On a rare thu afternoon

We have planned this noon out a wk ago coz seth is off from sch today as he's having an e-learning day so we planned to take the kids out for a movie (again The Lorax) hahhaaa coz we got tics to finish up and so here we are at Cineleisure Orchard and guess Joann has been the most cooperative one after her long nap at home, we went off to Orchard and she's good in the pram and later carried her thru the show and she dozed off in mama's arms and then continued her zzz in the pram and later wake up while we were abt to have our early dinner hehhee

Here's Ian with his order of swiss burger as he wanted cheese and burger well it was a nice treat as it was still lunch set special till 5pm and we have been to AppleBee when they were babies and here we are back again but now they could order a set for themselves....while Joann was in her pram and entertaining herself so she has been the best for the day!!!

Later the kids all asked for a balloon and for once Joann was busying looking out for the balloons as her eyes couldn't take off from the colourful balloons as u could see from the pic hahhaa but it was a nice noon out with the kids and the bb!! Well such chances hard to come by as was telling ah mu how we used to do such stuff when we had Ian and Joy only and Joann hardly has such privilege tho she is accredited the best on pram hahhaaa guess she loves to be out on a normal weekday too huh

1st cars Lego

Ian has been playing his duplo Legos for some yrs n we also got him e Legos set but e pcs r too small so we hv put it aside esp with e arrival of mei2 as we r not sure if he could handle e small pcs by himself n might hv loose pcs ard e house.

Anw daddy has a set of cars Lego set - Ivan Mater (if u do know e cars characters well enough) its a truck. Last sun, while mama was making Joann nap, was surprised Ian was quietly in living rm by himself. N later discovered he was fixing this Lego set by himself. Wow e instructions bk was so clear he did step by step by himself (only needing help in parts which needed more strength to push in) n it was for 5-12 yo. Hhmm seems like he truly enjoyed e fixing together n shld consider letting him play e set we bought a yr ago? But felt mei2 might crawl soon n e small pc might b dangerous if she does pop them. Hmm anw this cars set is a Gd gift as its small set n when done, it can b a Gd toy to play (rather than getting those toy cars) it just reminds us of those days when Ian is always interested in fixing stuff n always interested in what e daddy does w his tools....is it a boys' thing? Hmm

Pasta MANIA!!

Today finally know e meaning of pasta mania hee all thanks to NFC again, we got $100 to spend tdy coz e vouchers expire tmr. So we ordered a whole table of pasta n pizza n was so much we all ate so much n could still pack some home. It indeed promote family 1st as we all feast at this pasta mania at fusionopolis as it was a quiet town n we had a Gd time over food. It just reminds us of e Gd old days when pizza hut had pizza buffet hee coz there was sweet pizza served too. We had apple crumble pizza n was kindof nice n just rem of pizza hut when they had blueberry ones?

A Saturday of FUN!

Ian knew tdy we were going for movie 'the lorax' as he got e stickers fm lib some wks back. Wonder issit coz of that he woke up early tdy. Anw thanks to the national family council, we got movie tics fm Cathay n dayi helped to 'chope' seats early coz this is e 1st time we r going cinema for movie coz we r so used to going discovery ctr for show n e last was at GV so Ian was happy to get popcorn treat together w e show! Yes, he can't wait to go for e movie while we were waiting for our seating.

It was a nice show n we went in w Joann too (how could we lve her out!) she was Gd, exploring in place even tho was dark n enjoyed e show as alot of songs n eventually fell asleep on daddy's arms. Yeah Gd attempt but we got e last row of seats in case need pat her but she was cooperative. N Ian was attentive all e way, guess quite seasoned aft a few shows! N was Gd teaching him abt being responsible n lately he's learning abt how plants grow n so it was visual for him to see it grow! Dun mind catch e show again hee!

N we went lunch w dayi thereaft for teppanyaki at west coast plaza. We r so used to central n was nice to explore this mall in e west n we enjoyed e lunch n e part Ian enjoyed most prob was seeing how e tissue could 'grow' by watering it. Yes, look at e pic. It came looking like tablets but grew to b wet wipe for us! It was a day of fun n adjourned to north for family dinner which is usually filled w more fun! Ian must b smiling in his dreams tonite hee

Vegetales puppets!

Tdy for art n craft time we did paper puppets...hmm for not so vege lover, he was excited to do the puppets just coz he loved puppets. Yes he does hv some cloth puppets (even took over some which came banded together w mei2's diapers)

Well tdy was a fun craft time coz mama dug some stuff out coz got this Vegetales set quite some time n now that Joann's nap is more consistent we could do more stuff when need e boy to b quiet

Chinese painting in school

Since e start of e yr, there has been Chinese painting included into Ian's cirriculum n that day we were in ian's Sch for bday celeb so we got a chance to view Ian's painting as we hardly go to Sch so every wk it's only looking at how Ian doodle on his whiteboard that we know wat fruit he drew. Last yr when mama sent him to Sch, we will always see e K1's drawing n hv some time guessing e fruit.

