowen's wedding at shangrila hotel. Ian's 1st reply to that was 'r we staying at e hotel aft e lunch?' sigh so much abt hotel stay n he's going crazy abt it.

Anw we went for his lunch at subway coz gather he won't fancy e sharks fin soup n all, he din take much at church refreshment so he had his 6 inch tuna sandwich n he was supp to finish his cookie during lunch reception but to our surprise, auntie Xiaowen had pre-empt e staff to get kid's meal for Ian (yes, she did ask if Ian needed lunch but gather he shld b fine to share w us but did say will check on kid's meal but din think they will hv)

So Ian had his special menu, it was 3 cse with cream of mushroom, fish n chips n even icecream sundae to end his meal. We had to leave half way for his music class but he managed to finish his 3 cse lunch n we only had half ours. Anw all e adults were eying on his fish n chips haha but we did convince him to share w auntie Salome since he had his sandwich already n auntie Salome prob prefer some western food. Well it was a nice lunch catching up w pple on our table n Ian was so caught up w e things going on e stage, we had some time to get him for his music class n he was so late. Well it has been some time we attended such lunch reception n glad we made it w both kids.

Our 1st visit to gardens by e bay

Heard so much n read so much abt it n tdy we decided to go there since its youth day n e kids r off fm Sch n daddy has taken pm lve. Yes, it was scorching hot when we reached there but soon saw dark clouds n just a mere 2 hrs there kept us busy looking ard e new pl n e kids were really excited.

Hmm think it's alot more flora n fauna here then botanical gardens, less steps n easier for prams (certainly Gd for us) din try those paid areas yet as we think perhaps not quite done coz can still see workers ard. But e plants cut into animal shapes did impress us n also all e info on plants pasted all over e pl.

The conservatories were really w long queues n reminds us alot of those places we visited eons ago at England hmm wonder if it's worth e visit. Well it's alot cooler in e domes n wonder how much e kids can appreciate hee. Will certainly b back, maybe for e skywalk although think its madness to charge for that walk which usually is foc when we go abroad. It was a Gd pm spent together n just so glad for time out of home n exploring a new pl
