Family Day out!!!

We have been at the National Family Celebrations last yr coz Seth wanted to take a pic with his fav Ben10 and then we got to know abt this yrly event which is held meant to foster closer family ties by spending deliberate time together as a family and since we have always been doing it, so this yr we thot why not support it.....yea and when they 1st asked to solicit suggestions for this coming event mama thot why not give some suggestions to make this event meaningful and mama suggested families coming together to make pledge how they will spent deliberate time together and well this suggestion was implemented (hahhaaa reminds mama of those days when we had those suggestions scheme in her workplace) anw for that, we got 2 movie tics (so waiting for the day to watch a movie we would love to watch)

Then later the pledging starts on FB and we could win tics for the day's event and mama thot why not try to pledge sth since we have been doing it and then we got tics for the hippo tour hheeee and was glad we could share with our bigger family ie ah mu, ah baa's family and with dayi =) =) =)
Guess the happiest were the kids as they have always been talking abt hippo tours when we see them on the road and even Ian was 'yearning' to sit on hippo bus to see his fav Singapore flyer (yea now this roadmark is Spore flyer not even our home...wherever we go, he will ask where is the Spore flyer and would be most delighted to pass by that...hhmm trying to get tics for that hehee) and we went down for the event at Palawan beach to take our hippo bus....

And of coz to enjoy the ride it made sense to sit at the upper deck and here we are the whole gang at the upper deck getting our needful 'sun-tan' and proud to say we are the only family in the sun hahaa coz the upper deck was 1/3 with covered shelter but guess having the open top made the hippo tour more meaningful so we sat there thru our whole 25 mins journey....

We went on for more fun at the beach as there were so many booths for us to visit....there was a badge making, some kids tatoo-ing, balloon sculpture, sand making, sand art making, magic shows, even games and trampolin....guess we had so much heat on us that we thot was enough heheee

And here are the kids taking their lunch at the super crowded food court as alot of pple were waiting for the goodie bags....we thot it was madness to collect the bags but well when we abandoned the idea of the massive queue, the queue got much shorter and we got tons of goodie bags as 1 of the stalls was also dishing out to our kids while they were playing their games....anw it was a fun day out with the family and guess the kids really had their dreams coming true by taking the hippo bus =)

The kids had a nap on the go and when they woke up we thot since the weather was gd, we could go take a dip and here are the kids having their water fun at 1North NTU Alumni club....guess it was truly a family day out coz thereafter we went ah maa and ah gong's place for dinner before we gonna miss them for 2 wks since they are going for their Europe tour....so envious of the 2 old folks taking their honeymoonssss =)

We love public holiday!

On Thur nite at po2's place, Ian din wanna come home and when he knew the next day was PH and daddy would be off from work he was truly delighted and was excited abt what we would do on the day....well we all love long wkends and esp for Ian who's always waking up in the morning and asking where is daddy and if daddy's home, he would be calling 'Daddy....daddy' in his sheep bed else he will know its another day with mummy hehee...now he knows Sun is go Sun Sch, monday is bible sch, tuesday is stay @home, Wed is go po2's place and thur he won't see mama and Fri will be meeting gor2, jie2 day and Sat is daddy's home day!!! That makes a whole wk!
Anw this public holiday is meeting up with our small grp coz its been so LONG since we met up coz Uncle Ben has a baby and we last tried to call for a meeting over Gd Fri but it was cancelled last min as Ian was down with fever....so this time we made it! While waiting for Uncle Eugene to meet us at TB to make our way to the other part of Spore - Tampines, we brought Ian to play the swing which he played with Joy some wks back and he's still enjoying the swinging high effect! Well we hardly find swings at playground these days and so was quite glad we found this for kids (esp they have a special buckle to get kids tightly on) v near our place....for Ian to work out his limbs before embarking on the long journey to the East hehee
Well had so much to talk to the other folks, we din take much pic except this one with daddy and Baby Aiden....he looks really chubby like when Ian was much younger and pple were teasing abt his sumo legs hahaa guess its just baby fats hahaa...anw Ian had a gd time there being the other child (since the other is a baby and he can't play much with him) and he was eating lots (yes 1 pizza after another) and taking over the pple's territory and even ended up playing with baby's toys.....he was totally NOT tired for his nap and quickly wanna rush off after he was so much past his nap time and we had another extended session with Kelvin and Siew Lee for some Ikea shopping and then eating seafood for dinner.....it was nice catching up with friends and its quite tough when u got kid coz Ian was asking us questions non-stop while we had our chats....well waiting for Aiden to grow up and play with him and hopefully Ian won't bully him since they are 2 yrs+ apart

In His time....

