Ian had his 1st holy communion today!

Today marks e 1st day of e yr n it also happened to b e 1st Sunday of e yr. N for our church, they r having family worship on 1st Sunday of every mth instead of 4th Sunday as in e past.

N for 1st Sunday of our church we partake e holy communion as such e kids will b participating in it so we had to prep Ian. We used to sit as mezzanine of e church for family worship but Ian was getting restless at each combined svc when he has to sit thru for 2h+ so we decided to sit down to sanctuary front pew. We tried last sun Christmas svc n it seemed Gd coz we were so near e pulpit n pastors n Ian was more prim hee. But for tat, we will b away fm daddy n mei2 as mei2 need her nap n patting at mezzanine.

Tdy being 1st sun, we had communion as a family yes, daddy carried mei2 on arms n joined us at e altar to partake communion. We hv prep Ian abt e meaning of holy communion tho he was abit horrified to hear we take God's body n blood to drink n was tough explaining it as a symbol of His sacrificial death on cross. Wonder how much got into him as we tried our best to explain n he tried part of e wafer (symbolizing God's body broken for us) n drink (symbolizing God's blood shed for us) well Ian din like e wafer taste aft mama shared bit w him but he loved e drink which he thereaft said tasted like ribena n wanted another cup. Hee wat a 1st experience but it was sure an eye opener for Ian as e last he was w us for holy communion was b4 he entered sun Sch n we even rem him taking back e communion cup. Well tat must b abt 2yrs back. Well Gd change for e new yr n he's so looking fwd to next communion!
