Visit to the science ctr

Aft seeing on tv that there is a science fest for kids so told daddy to get science ctr pass n we went yest. Well some activities for kids to find out more abt DNA, vaccines n genes. It was Gd time for us adults to learn even. Ian put on this headgear as mosquito n tried to throw ball to pass germs infecting pple. Quite funny but Gd way to show kids how mosquitoes can spread germ to them.

Did a earthquake search activity to learn abt DNA n we ended the tour w a cotton candy floss at the end but Ian just din know what was it n din like it.

We then proceeded to the usual exhibits area n Ian is certainly curious abt everything as he roamed ard on his own, yes usually he will make sure we r ard but this time he really curious to find out abt stuff n will b stuck at some stations for a Gd time like this science ctr staff which I guess has this love to teach science as he brought props to show electricity so some kids were invited to try n Ian saw this girl with some electricity passing thru her as her hair stood alittle n Ian was abit apprehensive although e guy thot him how to 'unearth' himself (coz he was wearing rubber shoes ie crocs) n finally tried sth he felt 'safe' but later got electricity shock as daddy touched him so it was science in real life.

Think we hv been here at least 3 times (with Ian's Sch outing last yr too) but could really see Ian's interest this round in science. Guess it's e growing up or he's abit like his daddy v interested in science. It would b fun when later in pri Sch as he will learn better coz we did some 'video-recording' in a studio like place of sound effects for tv show n Ian loved it haha. We had some Gd fun inside w Joann as well. Will b back again sometime later, maybe when they hv kids stuff again

A rare Thursday treat

We got notified by Sch last wk that tdy Ian's class would b having speech n drama performance but po2's not free to look aft Joann as such we will bring her along like last yr. contemplated whether to go but again glad we made it coz Ian was 1 of the few to have special lines to say. Just amazes us how the kids could express themselves so well vocally at such young age n glad the sch has this special module coz we would not have exposed Ian to such drama course. Yes, daddy took pm lve to watch his performance n it's such a rare chance n it coincided w Ian's sleeping thru on his own bed the night before so it was a little treat for him to go for a show aft his school which he has been bugging us to go for 'despicable me 2' movie n so we seized e chance to go JB for the show!

Yes, a rare treat for thurs n Ian loved e minion as he took pic w them. Guess he's really tired by the time he reached bed but he's real happy to go for movie n whatmore at JB. This is a real treat fm daddy to make such a normal Thursday so so eventful!

Ian is 6 yrs n 4 mths old

This jun mth has been such a fun mth for Ian. We were at legoland several times, had staycation at JB n many stayover at po2's pl n with the church camp at Melaka. Just glad we had an escape fm haze days as we were away at Melaka so well Ian did wear mask for some days while in Melaka so we had 'experience' of having mask.

With the many trips to legoland, Ian is still asking to go more coz he enjoys every roller coaster ride n wonder if we would renew e annual pass but a lot of fond memories we had there. 

N he did hv fun at sentosa going to the SEA aquarium w his cousins n the playmobil fun! Guess the baking of pizza came easy aft his Sch outing at pasta mania. 

Did hv some days out with him while Joann naps at po2's pl n it's nice to hv 1 to 1 time (tho we hv weekly but usually it surrounds doing work) n nice to go swensens eating his fav n really shopping ard alone w him n looking for his fav smurf but this boy has grown as in knowing things n checking things out n walking long distances to go central lib, museum, bugis n to raffles city for Lego fun. It's like back to single kid days n more fun now that he's older. We shld do this every hol! Otherwise it's a lot of monkeying ard w Joann at po2's pl n his sister does enjoy his company!

Well this mth he had some changes to his schedule. Instead of usual tue class at berries, we swopped to Sunday n his usual Sunday Yamaha has ceased n will b having wed piano class at home. Glad he enjoyed his 1st Sunday berries class last sun as the class had more girls n shld b a lot more calmer but well hope he continue to enjoy his class tho wonder how long he ought to go on as we only intended for him to pick up hanyu pinyin. 

Yes, final semester of k2 n he took his grad pic last wk, so early yes n he's excited abt wearing e gown n carrying e scroll but we would only get e pics some mths later n glad he's enjoying back at Sch n we would b enrolling him for p1 soon n trust God will lead him to a Sch which he would grow best in.

Layang layang fun at marina barrage

Saw this event promoted on tv n thot we shld bring e kids there since it was such a sunny am. Yes, we were thrilled by the international kite fliers fm all over the world n amazing kites flown in the sky. It was real hot but the pple r so professional n even saw this performance by the Japanese when 3 individuals flew 3 kites side by side n according to the music rhythm n it was just so synchronized. Wow an eye opener for us who barely could try get our kite flying in the sky. The event held by pub is to celebrate 30th anniverary of spore kite association. Haha nv knew this association existed.

Well we intended a short stay but the emcee was cajoling parents to stay for the kids 'lolli-drop' at 11am. Yes we were there really early like 9 n had to linger ard for 2 hrs. It was easy just going ard to pose w e Wally, the kids had fun w the bee n ladybug wind mill there n then was the glorious kite flying performances n then went for the fountain fun b4 it was finally the lolli drop which we thot was just grab a lolly n go but no, they had a tiger soft toy tied to a flying kite n they will unzip the soft toy pouch n lots of lolli tied as parachute will b dropped n scattered for the kids to grab n boy the kids went chasing aft them n Ian was so excited to grab them n he did come home with lots of parachutes. It was an interesting way to let the kids hv fun, it's abit like piñata except no violence involved hee n well it's only sweets but e kids had so much fun n they had 4 rounds of it. Wow interesting way to get kids involved n we finally left the hot place to cool down but thumbs up for the event which we din expect to hv so much fun!

Our little performer, more than a dancer!

Well what we like abt Ian's Sch is the wide array of activities the students r exposed to. So for his k2 he has this hip hop dance class which we could tell he enjoys a lot! It's on every mon n he comes back showing us the 'new moves' he learnt n maybe u dont hv to talk much so he got really Gd report fm the teacher!

Yes, with Gd remarks n the teacher personally admires his calmness even when learning tough steps to follow. Well he's got positive feedback for every category n we r so proud of him. Did notice that he's got this precision for every move step he does for his every 'performance' since nursery yr coz his Sch does hv a lot chances for 'performance' be it Sch concert or festivity the Sch celebrates. N for last yr k1 yr end concert, Ian did hv a remark fm his classmate's mum that he's such a Gd dancer coz her's son was beside Ian n replaying e DVD u could see Ian was so precise on his step according to the song. Yes, this yr end graduation concert his class has been selected to do hip hop dance coz there are great dancers in the class! Hmmm will b so looking fwd to our little dancer's performance well but not saying much to him yet not to give him any pressure but just glad he's doing well for this out of norm activity coz we prob wont send him to such dance class if not for his Sch n this is sth worth recording