This week, we see Ian 'promoting' to the big potty for his poo2 biz....since he was barely 13 mths he's been on the kids' potty and we have been trying to cajole him to go on to the adult potty (but with the kid's seat) but he has been most apprehensive as he was afraid to fall off the toilet hahaaa....no matter how we convinced him that it was safe, he was just NOT keen (even seeing how his cousins sat on it wo the kid's seat) anw this week mama tried and he was quick to say 'OK!' and we had a go for it and he did it!

With the recent happenings of how Ian showed his easy transitions to sleeping on his own, off his nap diaper and now moving on to the potty, its just proved to us that much worries were unfounded as there was a time mama was even unsure if Ian could sleep on his own and there just din seem any light at the end of the tunnel.....but today we could say In His time, God makes all things beautiful in His time....no matter how pple can say how their kids are able to sleep on their own without the parents' presence, we need to trust that our kid will do it 1 day! When will that happen, we can be sure God's timing is there, we just can be assured it will come. For those parents reading Ian's blog and thinking when their kid will be able to transit, the day will come just as we have waited (tho not quite patiently at times hahaha)

Just some thots after these 2 happening weeks of Ian's signs of growing up....hhmm its definitely easier to talk sense into him these days. Next hurdle is for him to go pee on his own with the sch uniform (as would think this is quite impt when he really goes sch next yr so we got another 1/2 yr more) as he can do with home clothes except a little messy =p

Ian has proceeded to Nursery Class in Sun Sch....

Last Sun, when mama tried to pick Ian up from Sun Sch and as surprised to find him coming out of the Nursery class (instead of the Pre-nursery class which he had attended since beginning of this yr) and then ah mu explained that she managed to convince Ian to attend Nursery class instead. hhmm since end last yr, mama tried to ask the teacher IC if Ian could attend Nursery class instead of pre-Nursery (reason being Ian could let go of mama which most kids who are attending pre-Nursery attend with their mamas and felt it was more proper class teaching in Nursery) but was turned down as they go STRICTLY by yr....well there is red tape everywhere anw a disheartened mama was glad ah mu was taking the pre-Nursery class for 1/2 yr which meant Ian would be comfy with that class wo mama since ah mu was taking that class....he seems fine in that class for these few mths expept he's rather shy with the other kids (wonder issit coz of the parents' presence or....anw he's quite a diff self in BSF)

And so ah mu's 1/2 yr stint is coming to an end and was wondering if Ian could 'click' well with the incumbent teacher...anw ah mu did suggest talking to Ian if he dun mind going into the Nursery class (as Joy jie2 and other jie2s are in there as well) and Ian has been abit aprehensive maybe coz he doesn't know what is in it for that class and he's comfy with ah mu and the class setting....anw after so much, last Sun ah mu upon seeing only 2 kids for that Nursery Class managed to convince Ian to go in and then sit in the class with the other 2 jie2s and the teachers were alright with his addition guess he's not the sort who doesn't listen and he can take instructions quite well and then he came out of the class with a pack of biscuits guess its the 'reward' for doing class work last Sun

So kind of ah mu to do up a similar file for Ian (to file all his works) as the other kids in the class (at least Ian won't be upset with him not having a file since most kids carry a file into that class on Sun) and today was his 2nd lesson and there were quite abit of kids today and ah mu tried asking him not to attend the class today since it might be alittle crowded with all the kids....but the persistent Ian wanted to go into the class even if it's packed....guess he's all set to go into Nursery class from henceforth and he's surely enjoying every bit of activity he's doing as he's always coming out of class happily and even happier with the new blue file =) =)

