CNY at sitiawan

Ian was supposed to sing with his class on cny Eve but our trip to sitiawan meant that we gotta set off on the day b4 Eve (in order to beat the jam) n IAN had to miss his 'performance'. A little disappointed but he knows the 'fun' he gets in exchange. 

We made it there at 10pm aft zooming off straight aft his Sch. Glad there wasn't any massive jam n no kids tantrum in car. Our mission was to b there for cny with grand aunt's family n so glad we made it to spend some good moments with the family. 

Staying in a home stay in a huge house was a bonus for the kids as they had a whale of time n even having all the fireworks n crackers feast all ard the neighborhood. It was long long nites when we stayed there n kids were all tired up. But the fun makes up for all tiredness. Visitation is a lot of fun as we there was a swing almost in every house n the spore kids all love it. Endless spread of goodies were offered n it's always nice to meet relatives esp this we hardly meet. Do hope we can have this kind of fun every yr but the traveling is a lot of hassle. Glad we made it back this yr

On this Valentine's Day...

On this special day, we spent the day with our loved ones. We visited the fire station n then peranakan museum upon request by the kids (fire station by Joann n museum by Ian) n ended up Ian enjoying the fire station visit more. There was a station w water gun kind of spray n Ian was running ard to get himself wet w the water jets! Each kid was given a helmet n it looks kind of fun exploring each statin, Ian had a hands on experience with the hand spray n then see the fire fighters sliding down the piles. We have been here a couple of times but each time they do change the array of activities n made it fun for the kids n informative too. Guess Ian is older to appreciate it now

Peranakan museum was just a go round to do stamping kind of activity but it was near enough for us to swing by. 

We had our early reunion dinner w the Chng clan b 1st yr we are missing jiu2's family n it was for a change as we enter Aston for dinner! Kind of will miss the fun in the cny eve but we would b back soon to reunite again! Happy Valentine's Day n thank God for family love on this special day!

Another mth to his 8th bday

Yes, the boy is looking fwd to his 8th bday n requesting to pack his goodie bag for his friends. Oh gosh Thot that was in Kindy yrs but yes, his classmates started giving again last yr end n he wanna do the same. Hope it's the last, Thot they will outgrow this giving of goodie bags???

Anyway, this has been the real start of p2 mth coz now we see him coming back w a lot more homework n it's such a contrast w p1 life. Issit the start of homework engine? Well he isn't worried, just taking his time to do his own work at own pace. Spelling n 听写 gotten a lot tougher but he takes it in his own stride saying it's tough to get full marks right.

This wk he started Bsf on mon evening with daddy n he gets him half past 9 n guess he has not enough sleep as he said he almost dozed off in class the next day. Hope he presses on for studying God's Word.

Other than that, he's singing a lot more this mth whenever doing homework as he started church choir n also his Chinese class supposed to perform for cny Eve so it's endless cny songs but too bad we won't b ard so he won't get to b on stage n the singing shld cease w the cny over? Dunno but he's making us sing together for the cny song w 4 stanzas!!! Haha yes cny coming up n shld b some fun b4 the test wk comes! N that is when he will then truly celebrate his 8th bday aft that test wk😅