This time it was our time to guess. He has learnt to hold e brush to draw grapes, cherries, strawberries, bananas, watermelon n apple. Hhmm quite an achievement ESP having to write his Chinese name on every painting. Anw glad there is this special class for him to learn Chinese painting n he's sure enjoying e class as he loves painting!

A FAMILY vacation 15- 17 Mar 2012

This family vacation was planned more than 6 mths ago even before the babies were born as it has been so long since the whole chng clan went on hols....the last was abt 2 yrs ago when we went to Genting Highlands together and so the kids were so looking fwd esp Ian who has been asking when are we going Msia with jiu2 and Auntie Lorraine coz mama did tell him of this hols coming up so he kept asking and it was finally here! Here are the kids upon check into the Austin Heights hotel just a short drive up the causeway and alot of memories for the adults at least coz we had been here when we were in our teens hahhaaa so now we are back with kids so the place is a little old but yet lots of space for the kids and also the facilities!

Meeting point was at Tebrau where we had our lunch and grabbed some groceries and a cake for po2 as it coincided with her bday on the 1st day of the trip! And we are so glad to be on holiday together and dayi will join us the following day due to her work!

And at the hotel we celebrated po2's bday with a brownie cake from Secret Recipe and yes cakes are so cheap in Msia and they are HUGE....we had it for 3 days hhmm too chocolately to take it a go !

Then it was time to hit the pool to work out the calories we took at lunch and the bday cake....and Joann had her nice cool swim in the float Jiu2 had brought along for Caitlin and we were glad there was a float for her else it would be tiring to carry and float ard the pool....at least for the pool it was hands free and she had such a relaxing swim thanks to Jiu2 and Auntie Lorraine

Then we hit out for a shabu shabu steam boat dinner to celebrate po2's bday and it was kindof nice place coz the steamboat would have been too warm for us but the cool breeze came for the 'hot' food hehhee and it was yummy with the beef, huge prawns and all! We then adjourned for dessert which was just next door....too full for the whole day of feasting for the next bfast ehehe

Despite the lack of sleep the 1st day,the kids still woke up early and chirpy to continue the hols and here is Ian with his bfast and he had so much which made us wonder if he had too much food the previous day to keep up with the stomach filling hhmm

It was then to the malls as the kids went for the arcade games which was much cheaper than Spore and mama has told Ian that he could go for joy rides and arcade only in Msia hehhee and here he's introduced to his 1st Animal Kaizer cards which he learnt from Seth gor2 and here are the 2 boys playing their games!

After we had this yummy lunch at a nice restoran which serves nice yummy pork chop, bitter gourd soup we went back hotel for more swimming hhhaaa it was as if we were deprived of swim in Spore coz the pool was closed for cleaning in the morning so we went out to mall and went straight to the pool at 2pm when the sun was scorching but we still went but hid under the shady part under the slides hehhee and here is Joann in the float again and she seemed at times dozing off the nice cooling swim

After the swim we then headed to Danga Bay to meet up with dayi for our reunion dinner hehehee at this seafood place which we could see sunset where we were sitting coz it was just beside the bay and there were lots of live seafood for the kids to view upclose in their tanks!

The reason why we were here was for the kids to have their amusement park fun and here are their tickets before they gone off to play their games!

And here are their 'prizes' - smurf puzzles for the 2 younger ones and Seth got this stickers and then they went on for more games and this time we managed to 'bargain' for a prize for Ian as he badly wanted a carebear toy and he was so glad to get the toy as we din manage to capture a shot with him with that toy but that nite he brought the toy to sleep sigh.....in exchange for RM$8 huh

To end the nite they all went for a round at the tea cup ride and Ian was spinning the cup so fast he concentrated in turning the cup inside of looking out as it could be too dizzy hhmm well this time we captured it down in video for them to view when they are older huh

the next morning,, ah mu and ah baa were so kind to take orders and to buy back Mac bf for all as there was this nearby macs drive thru and the kids loved it and Ian gobbled up his muffin so quickly and we even had bean curd with you tiao for the heavy bfast hhhmm

And it was the 3rd adn final swim for the kids and Joann was in the pool again hehhee if only she could speak she might say 'AGAIN' well well but she seemed to love it and this time Auntie lorraine came with Caitlin and the cousins were all in the pool together....so much fun!

Here are the 5 cousins in their swimgear and it was nice that Joy could carry Caitlin on her lap so we could capture this nice shot and perhaps capture it again some time later and see how they all have grown!

And here together with all the ladies and it has been such a fun trip and Ian couldn't believe we were coming back and wanted another nite stay well well but all gd things must come to an end and we could do it again since we all enjoyed the vacation together! Just thank God for the gd weather that we could have so many swims and also gd drive throughout the 3 days and so much fun and laughter we had shared!

Opening prezzies time!!!

The moment Ian has been waiting for... Been too busy over his bday wkend so 1st day of Sch hols we did e opening prezzies n e boy was delighted to get e prezzies! He bugged us to let him open them when he got them a wk ago but we said his bday not here yet.