It seems he's abit ahead of his peers going into the Nursery class but its a gd platform to experience the class setting before he goes sch proper next yr and on Sun he will then have his peers joining him the classroom next yr then! For the time being, he has jumped class for his Sun Sch class hahaa guess never quite happen before =p

Ian's off from his nap diaper and he's sleeping on his own bed =) =) =)

Ian's been toilet trained for a yr and mama's been procrastinating to get him off his nap diaper coz he can nap for 2-3 hrs and this long nap means alot of precious time for mama to do her stuff like cooking, reading the papers and even BSF homework but well the day diaper has finally ran out (ya think we overstocked his diapers hahaa) and guess he's ready to go diaper-less for his nap (he's always been off his diapers during trips coz usually he doesn't nap so long on the go) and finally mama decided it was THE day and true enough, the boy woke up after 1 hr nap and told mama he had enough zzz and then he was up and running....for that, we are taking naps in the living room with his towel and pillow (so as not to wet the bed) and he's been happy sleeping in the living room and on wkends he will hit the floor with his daddy =) so for now, we dun need to get any more diapers hahaaa coz we got a 'sponsor' for his nite diapers (ie ah gong who always kindly supply us with bags of diapers) and guess its abt time....to slowly integrate Ian to taking short nap and sleeping early at nite and then preparing him to go sch in the am session next yr!
It almost took place the same day as the day Ian took short nap and that nite he was happy to sleep on his sheep bed with the thomas the train bedsheet.....since Ian's been 1+ he's been co-sleeping with us as he was still BF-ing that time and he conveniently crawled up and snuggled with us...mama was getting lazy in bringing him down each time he got up the bed so it just became a habit.....last yr we tried getting the sheep bed from Ikea so as to encourage him to sleep just beside mama on his own bed....he 'abandoned' the bed for some gd mths and rather snuggle with us while we got all his arm and leg jabs as he was growing bigger and he was taking more space than ever.
Just last wk, ah mu was asking if he was sleeping on his sheep bed and wonder what got into him and he started saying Thomas the train and ah mu just asked if he wanna have thomas the train's bedsheet (as she has a spare one previously used by Seth) and that boy (who's not quite a thomas fan) said Yes and then soon we had the bedsheet and this wk mama changed it while he stayed over po2's pl and when he was back home, he was most pleased with the thomas bedsheet but that nite he slept a while and he crawled back.....the subsequent day after he had a short nap, wondering issit coz he din have enough sleep in the day, he knocked out on his own bed and slept thru the nite....we were all pleased with the easy transition to get him to sleep on his own and we had a little celebration for the boy...it was great achievement considering he's always been so used to having his mama and daddy beside him....anw it was a idea we got coz when we visited the Highlands recently, the room came with 2 queen sized beds and Ian was keen to have his own bed and he was sleeping on his own so we toyed with the idea when we came back and also when he's at po2's place he's always sleeping alone on the mattress....so we gathered it was time and just din expect it to be so SMOOTH =) =) cheers for our 3-yr old boy!

Ian's new found 'friends'??

Ian has attended Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for almost 4 mths but the past few wks have been an ordeal for both him and mama coz abt a mth back, Ian started asking not to go BSF after complaining a few times that he got 'pushed' by di2 in class.....continued to bring him to BSF altho he will always hesitate not to go in when we are outside the classroom.....mama din know what to do and the teacher took him over by carrying a tearry boy into the class. This went on for at least 3-4 weeks until it 'climaxed' at a wk that he was pulling back when we stepped into the church and it took a long while before getting him into the class.

Mama was quite affected in a way coz never seen Ian in this tearry mode and had to continue to 'push' him into the class and just praying it will be over soon. Some said it was normal for kids as the novelty of attending 'sch' wears out after some time.....mama's leader even reminded her it might be some bully going on in the class which makes Ian not wanting to go class but reminding mama that bullying does exist in schs.....

