Off to marina barrage

Every sat we try to go outdoors n tdy since its rather cloudy we decided to go marina barrage for picnic bf n some outdoor fun.

Ian is excited abt e new games we brought along which included kids badminton racquets, frisbee n his usual scooter. He was excited to start e games aft we r done w our bf. he went on playing w daddy n mummy n tho he din get on e game but we enjoyed e time just being outdoors n he was keen to take pics w e nice skyline. We r one of e few doing picnic there but was nice coz it's not hot n was breezy n we could enjoy e kites flying in e sky which we spotted a string of 50 kites yah cool rite. Guess we shld do this more often

CNY celeb in Sch

For days, Ian has been excited abt tdy coz it was time to 'perform' again hmm he has been rehearsing e songs for couple of wks n e day finally came. See his excited look in e morning having bf w mei2. Tdy was cny celeb in Sch n it's highlight for us as well coz we nv fail to feel e cny spirit going to his Sch so daddy is on lve so Joann came along w us.

It started w e usual assembly w national anthem n pledge then was e cny songs singing n alot of actions. Then e teachers put up a cny skit n then was e k2s to say cny idioms which Ian said 新年蒙福 n then it was their song n dance 福音就是好消息 n 爱从哪里来 n felt was v appropriate to remind all of e good news n where love is from as his 王老师 wrapped up e singing to remind all of this God of love n we ought to spread e Gd news.

Then it was class time n e teacher came up w an interesting game abt putting an Ang bao behind a person's back n chasing him b4 sitting down, abit like what we used to play n e kids had fun n then it was time for his teacher to give out Ang bao n Ian took pic w his 3 other most fav friends. We would miss going such christian cny celeb until Joann's time we suppose

Reunion dinners!!

Yest we had reunion dinner w ah gong n ah maa at a jap restaurant at valley pt n e kids were delighted as it was mega sushi time coz they love sushi. Saw Ian eating alot w yaki tori(din know he liked it so much) anw it was a Gd start to e long wkend as we all unwind aft Sch n work. The grandparents were e happiest to see e grand kids enjoying themselves n took a nice pic w flowers.

Tdy we had reunion dinner w ah gong n po2 n this yr it's so much closer our pl n we could stay later w all e feasting n e kids just had lots of fun at e usual hangout pl n yes their fav yusheng. Well just a start to e busy cny ahead n certainly a fruitful one huh

N for e fun of family gathering, both Ian n Joann wore e same tee for both nites. Yest was an orange jacket n tdy a red tee fm dayi!

1 more mth to 6th bday

Yes, it's this close. 1 more mth to Ian turning 6yo n he can't wait ESP with 2 classmates celebrating bday in mth of feb n he's been requesting for BIRTHDAY PARTY! Guess aft a yr of attending classmates bday parties n climax was mei2's so he knows it's fun but it's nv been our tradition to celebrate (Joann was an exception as we wanted both families to gather) anw mama also not keen to celeb in Sch aft last yr's rara n besides this yr his bday is on sat so a better excuse not to since since no Sch haha. So ya will plan a short trip out of spore to 'entice' him away fm bday party rara

Yes, this mth he also his series of classes. His usual Sunday music class has now increased to tue Chinese class n Sch term he has mon art n fri hanyu pinyin plus swimming class. Sounds packed wk but yet it doesn't tire this boy coz can see how his body is working w lesser sleeping time now guess he's growing up. Even wo nap n long days like mon n fri he stays in Sch till 2pm, he doesn't go bed earlier than 9pm. Preparing for p1 ya haa would prefer he sleeps more

Anw he's getting interesting art class lessons like e snake sock he made in art class, ya so much for yr of snake n he even had Chinese calligraphy yes they write their own Chinese painting character. Hmm maybe his handwriting is not that bad coz he did get a grade A for a piece of writing hmm maybe it's just work at home that he doesn't write so neatly all e time. He does get home work time w mama daily while Joann goes po2's pl but there r days she's home n we can't do much work n yes, getting him to do serious work like prep Chinese n music class n also memory verse for Sunday Sch. A v Gd time we r having 1 to 1 n there r days he w ask not go po2's pl n stay home but we can't coz mei2's there n we gotta bring her back. Hopefully can do more work aft cny coz been having a changing schedule wk n soon his spelling shld come, aft his bday!

For time being, it's cny n he's enjoying family time ESP w mei2 tho there r times he gets irritated by mei2's mess n destroyance but that's part of siblinghood rite hee. Counting down to his 6th bday!
