Families for life picnic

The picnic day came but surprisingly not as big scale as we Thot it might be. We had loads of fun just taking pics with the booth they have. Invited ah Mu n ah baa as Thot nearby for them. The kids loved all the fun planned n food too! Had popcorn, milo, nuts, chips n even game booths. Guess it was nice way to chill out on mats n eating dinner in a different environment n it's nice to be in nature n certainly the kids enjoyed themselves v much w all activities given out even cookie decoration, balloon sculpture, kite decoration etc. just so glad we made it tdy n weather was good!

He is 8 yrs n a mth old

A mth has just passed aft Ian's 8th bday but he's started planning his next bday (oh gosh!) yes, told Dayi all abt his wants list but it's another 11 mths to go. This mth, most significant event gotta b daddy away for a wk coz mummy put pressure on the only man in the family haha. Yes endless Skype sessions n trying to time with daddy's awake time proved to b hard. Well we did have program lined up so the kids won't feel too much of the 'missing dad' for a week. Glad to have dayi w us for a wkend (at least to be with us out of home but sure a treat to the foodie boy) n timely invite to the kohs' pl to do some baking for Easter n a lot of driving help fm ah mu n ah baa n yes, a lot of driving tests for mummy coz gotta fetch the kids to Sch n getting them back home as per routine. So glad this doesn't come often n told ian, maybe it's mummy's turn to go hols but it was an astounding NO. Sigh what a life!

Yes, the other significant event was LKY's passing on as it kind of made Ian's life abit different. Without any tv time, he seems bored n zz v early n wake up early too. A lot of qns asked abt our nation- a good history learning time n we went SBG to pay our tribute but the boy abit lost for words to write hmm

The other event that mattered to us Christians is Easter n Ian was so glad to b in choir to sing for Easter this yr- sing for joy n truly teaching him the joy of salvation. Took a rather long break fm Bsf  n he is back last mon n hope momentum to doing Bsf hw comes back soon! To the next mth we go...

Bday celeb for mummy

Well another yr older for mummy. It was a  in am. Well some couple time while kids r at Sch n had a good jap lunch with Joann (yes, wo ian coz would b a late lunch aft his Sch) 

Dinner was at jack's pl, yes Ian's fav restaurant n not much choice as wanted somewhere sheltered as was raining. This was the pic we took with the mango tart at the restaurant n another collage pic taken by ah mu when we had advanced bday celeb on good Friday n that was yummy durian cake! Tks for all the well wishes n certainly praying for good health n good kids for yrs to come n to draw closer to God!

Picnic time!!!

For some strange reason, our kids love picnic n we did attend some mega picnic so tdy felt strange we were the only ones eating bf on the lawn haha. Yes bought the traditional kaya butter spread yest from bakery itself n Ian loves the plain bread w tuna spread. Brought fruit n cookies as well! Seems a lot more prepared tdy n preparing for the mega one next sat but hope it would b fine weather like tdy. Enjoyed the family time eating away n being so close to nature. Feels v different Saturday n glad we had this family picnic time n endless selfie shots coz the boy was reminded to bring tdy! 

Then was the usual fish feeding time but ian was overwhelmed by the swarm of birds waiting there n soon we headed to their fav swinging. Never mind if it's hot but the kids just love swinging on them, since we found out they are at SBG, we have been here a few times n tdy finally got a shot of us on it! So thankful for such long Wkend family time out