2 wks ago, Ian finally got over this 'ordeal' and was back to his normal self of going back to the BSF, what a relief to mama.....and this week, Ian came home telling mama there is a John in his class and he gives this grin on his face (which we have never seen before) as there was so much joy when he was talking abt this new found friend and along with this other friend called Kai-ann....this just made this boy so happy abt going BSF and he even role play for mama with teacher asking boys aside and girls the other side and he said he was standing beside John....this was sth we never expected from him hahaa our boy is making friends already and this was sure unexpected change and mama told Ian to point out John and Kai-ann when mama go and pick him up next week (hahahaa so curious ma!) just so thankful the 'ordeal' ended and it turned out that there was joy out of the ordeal Ian went thru and he's so looking fwd to BSF now =) =) =)

Happy Mother's Day!

Today, it caught us by real surprise when there was no Sun Sch coz it was sth Ian has been looking fwd since we missed it last Sun when we were away to Genting.....so today after saying bye to mummy (as daddy was bringing him up to Sun sch when mama goes for svc) he was real happy looking fwd to SS....well later mama saw kids in the sanctuary and knew there wasn't SS so later Ian joined mama in the sanctuary and after all the worship he was still asking for SS....so daddy took him away and when later they came back, it was crowded without and seat so we went out of mezzanine and Ian gave mama this paper...it was quite sweet of daddy to bring him out to do some crafts for mama =) and later when he was showing it to other aunties and uncles we met at the social hall, he actually point the red circle below as mama's face hahaaa well this is the 1st art piece from Ian and certainly will keep it for momento, with each passing Mother's Day its sure telling mama this boy is growing up =)

A few days ago at po2's pl, po2 asked if he was gonna buy present for mama but he said he got
no money so will go and buy the present with daddy hahaa....this boy sure has us in his heart =)

And for the Mother's Day dinner we had dinner with the Iong clan at Waraku Marina Sq and we had a tatami room for the 19 of us and here's a shot of some of us before the rest came to join us....the room was spacious for the 7 kids to go ard and play their games. It was a fun time having the tatami room all to ourselves! Happy Mother's Day!

Ian turns 38 mths old this Mother's day!

Yet another mth has passed and this mth somehow we were out on every wkend and there was always this balloon distribution and Ian's always wanting a balloon (whatever for coz we will put into his tent when we are home) and once in a while he will hold the whole bunch of balloon and sing the song "Joy is the flag flown from the castle of my heart" while flying the balloons...for that we will collect balloons every wkend arrgghhh

This mth, we visited a pre-sch for Ian and thereafter he went po2's pl and started telling po2 and the aunties there that he's going a sch....guess great achievement for the boy since the aunties have been asking what sch is he going....so mama checked him out by asking if he's going to the sch just below po2's block but he said NO....'my sch has a big playground' hhmm guess the greatest attraction to going to the pre-sch is the HUGE indoor playground they have for the kids hhmm wonder is this bad or gd....gotta slowly change his mindset abt going to sch for serious stuff hahaa
This mth, his dearest toy is this stack of Snap playcards coz just some wks back we visited ah mu's place and he was playing the memory card game with Seth and he likes it so mama decided to open the pack we have and started playing with him and since then he's been so attached to his cards, he even brought to po2's place stayover once to play with po2 and ah gong hahaa guess its the toy he's most attached to now....he's asking how to play 'Happy Family' guess that will take more time for him to learn how to play it

He's ever into taking pics for us and now he will dictate daddy to sit beside mama while he captures a shot....guess its quite gd for him to hone his photography skills and something for him to do in the evening...somehow he only wanna take pics when daddy is back guess he knows usually we take pics in grps hhmm

Ian's got this pouty mood when he's not happy with some stuff....he will pout and look down sorrowfully (yet to ever capture such a shot) and then he will go all quiet (which is v unusual of him to keep quiet for some time) and then he will fuss over what he's not happy so when mama's not happy, mama also keep a stern face and then he will ask daddy 'What happened to mummy?' guess he knows we usually say that so he's learning from us....well he's happy most of the time and now he's ever singing more songs and even po2 is asking what is he singing and usually he will tell po2 that mama taught him....hhhmm wonder if mama ever taught him so many songs hahaa but its a gd way to know he's happy and relaxed most of the time by the way he is singing and usually with much gusto hhmm