Nonetheless he ripped open the present fm jiu2 n auntie Lorraine on e nite he got them (perhaps influence by Seth who said it was BIG present hee) but yest he then opened e box n it was junior chef which comes w a chef hat n apron. Really cute! Thanks n we shld try some of e food n smoothies, he's most keen on choc cookies hee interesting bk n most kids friendly

He 1st got present fm dayi n was hard to ask him to wait coz tat was e start of his bday waiting. Yest he was delighted to get his fav smurfs DVD n insisted on watching it n we did while Joann took her nap! Yes, that's how much he loved smurfs n yes, we shld not forget the other gift n start reading the bible!

The other gift fm ah mu n ah baa was an animal farm game n he was so excited to play n kept asking mama to read instructions n we played abt 5 rounds of that! Hmmm it's a true joy for him to get all e gifts n he was happy e whole day! Yeah end of his bday counting! Thanks for all ur gifts n love for this 5yo boy n he shld start counting down to his 6th bday w all e fun n glamour he had for his 5th, he's surely looking fwd to his 6th!

Staycation to celebrate Ian's birthday 9-10 Mar 2012

This is the staycation which Ian has been asking for since the last time we stayed was almost a yr ago and it was his 1st wk of sch to celebrate our wedding anniversary adn he remembered tis hotel coz of teh flowers found near the pool and he loves the bath tub....yea today we were back again and he was asking it since we picked him from sch bus adn he din wanna take much lunch as he wanted to go hotel soon.....here we are at the pool and he was having a fun time at the kids pool by himself as there were hardly anyone there at the pool

Then we headed to the changi chalet for dayi to check into her chalet for her hostel pple and then we headed to Changi Museum and Chapel there as daddy has been to the Bark Cafe there recently and thot Ian would love the chicken wings there as it's their specialty and of coz the chic wing lover loved it! It's yummy and he had a gd dinner there as it was his bday dinner as he din wanna eat much for lunch!

It was a surprise how the chapel and museum now have a cafe beside adn we haven't been here for ages adn it seemed quite popular dinner place as the car park was really packed by the time we were abt to go adn some cars parked on grass patch, guess we hardly come to the East else we could come for their specialty chicken wings

Yea nice cool place to chill out if u drink especially else there are quite alot of mozzies as Joann got bitten there hhmm coz she was zzz in the pram while we busy with the food hehehe she's the 'sacrifice' for the gd food!

And then we headed back hotel for the boy's bath tub fun and then we celebrated his bday closure with this choc moose cake which dayi got for him else we had leftover of the Tweety bird cake from sch which the kids couldn't quite finish and the boy who was so shy in sch asking for the smallest pc was in fact wallowing up the cake that nite hahaha what a contrast huh!

Anw we are sure the boy has a gd day of surprises adn fun on his 5th bday as he was tired when he reached bed but was still not knocking out fast enough....perhaps going thru the happenings in the day or planning how his 6th bday shld be....oh no....hahhaaa

He had such a long day that he slept into the next morning and woke up real late and welcomed by a whole spread of brekkie in the room as daddy went hotel opp parkway there to get noodles, prata and nasi lemak and the boy had lots to eat as if his bday spill over the next day huh and he went for his dip into the pool again as the weather looks gd adn mei2 joined him as well for her maiden swim hehehhee As the breakfast was late and heavy so upon check out we headed to the I12 Katong mall just behind the hotel to check out the new mall and we had Toast Box for lunch and the boy was still eating lots...wonder where his breakfast went to hhmm well we had a gd staycation just to celebrate the boy's big 5 and was tiring tho hehhee that marks the start of his 1 wk sch break!

Ian's 5 years old TODAY!!!

Yes, he is finally 5 and the day has arrived!!! hahaaa was looking thru the past yrs pics and how this boy has grown! Not only in the number of hair, words, looks but also the size of our family! Here's us celebrating his 1st birthday! Yes, his very 1st bday! It was a yam cake(bought by jiu2 and auntie lorraine fm Angie's choice)....nv mind abt the flavor coz he can't eat yet! HHEEE

Then the 2nd bday u can see he can say CHEESE knowing we are taking pics and he's just turning 2yo! It's a choc banana cake from secret recipe from ah gong and po2!
And here at 3yo, he's grabbing his cake knife coz he knows he's got the power to hold the knife hhmmm and it's a mickey mouse cake probably chosen by us coz he doesn't have a preference for any character or cake yet!

Here's his 4th bday cake and obviously chosen by him as he loves Toy Story then and here we are at ah maa and ah gong's place to celebrate his bday! And there he's still saying he's 1yo hahhaaa

And then this yr his 5th bday which he chose Stitch coz not much other choices hahhaa tho he did choose tweety for his sch celeb.....and yes, we got an addition to our family and looking at it, this boy has indeed grew much! We truly thank God for this boy who's definitely v different from us when we were younger in terms of speech and activeness hahhaaa but he's a joy to us all esp to his dear mei2 who can't express the excitement she feels with him ard and yes, we are continuing praying for him to know God personally 1 day and that's the same bday prayer we have every yr which is never changing coz that's the most impt thing that shld happen in the boy's life! Continue to watch him grow!
