Daddy's bday!

This day on daddy's bday he has a classmate who shares same bday as daddy n even got a goodie bag fm Sch which he claims he will share w daddy. 

Yest we had lunch together at Ian's fav restaurant jack's pl, wonder whose bday it is but sure glad when he knew daddy was going lunch w us. A good time spent even with evening back home playing games w Daddy on such wkday nite was Sth v different which the kids loved! Happy bday, daddy!

Ian is 7 yrs n 10 mths old

Another has passed n it's the start of Sch. He had a good hols break n was apprehensive as the yr starts. Guess he had too much fun. He went for his 1st colouring contest at the book fest, went to play with the 'snow' at tanglin mall n endless singing sessions w Joann back home. Yes, the new yr started n he joined the church children's choir. So our Sundays are different w his new schedule. He has to have quick lunch to make it for his berries class. The new started with him going different Chinese class in Sch as there is banding done n so things seem to b going faster n tougher w the new class he is in. Hmm guess time to speed up!

He had a lot of swimming sessions in hols n explains y he is getting tanner n guess more w Friday swims w such hot weather. He still managed to sneak into the ikea tampines in jan as they are more lenient w his height. He measures 1.36m in Sch n defintely over the 1.3m limit. 1 of the last few shots of him w mei2 at smaleland.

With mei2 with him on wkdays, he enjoys the novelty of mei2 sending him to Sch n even picking him w mummy. Hope more time together bond them closer too! The yr beckons for new challenges n more fun too I hope! 

Staycation at village hotel changi

Daddy promised us a surprise aft 1st day of Sch (yes, even mama knows nothing abt) but daddy was kidding w Ian that we might zoom off aft Joann is off fm Sch, he could sneak off w us at recess else someone would pick him aft Sch haha that made the boy v worried, he asked mama several times what the surprise was but mama din know either.

Well coz of our upcoming anniversary so daddy secretly booked a hotel stay at changi village. Only got Ian a bao to eat while we headed to east. Both kids napped to the pleasant surprise n we all dived into the infinity pool which oversees the sea. Was a nice pool coz we had it to ourselves for quite a while. We then headed to changi village mkt for our Nasi Lemak fix. Was so full aft so many yummy food there n kids were v high spirit even just playing in the hotel room b Ian loved the room till he wished that was his house! Yes, 4 of us squeezed into 2 twin beds n was cool coz we never tried squeezing in b4 n now we know we can haha.

Next morning we woke up to glorious weather for outdoor fun. We went changi beach for sand fun n there was a playground for the kids to expend their energy n then head back for more swim n fun. The kids had final play in bath tub n then was lunch in room b4 we checked out n both were exhausted that they couldn't wake up fm their nap in car as we went ikea tampines for their smaleland fun haha n Ian managed to go in(pretty lenient at the east ikea) n all were happy w dinner there n finally headed home to rest for the tired bodies haha. Was great fun w such surprise staycation n both wished it could go on...

1st day as P2

A yr has passed n we could still rem how nervous Ian was last yr, not knowing his teacher n friends but tdy he knew what he was into, his classroom n even what food he wanted for recess.

Nothing much changed except Sch timing n he is still 1st grp leader n see same friends n hear some hols experiences. His Chinese teacher n co form teacher changed n he's got a new classroom to adjust to. Otherwise nothing much but certainly more observant of news in Sch as he could come back n relate all the news to us. Onward we go on to P2!