The last road trip then we realised he's making all sorts of funny faces when we take pics....some time ago mama read a blog abt her friend's gal who's making funny faces when taking pics with her mummy and now its happening to us....sigh wonder if its into every kid...anw while we think the kid is also smiling as widely as us, never did we find out that he is actually making funny faces while we are smiling so silly ahhaaa
Last week while we were doing painting, Ian suddenly did some strokes and asked mama if that was the letter 'H' and then he was writing the 2nd letter he has learnt and this is quite similar to the letter 'I' actually just that some strokes are longer anw the 1st word Ian has learnt to write is "HI" hahaa just wonder how he chooses to learn to write some letters and not the others...he continues to surprise mama with each passing day....he has mastered his numbers 1-10 quite well and just the other day he was going on after 10 and he said one-teen, two-teen, three-teen, four-teen, five-teen, sixteen.....hahahaa when we told him its eleven, twelve, thirteen....he was going 'huh, but its sixteen, seventeen....why not the same??' Sigh life is just like that sometimes u got no answer to the kid's endless questions hahaa
And for alphabets, he's recognising them quite a bit (all thanks to his alphabet puzzles) and now he's learning Aunty Lorraine starts with A.....Joy jie2 starts with J and Ian starts with I but he can't accept pple sharing same letters like Daddy starts with D but dayi can't share the same letter as daddy hhahaa....wonder how to explain that each letter is not unique for each name

This mth, he has also learnt to pick up calls on our home phone and just a couple days ago, he was dashing for the phone call and when mama asked for it, he said No, po2 talking to me...and there he sits crossing his legs and chatting with po2.....last wk he was talking to dayi and going ard the place pointing to things and telling dayi what he has hahahaa chatting at such young age wonder if he'll become a chatty boy?? hahaa but he's quite different when he's in class (at least in BSF) he will observe pple and dun talk as much and v wary of pple but usually v much engaged when teacher is doing songs with actions (he will jump and do whatever actions....guess he's most relaxed with songs) well this is what mama observed when peeping into BSF class guess that's the only place mama could spotcheck on him hhaaa but just visiting the sch he also wary of the kids coming near him and yet wanting to befriend them....just wonder if he will be the friendly kind or shy one when he goes to sch.....well 1/2 more yr and we will know....how time flies, 7 more mths and Ian will be going to sch soon.....sigh and now its the thinking which sch to go and how best to fit into his napping schedule and shld continue him on BSF (which means skipping a day of sch per wk) hhmm this boy is surely growing up with each passing day and week and mth and he's better at articulating what he wants.....sometimes its hard to act blur at his requests....just the other day he said he was thirsty and wanted his bottle but mama just wanted him to drink from his cup but he would say 'I want the blue and yellow bottle' and he actually went to find it and brought it to mama and said 'This bottle' sigh....guess he knows his own wants and wants his voice heard....well well our boy is surely growing up =)
Well on such a day, its indeed a rewarding vocation for a mummy who's seeing how her boy is growing up surely by the grace of God!

Cycling fun!

For some time, we haven't been taking Ian's bike out for a ride coz of bad weather and also laziness to load up the bike hahaa...today ah baa suggested cycling for the kids and instead of bia-ing to ECP, we did along the river valley area which was quite nice coz there was proper cycling track, we could park the car just next to the track and take down the bike....the adults could sit along there....hhmm daddy was washing his car and then later we had ice-cream with some ice cream van there =)
Since we got the bike for Ian, he has been 'trying' to cycle proper but not the kind of speed we thot it shld go but well today he did it with the 'pressure' of the other 2 cousins =) he wanted to go fast like them so he peddled real hard =) he must have used up alot energy going up and down the track with Seth gor2 but glad he finally love cycling and we could do this more often? Look the happy smile on his face when he finally learnt to make U-turn and manovere the whole bike on his own...yes, later he insisted cycling back home from the car park back our home =)

And then later the kids were having fun on the bike asking who to ferry who and Ian was asking how come how hard to peddle when gor2's on his bike hahaa of coz its now more than triple ur own weight that u are trying to peddle....hahaa but Ian was super happy to be able to ferry everyone's water bottles coz of his basket that is right in front =) we shld go cycling more =) but forgot to bring his helmet and guards which we got hhmm

A wkend getaway to the Highlands....

For a long time we haven't travelled with the extended family and this Labour day we have made our way up in 2 cars to the Genting Highlands....that Sat morning we headed off early to avoid any possible jam....Ian was still zzzing when mama told him it's HOTEL time and his eyes immediately open to jump up for the trip! Was abit apprehensive of the LONG drive up to KL (to have lunch before Ian could take his nap) but it was quite gd....he was entertained by dayi in the car and when the adults were snoozing, Ian could just gaze outside the window and check the passing vehicles wo dozing off...it was a gd trip after all!
After 3hrs+, we finally reached a place for lunch and it was at this Nando's restaurant where they serve quite yummy chicken! Here we are taking a break from the long trip before we head up to the Highlands!
Here we are happily waiting to check into the Awana Resort and all are upbeat of the stay at the resort!

The resort stay comes with return skyride to the top of the hill and being PH it was super long queue for the skyride but it's worth the while with the nice ride up and the kids were happy to take the 'cable car' since we dun quite have it in Spore now

Here we are at 1 of the hotel's restaurant for dinner buffet and all of us were gulping up the food and fruit! Here's the family in red...in order not to lose each other in the busy place, oh boy there were like tons and tons of pple at this highlands

After the dinner, we were in for a fireworks treat! Yeah it was a labour day fireworks which was gonna be viewed at the outdoor theme park! Guess we were all caught by surprise that there was ever such a grand celebration at the highlands....guess we have this affinity with fireworks in Msia coz we chanced into it when we last went Melaka over the new yr wkend....but this fireworks just fell in front of us, as if we could catch them but it proved abit too loud for Ian who was trying to hide on daddy's shoulders!

The rest of us just enjoyed the generous fireworks in celebration of the Labour Day! Guess we were just happy with the pleasant surprise!
Day 2 - To the Strawberry Park and theme park!
Just driving ard, we found out there was a strawberry park at the middle of the hill (close to where we were staying!) and we could pick strawberries on our own...this is kindof a dream we wanted to do in Aust last yr but it wasn't in season...well well here we are!
This place had lots of strawberry stuff, even the fountain was full of strawberries.....and we must capture a family shot here hehehe

Here are the 'farmers' before setting off to pick their strawberries with their baskets and scissors....yes, scissors to cut off the fresh strawberries

Here's Ian with jiu2 in their strawberries picking and Ian's most happy to have the scissors to cut the strawberries...and jiu2 was teaching Ian to pick BIG red strawberries to bring home

And here we are for the strawberries picking as well and must say its quite fun just hopping from plant to plant just to choose ur red juicy strawberries altho we gotta pay them by the grams

Other than crazy over strawberries, they were selling lots of stuff that has strawberries on them and for 1, the kids were crazy over the strawberry UMBRELLAS!!! Yes....all wanted a hold on 1 of the brollies...wonder why kids are so crazy over umbrellas

After we deem strawberry umbrella was for gals, the 2 boys just went under Joy's umbrella to capture a shot and dun they look happy just holding the umbrella....
How could the boys just stay contented looking at Joy holding onto her umbrella and not them...sigh and they ended up having 1 umbrella each, complimentary of dayi and po2! And Ian had a HUGE umbrella coz they din have a purple small one....hhmm well we could use this umbrella to go out when it rains tho its kind of girly coz its abit lacey

Then we headed to the indoor theme park and after Ian's nap, daddy was quite fast in getting a ticket for him and off they went to the horsey rides....this was quite gd to start Ian off for the rides coz this was abit like those kiddy rides but since we paid a day price so he could take endlessly which was quite worth....tho the queue can be alittle long wait but well its alright for the RM$26 ticket!
After some rides, we met up with the rest of the folks for lunch at a Chinese restaurant there and Ian was most hungry after a nap and some rides....he was gulping up noodles, rice and even dim sum..here he is with the 3 egg tarts dictating that it for gor2, jie2 and himself...not even for mama and daddy sigh
Anw soon we were off for Ian's rides but he was going with Aunty Lorraine coz we reckon we dun need to spend $$ on adults tics since Aunty Lorraine and Jiu2 already had the band to play in the theme park so it was quite nice Ian could be with Aunty Lorraine while daddy and mama went shopping for a while =)
here we are sending off the 2 kids with their Aunty Lorraine and Jiu2 on this monorail ride which took quite long ie 40 mins but guess they could see the indoor and outdoor theme park so might be quite worth the long ride....manage to capture them in the cabin coz it was kindof tough capturing pics since they are on the rails which is quite high

After some shopping, we tried to look ard for Ian on the rides and were quite glad we found Ian with Aunty Lorraine on the ferris wheel coz later Aunty Lorraine told us after the long queue for the ferries wheel, Ian was asking for us and while in the cabin they managed to find us waving at them and Ian was quite relaxed thereafter....guess he was so happy with Aunty Lorraine he was in fact waving happily and endlessly at us...

And there he is coming out of the ferries wheel which had the longest queue of all the rides the kids took! Guess coz it goes 10 rounds for each cabin so that was why it's a long wait but this was picked up Ian (as Lorraine told us later this was requested by Ian after he was out from monorail!)

And then it was to the horsey ride again after Joy's up from her nap and here are the 2 kids on the horses they have specifically chosen! And Ian's relaxed after taking so many times

And here are the 2 little ones on the train rides...this was 1 of the few rides that rarely had queue...wonder why nonetheless the kids had a chance to sit at the front, at the centre and back of the train so they took 3 times in total....poor Lorraine had to go up and down with them =p
Here are the 2 little ones queuing up for the Reindeer rides....

Then we met up with jiu2 and seth gor2 (who went for the outdoor theme park) for the gondola rides and glad we made it for the ride coz while they were on the gondola rides, 1 of the gondola hit onto the side wall and the gondola svc ended just after they came back....glad their gondola din meet any such 'accident' and they were happily singing all songs on the ride....such a nice 'Venice' trip huh hehhee
And then it was Bumper car....Ian was abit hesitant abt taking the car ride coz of the noise but after some time of viewing how it worked he was relaxed to sit beside seth gor2 who drove the car and each time he bumped into another car, Ian would stare quite hard at the other kid and must be wondering how come the 2 cars must collide hahaha guess will gotta wait till he's bigger like Seth then he could manovere the car on his own but was quite an experience
And then it was the reindeer ride again except this time its with Seth and Jiu2

And then it was the end of the day with all the theme parks band coming together to end the day of endless rides and fun, just thanks to Aunty Lorraine and Jiu2 who kindly looked after the kids n taking the rides with them & of coz having to entertain them while waiting in the long queues!

It was a day of fun for the kids at the theme park and then when we returned back to the hotel, it was supper time by dayi and here's Ian eating the burger and fries and of coz playing dayi's i-touch games!
Day 3- bidding farewell to the Highlands
After the brekky, we checked out and hit to KL where we had some time of shopping at the Tesco and here is Ian on his train rides which was complimentary of ah gong and he sat for at least 3 times sigh gd thing it was only RM 50cents

Then we had a finale lunch at this nice lunch place which ah baa has brought us here so many times but we just loved the food and this special dessert which is sweet potato but coated with some honey syrup and its super yummy and the price is reasonable and it's away from the crowd coz its at some industrial park....nice to end the trip with this yummy lunch =)
It was a nice wkend getaway with the extended family and wish we could stay longer hahaha well another time we guess but it was more than 20 yrs ago when the Chng clan came for Genting trip and the place has changed so much and this time we are coming back with 3 generations and so much laughter with the younger kids and it was our 1st road trip together and there was so much love and joy at every meal we share =)
